NORTH TONAWANDA - Herbert H. Leverentz, 64, of 64 Allen St., died unexpectedly Saturday evening (Nov. 5, 1955) in his home. NORTH TONAWANDA — Eleanor R. (nee Leverentz) Senechal, age 88, of North Tonawanda, May 30, 2011 in DeGraff Memorial Hospital. Eleanor was a member of St. Mark Lutheran Church. She served the Lord faithfully as an LWML officer, preschool teacher, classroom aide and volunteer. She loved sewing, cooking and entertaining guests.

She was the wife of the late Howard Senechal, who died in 1994. Beloved mother of Harold Senechal of Utica, NY, Dale (Linda) Senechal of Boston, MA, and Mark (Susan) Senechal of Houston, TX; grandmother of Matt and Brianna Senechal.

Friends may call at the Fretthold Funeral Home, Inc., 1241 Oliver St. at Ward Rd. in North Tonawanda on Wednesday from 7-8:30 PM. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 10 AM. The Rev. Marcia M. (Leverentz) Newman, 88, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed from this life on Saturday, May 6, 2017 in Schoellkopf Health Center. Born on May 8, 1928 in North Tonawanda, NY, Marcia was the daughter of the late Clarence and Matie (Baehr) Leverentz.  On May 11, 1996, she married Nels E. Newman.
Mrs. Newman graduated from North Tonawanda High School and later from Kelley Business Institute.  Marcia was employed as an engineering secretary for E. I. DuPont.  She was a former member of St. Mark Lutheran Church in North Tonawanda and currently a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church in the Town of Niagara.  For many years, Mrs. Newman served as a volunteer at Mount St. Mary’s Hospital and in her younger years Marcia played bocce ball on the DuPont league.
In addition to her beloved husband, Mrs. Newman is survived by step-children, Sally Mastrangelo, Nels A. Newman, Mary Lynn (Robert) Marcolini and Patricia (David) LeGault; a brother, Fred Dale (June) Secrist; nieces and nephews, James (Eileen) Leverentz, Jane Harris-Hattaway, Paul (Gloria) Leverentz, Thomas (Connie) Harris, William Leverentz, Alice (Dave) Ortiz and Brett Secrist; nine great-nieces and nephews and many great-great-nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Marcia was predeceased by two siblings, Robert (Lillian) Leverentz and Donna (late James) Harris.
The family will be present to receive friends on Monday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. in the Chapel of OTTO REDANZ FUNERAL HOME, in the Town of Niagara.  Family and friends are invited to attend a funeral service honoring Marcia on Tuesday, May 16th at 11:00 a.m. which will be celebrated in Our Savior Lutheran Church, 2759 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY.  EVERYONE PLEASE ASSEMBLE AT THE CHURCH.  Prayers of committal and interment will follow in St. Mark’s Cemetery, Wheatfield, NY.

TOWN OF WHEATFIELD — LeRoy E. Stenzel, age 87, of the Town of Wheatfield, unexpectedly, on February 17, 2012 in DeGraff Memorial Hospital. Mr. Stenzel was a lifelong member of St. John Lutheran Church, where he had served as an Elder and the Sunday School Superintendent. He had retired from Buffalo Pumps after 35 years of service.

He was the husband of the late Claribel Stenzel, who died in 1997. Beloved father of Duane (Karen) Stenzel of Florida, Richard (Debra) Stenzel of North Tonawanda and Judith (Robert) Sommers of Wheatfield. Grandfather of Natalie (Ethan) Eldridge, Kristine (Kenneth) Perez, Sharon Stenzel, Jessica Stenzel, Jonathan Peter, and Jennifer Sommers. Great-grandfather of Autumn Perez and Matthew Eldridge. Brother of Mike (June) Stenzel of Niagara Falls. Uncle of several nieces and nephews.

Myron "Mike" E. Stenzel, age 83, of Wheatfield, was called to his heavenly home on February 8, 2016, at Mount St. Mary's Hospital. Born May 8, 1932, he was the son of the late Erwin and Mary (Leverentz) Stenzel.
A 1950 graduate of North Tonawanda High School, he was a Korean War veteran and employed as a machinist at Kimberly Clark and Harrison Radiator. After retirement he was a courtesy driver for David Chevrolet.
Mike was a member of Holy Ghost Lutheran Church, American Legion Wheatfield Post 1451, VFW 9011, former Fire Police Captain with Bergholz Fire Company, and enjoyed bowling, horseshoes, Euchre, roller skating, and Bills fan. Mike was very patriotic and displayed the American flag proudly.
Survivors include his wife, June E. (Williams) Stenzel; three children, Jeff (Belinda) Stenzel of Bergholz, Sandy (Bob) Miller of Houston, TX and Dawn Stenzel of Wheatfield; six grandchildren, Nicole, Michael, Allison, Kyle, Sarah and Riley. Predeceased by a son, Michael Stenzel and brother, LeRoy Stenzel.
Visitation at the DUBOIS FUNERAL HOME, 2436 Niagara Road (Bergholz) in Wheatfield on Thursday 6-8 p.m. and Friday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Services conducted by the Rev. Michael L. Stenzel, age 50, of Niagara Falls, NY was called to his heavenly home peacefully into the arms of Jesus, after a long courageous battle with cancer.

Born June 20, 1965 in Niagara Falls, NY to Myron (Mike) and June (Williams) Stenzel. He attended Holy Ghost Lutheran School and graduated from Niagara Wheatfield High School in 1983. He was formerly employed at Greene & Kellogg, Superior Lubricants, and Norampac. Michael was an avid Buffalo Sabres fan as well as a NASCAR fan. His sense of humor was unique and enjoyed by many. Michael was a lifelong member of Holy Ghost Lutheran Church.

Besides his parents, Michael is survived by his son, Michael Stenzel II, whom he cherished; brother, Jeff (Belinda) Stenzel of Bergholz; sisters, Sandy (Bob) Miller of Houston Texas; and Dawn Stenzel. Michael also leaves behind four nieces, Nicole, Allison, and Sarah Miller of Houston Texas, Riley Stenzel; and one nephew, Kyle Stenzel; two aunts, Ol Chaddock and Elaine (Al) Eichin both of Titusville, FL, several cousins and special family friend, Lois Handley.
