    LOCKPORT, Nov. 6 - a retired machine operator who was employed for 18 years by the Upson company, John C. Fritz, 72, died yesterday morning at his home, 317 Washburn street, after a long illness. Born in Martinsville, N. Y., Mr. Fritz came to Lockport about 30 years ago. He retired eight years ago, due to ill health. Surviving are his wife, Alsa ; two daughters, Mrs. Erwin Bailey, Lockport, and Mrs. Silas Yingling, Gasport, N.Y.; a son, Floyd E. Fritz, Lockport, and four brothers, George Fritz, Tonawanda; Louis Fritz, Shawnee, N. Y.; Julius Fritz, Martinsville, and Edward Fritz, Town of Lockport.
