Services for Marlyn R. Mellenthine, a former Kenmore resident who was a teacher's assistant in the Kenmore-Town of Tonawanda School District for 30 years, were held today in Bury & Roberts Funeral Home, Kenmore. Burial was in Elmlawn Cemetery, Town of Tonawanda.
Mrs. Mellenthine died Friday in the Upshur Nursing Home, Gilmer, TX, where she had lived for six months. She was 69.
Born Marlyn Bargmann in Buffalo, she attended area schools.
She retired from the Ken-Ton School District in 1998.
She was an active member of Pilgrim Evangelical Lutheran Church, Kenmore, where she was a Sunday school teacher and served on several committees.
Her husband, Calvin, died in 1995.
Survivors include a son, Michael D., of Gilmer; a daughter, Carol Williams of Kenmore; four grandchildren; five stepgrandchildren; and a stepgreat-grandchildMarilyn married MELLENTHINE, Calvin Walter on 16 Jun 1954 in Kenmore, Erie County, NY.
