    city, and eight brothers, Stanley and
    Philip, of the U. S. Navy; Thomas,
    Andrew, Stephen. Leonard, Francis
    and Henry, all of this city.
    The body is at the Zajac Funeral
    home. Interment will be in Riverdale
    cemetery.

    IUKA, MS — Thomas J. "Tom" Nowak, 79 years old, of Iuka, MS and formerly of Niagara Falls, passed away on May 28, 2013 in Iuka. He was born in Niagara Falls on December 29, 1933, the son of the late Henry and Mary (Monko) Nowak. Tom served with the United States Navy from November of 1952 until his retirement in December of 1973. He served in the Korean and Vietnam conflicts.

    Tom is survived by his wife, Naomi J. Nowak; his sons, Stanley (Juli) of Harrisburg, PA and Thomas Nowak of White Cloud, MN; his brothers, Stephen (Donna) Nowak and Leonard (Karen) Nowak and sisters, Pauline Pucak and Marjorie (John) Urban, all of Niagara Falls. He was predeceased by his brothers, Paul, Stanley, Frank, Phillip, Andrew, Martin and Henry and his sisters, Helen Oliver and MaryJane Baggos.

    Interment with military honors was held in Iuka at the Cypress Grove Cemetery. Local arrangements by the LABUDA FUNERAL HOME, INC.

    LEWISTON — Andrew H. Nowak, surrounded by his loving family, was called home to the Lord on Tuesday, December 7, 2010, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. The family is grateful for the dignity provided by Niagara Hospice.

    Andrew grew up in Niagara Falls, NY and attended local schools. In 1960 he joined the Niagara Falls Police Force and retired after 27 dedicated years to the City of Niagara Falls.

    Andrew is survived by his wife of 54 years, Janet (Sullivan) Nowak. Andrew will be lovingly remembered by his three sons, Martin of Lewiston, Vincent of Texas, and Sean (Erin) of Illinois; three daughters, Linda Hardison of Lewiston, Diane (Joe) Ippolito of Grand Island, and Katherine Nowak (Miles Smith) of Sewickley, PA. Andrew H. was predeceased this year by a son, Andrew V. Nowak. He is also survived by grandchildren, Eric, Samantha, James, Ryan, Sean, Jayden, Gregory, Evan, Ian, Nicole, Rachel, Kyle, Lila and Whitney and great-grandchildren, McKenna and Lincoln; and several nieces and nephews. Andrew will also be remembered by his brothers, Thomas (Jo) of Mississippi, Steven (Donna) of Niagara Falls, and Leonard (Karen) of Niagara Falls; and sisters, Pauline (late Myron) Pucak and Margie (John) Urban, both of Niagara Falls. Andrew was predeceased by brothers, Henry, Martin, Stanley, Frank, Philip and Paul; and two sisters, Helen Oliver and Mary Jane Baggos.

    Friends may call at HARDISON FUNERAL HOME, N. Fourth & Ridge Sts., Lewiston on Friday from 4-8 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Robert Hughson on Saturday, December 11th at 10 AM at the St Vincent de Paul Parish, Prince of Peace site at 1055 N. Military Rd. (Please assemble at church.) Entombment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Holy Angels Mausoleum.     Stephen J. 'Pinky' Nowak, Sr., 77 years old, a man of honor, noble in character and the pillar on which this family was built and will continue to stand passed away on Saturday, May 13, 2017 at Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center. He was born in Niagara Falls on May 17, 1939, the son of the late Henry and Mary (Monko) Nowak. 
    Steve attended local schools and worked at Occidental Petroleum for 36 years retiring in 2000. He enjoyed fishing, especially his trips up North; playing cards; OTB and his weekends at Turkey Point, but his greatest love in life was his family and spending time with his grandchildren. 
    Steve is survived by his wife of 54 years, Donna (Lasky) Nowak; his children, Stephen (Carla) Nowak, Jr., Brenda (Frank Pati) Chatt, Jennifer Nowak Hallett and Allison (Ronald II) Appoloney; his grandchildren, Michael (Christine) Chatt, Lauren, Tori and Ronald III Appoloney, Morgan and Nate Nowak and Emma and Evan Hallett. He is survived by his brother, Leonard (Karen) Nowak; and his sisters, Pauline Pucak and Mary Margaret 'Margie' (John) Urban; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers, Martin, Phillip, Henry, Stanley, Thomas (Jo), Andrew (Janet) and Frank (Elaine) Nowak; and his sisters, Helen Oliver and Mary Jane Baggos. 
    Friends may call on Monday from 3-9 PM at the LABUDA FUNERAL HOME, INC., 356 Portage Road. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday at 10:00 AM at Divine Mercy Parish, corner of Niagara and 24th Streets with Rev. Jacek P. Mazur officiating. PLEASE ASSEMBLE AT CHURCH.     TONAWANDA - Douglas L. Oliver, age 57, of Tonawanda, died Sunday, June 8, 2014, after a brief illness. Born in Niagara Falls, he was the son of the late William and Helen (nee Nowak) Oliver and had been a lifelong resident of Tonawanda. A member of St. John Lutheran Church in North Tonawanda, he was employed at Washington Mills in Niagara Falls before retiring due to illness.

    He is survived by his daughter, Madison Oliver; three brothers, James (Cheryl) Oliver, William (Lynn) Oliver and Robert (Anna) Oliver; two sisters, Jean Marie (Lance) Fadden and Charla L. Bodie; and three step-children, Jessica (Cory) Theal, Michael Hartman and Josh Hartman. Also surviving are many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

    Friends may call today (Wednesday), from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the HAMP FUNERAL HOME, Inc., 37 Adam Street at Seymour, Tonawanda. Funeral services will be held at 10 AM Thursday at St. John Lutheran Church, 6950 Ward Road at Niagara Falls Blvd., Wheatfield. Friends invited. If desired, memorials to Hospice Buffalo are preferred by the family.
