    Louise A., widow of the late Herman Brauer, died suddenly at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Henry Klein, Beach Ridge Road, Town of Pendleton, Sunday morning, August 8, 1837. She is survived by three sons, five daughters, Mrs. Minnie Leavy of Buffalo, Mrs. Ernestine Meyer of Wrights Station. Mrs. Augusta Smith of Lockport, Christian Brauer of Norwood, Mass., Miss Marie Brauer of Buffalo, Mrs. Louise Klein, Town of Pendleton, Albert Brauer of Lockport, Herman Brauer of Gettsville, eight grandchildren, also four brothers, three sisters. Funeral services will be held from the Klein residence Wednesday afternoon, August 11th, at 2:15 and from Trinity Lutheran church at three o'clock. Burial in Trinity Lutheran Cold Springs Cemetery.

    LOCKPORT - The operator of a Town of Pendleton restaurant, Albert C. Brauer, 59, of 99 Church St., died today (Dec.10, 1965) at his home after suffering an apparent heart attack. The fire department first aid squad was summoned to the Brauer home at 6:18 a.m. today but reported Mr. Brauer was dead when they arrived. Born March 15, 1906, in Pendleton, the son of Herman and Louise Krull Brauer, he had operated operated Brauer's Restaurant, Campbell Boulevard, Pendleton, for more than 25 years. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Gaul Funeral Home. Rev. Ernest E. Heuer, pastor of Trinity Lutheran Church, will officiate at a funeral service to be announced later. Burial will b e in Cold Spring Cemetery.

She was a member of St. John the Baptist RC Church, its Altar and Rosary Society, Lockport Memorial Hospital Guild, and a volunteer for the Red Cross, Salvation Army and Meals on Wheels. She enjoyed bowling, golfing, playing cards and gardening. There will be no prior visitation. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday March 12, 2016 at 10 AM, at St. John the Baptist RC. Church, 168 Church Street, Lockport, NY . Memorials to Niagara Hospice 4675 Sunset Drive Lockport, NY 14094, would be appreciated. Private internment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.     On Thursday, September 8, 2022, Janet A. (Brauer) Engel, loving mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away at the age of 80. Janet was born on October 27th, 1941, in Lockport, NY, to Albert and Anna (Dryer) Brauer. She attended nursing school and became an RN; she then joined the Army Reserves and held the rank of lieutenant. After serving her country, she went on to earn her bachelor's then master's degrees. She raised one son, Geoffrey. Janet had many interests such as biking, gardening, traveling, volunteering, sightseeing and lunches with old and new friends. Janet was preceded in death by her brothers, Robert and Richard Brauer. She is survived by her son, Geoffrey and his wife, Pamela; her grandson, Blake and his wife, Carli. A small Service will be held at the Mount Olivet Cemetery Resurrection Mausoleum Chapel on October 20th at 12:00 PM.

    Wife of 45 years to David R. Holahan, mother of Staci Holahan and Amber (Adam Gierach) Holahan and grandmother of Keaton and Merritt. Daughter of Marge (nee Rollain) Brauer and the late Charles Teal and the late Robert Brauer and sister of Charles (Becky) Teal, Lisa (Robert) Stachowski and Cheryl (James) Michalowski. Also nieces, nephews and cousins. The family will receive relatives and friends on Friday April 12, 2024 from 3-6 PM at JOHN 0. ROTH FUNERAL HOME, INC., 25 William St. (between Morgan & Broad Sts) in the City of Tonawanda, where a Prayer Service will be conducted on Friday at 6:00 PM following the visitation.
