C. L. Heppner
Dies at 90

NORTH TONAWANDA —
Charles L. Heppner, 90,. of
632 E. Thompson St., husband
of the late Martha Strebe,
died Tuesday (March 12, 1963)
in Hilltop Nursing Home, Gasport,
after a long.illness.
He was born in Germany
and lived in the Tonawandas
for 88 years. He was a member
of Salem United Church
of Christ and was formerly
employed by Rem-Rand division
of Sperry Rand Corp., retiring
in 1946.
Survivors include a daughter,
Mrs. Julius Fischer; two
sons, Edward C. and Glenwood
L., all of this city; a sister,
Mrs. Charles Bruske,
Tonawanda, and three grandchildren.
Funeral services w i l l be
conducted at 2 p.m. Friday at
Creasey Funeral Home, by
Rev. Karl H. A. Rest. Burial
will be in Elmlawn Cemetery.

TYLER, TX —
Gene Robert Heppner, 81, passed away on April 18, 2013 at the Texas State Veterans Home in Tyler, TX.
Mr. Heppner was predeceased by his wife of 24 years, Bernice, in 2011. He is survived by a brother, Nelson Heppner, North Tonawanda, NY; a daughter, Genelle Roselli, Tyler, TX; and two grandsons, Dominick and Steven Roselli; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Mr. Heppner was a career Navy man who served his country with honor and distinction during the Korean and Vietnam Wars, achieving the rank of Chief Petty Officer. In accordance with his last wishes, he will be buried at sea.
