    search.
    The body of Franklin Arthur
Piper, one of three children et
Mr. and Mrs. Leonard F. Piper
    of Lewiston, was found partially
    submerged in a channel near
    Stella Niagara late yesterday. The
child had been the object of a
    day-and-a-half search by Coast
    Guardsmen, police and volunteer
    firemen.
    Two rivermen, Charles McCormick
    and Clyde Kolloff of Lewiston,
    located the body while boating.
    Niagara County Coroner
James W. Heary said the boy
either slipped or fell into the
water from a boat dock about 250
    yards from his home. Franklin's
socks and shoes were found on
the dock shortly after he disappeared
    on Tuesday.
    The Pipers' other children are
    Elizabeth Ann, 15 months, and
    Leonard Russell, three months.
