Born in Buffalo, Mr. Jendrian, resided in this city the greater part of his life. he was appointed a patrolman on Nov 18, 1927, serving until he retired on Dec 20, 1954. he was a member of Salem united Church of Christ, the Eldridge Bicycle Club, and the Frontier Police Club. NORTH TONAWANDA - Funeral services for Frederick W. Jendrian, 59, of 7141 Schultz Road, will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Roth Funeral Home, the Rev. Enno A. Schmoock officiating. Burial will be in Resthaven Cemetery. Mr. Jendrian died unexpectedly Saturday (May 16, 1970) at DeGraff Memorial Hospital. Born in Buffalo, he had lived in the Tonawandas for more than 50 years and was employed by the Wurtlizer Co. for 18 years. For the .past eight years, he was employed by the Kittinger Furniture Co. in Buffalo. CITY OF TONAWANDA — Violet M. (nee Jendrian) Wells, age 90, of the City of Tonawanda, died on Monday, May 6, 2013, after a brief illness. Born in Buffalo, NY, she had been a resident of Tonawanda for more than 60 years, and was the wife of Robert W. Wells, who died in 2002; and mother of Cheryl McCarthy, who died in 2003. Violet was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in the City of Tonawanda, Order of the Eastern Star Auxiliary, and the Tonawanda Senior Citizens.

She is survived by two children, Marlene (the late Kenneth) Lynch of Dunkirk, NY, and Brian (Bethann) Wells of West Falls, NY; two grandchildren, Steven (Kim) Lynch and Diane McKune; and three great-grandchildren, Christopher and Ashley Lynch, and Alexa McKune.

Family will receive friends on Wednesday from 4-7 PM at JOHN O. ROTH FUNERAL HOME, INC., 25 William St. (between Morgan & Broad Sts.), City of Tonawanda. Born in Buffalo, she was the daughter of the late Eugene and Minnie (nee Jendrian) Bobenread and had worked at Sears & Roebuck in Buffalo. She was the wife of the late Norman F. Kimberle, Sr., who died January 18, 1986.

She is survived by her children, Shirley (Bill) Eller of Avondale, Pennsylvania, Diane (late Reno) Vaillancourt of North Tonawanda, Marilyn Kimberle of North Tonawanda, and Norman Kimberle, Jr. of Amherst; and her sister, Elma (Francis) Wyland of Florida. Also surviving are 10 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, 4 great, great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

PENDLETON - Elmer E. Jendrian, age 82, of Pendleton and formerly of the Tonawandas and Williamsville, Monday, March 21, 2011, at his residence, surrounded by his loving family. Born in North Tonawanda, he was the son of the late Emil and Anna (nee Ponewas) Jendrian. Elmer was a 1946 graduate of North Tonawanda High School and had been employed by WSF Industries in Tonawanda for many years. He was a member and past treasurer of St. Paul’s United Church of Christ and a former longtime member and past treasurer of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Betty R. (nee Getty) Jendrian; three children, Debra R. (Boyd J.) Bunce of Lockport, Leslie A. (James) Andrews of Newfane and Timothy E. (Pamela) Jendrian of Lockport; 10 grandchildren, Heather (Jason), Joseph (Melissa), Jennifer (Keith), Melonie (Jeremy), Bruce (Kayla), Daniel, Hanna, Jessica (Justin), Crystal and Raymond, and loved and was loved by his 12 great-grandchildren.

Airman's Body Awaited By Parents
WHEATFIELD - Parents of Airman 2nd Class Ronald Jendrian, 19, who was killed Thursday (Feb. 1, 1962) in an Oklahoma auto accident today were awaiting'information on return of their son's body. Mr. and Mrs. Frederick Jendrian were notified by telegram of their son's death shortly, before noon Thursday. A later telegram notified them that the body would be shipped here. A letter was to follow with time of arrival. Airman Jendrian was killed when he lost control of his car on Oklahoma highway No,. 44,, southwest of Lone Wolf, Okla. The car plunged 125 feet down.the side of a mountain. Airman Jendrian, whose home is at 7146 Schultz Road, was stationed at Altus Air Force Base, Altus, Okla. He attended Burgard Vocational School, Buffalo, and enlisted in the Air Force Dec. 13, 1960. He had been home on leave for Christmas. Born in the Town of Wheatfield, he was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, North Tondwanda. In addition to his parents, surviving are two brothers, Specialist 4th Class Gerald Jendrian, with a radar squadron on Okinawa, and Richard Jendrian, at home; a sister, Mrs. Gerald W.
