Funeral services for John J.
Sullivan, 62, who died yesterday
(May 26, 1957), will be held at
10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Rhoney
Funeral Home and at 11 o'clock
at Sacred Heart Church. Burial
will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
Mr. Sullivan had a heart attack
at his home, 2101 North Ave.
A native of this city, he was
active in baseball and track during
his youth and was a member
of the Essex Club, a former semipro
baseball team.
He was formerly employed at
the old Cliff Paper Co. and for
the last 25 years at Kimberly-
Clark, where he was head shipper.
Surviving are his wife. Veronica
Sullivan: two daughters, Mrs.
James Dowling and Mrs. Alex
Rountree: five sisters, Mrs. Peter
Crotty, Mrs. Robert Argy. Mrs.
Winifred Beck and the Misses Ann
and Margaret Sullivan; and three
grandchildren.
Mr. Sullivan was a member of
Sacred Heart Holy Name Society,
which will recite the Rosary at
8:15 p.m. tomorrow at the funeral
home.

Russell Francis Beck, seven-year-old
son of Mr. and Mrs. Russell H. Beck.
of 2208 Cleveland avenue, died at 7:30
o'clock last evening in Memorial hospital
of injuries suffered at 1 o'clock
yesterday afternoon when run over by
an automobile driven by Robert J.
Forbes. 516 Eleventh street, at Ontario
avenue and Twenty-second street. The
boy suffered internal injuries when one
of the wheels of the automobile passed
over his abdomen. Forbes took him to
the hospital.
In reporting the accident to police,
Forbes said that the boy was roller
skating on the pavement and skated directly
into the path of the automobile.
Forbes was unable to stop or swerve
the car to avoid hitting thc boy, he
said.
Besides his parents the boy is survived
by a sister. Mary. Catherine Beck:
his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. John
Sullivan, this city, and Frank Beck. In-
diana. and several uncles and aunts In
this city. The funeral will be held
Saturday morning at 8:30 o'clock from
the home and at 9 o'clock in the Church

LEWISTON — Joan Crotty, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on Saturday, February 25, 2012, in Mount St. Mary's Hospital, Lewiston, NY.

She was born in Niagara Falls, NY, on August 29, 1932, the daughter of the late Peter J. Crotty and Genevieve (Sullivan) Crotty.

Joan went to Scared Heart School and graduated from St. Mary's High School in 1950. She started with the telephone company the day after graduation and retired after 30 years in 1980.

Joan was always happy taking care of her mother whom she loved so much. "Mom Crotty" was known and loved by everyone on Linwood Avenue.

She went to Mass and Communion everyday until she could not do it any more. Father Jim would say Mass and bring Communion to the house. Joan enjoyed visitors and company; the door was open for everyone. She was loved by everyone and will be sadly missed.

Joan is survived by one brother, William (Pat) Crotty; two nieces, Kathleen Williams and Chrissy Dukta; also several great-nieces and nephews. She had many good friends, Nancy Dorato, Ada Mort, Pauline Demspey, Dee-Dee Polley, Amy Ciskiewis, Linda Dillen, Rose Paulson and Jay, who helped her throughout the years. She was the sister of the late brother Father John C. Crotty, S.S.J.

There will be no prior visitation as Joan donated her body to the University of Buffalo School of Medicine. Friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, at 10:00 AM, at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, 259 Fourth Street, Niagara Falls, NY, with the Rev. Jacek P. Mazur officiating. LEWISTON — Virginia A. “Ginny” (Argy) Venditti, 57, of Lewiston, NY, entered into rest after a brief illness on Sunday, October 9, 2011. Born in Niagara Falls, NY, she was the daughter of Patricia (Morris) Argy of Lewiston, NY and the late Paul E. Argy, Sr.

Ginny attended local schools, graduated from Niagara Falls High School in 1972, and attended Niagara County Community College. On December 7, 1974, she married Pat D. Venditti at Our Lady of the Rosary Church in Niagara Falls, NY.

She was manager of the Niagara Falls Air National Guard Federal Credit Union for over 25 years. She also served as treasurer on the Board of Directors and as treasurer for the Niagara Chapter, Credit Union Association of New York for over 15 years. In 2006 she was awarded “Professional of the Year” for all of the New York State credit unions. In 2009 the credit union merged with the Niagara Falls Air Force FCA, where she continued working until her illness. Ginny enjoyed traveling with her family and friends. Most importantly, her life centered on her family and family gatherings.

In addition to her mother and her husband of 37 years, Ginny is survived by two sons. Michael B. (Jennifer N.) Venditti, Matthew J. Venditti, both of Niagara Falls, NY; one daughter, Julie M. (Sean P.) Lanigan of Novi, MI; one granddaughter, Gianna N. Venditti; sisters, Joanne (late James Sr.) McClincy of Lewiston, NY, Katherine (late Gene) Mullins of Bradenton, FL; two brothers, Paul (fianceé Ellen) Argy, Jr. of Niagara Falls, John (Lynn) Argy of Grand Island, NY; brother-in-law, David (DeAnn) Venditti; and her mother-in-law, Carmella (late Patsy) Venditti. She is also survived by aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Ginny also enjoyed her monthly gatherings with her dear friends of over 45 years, Linda Etopio, Rhonda Muto, Ann Killian, Mary Bryant, Angela Ponzi and Cecile Zeimetz.

Visitation will be on Tuesday from 3–8 PM at M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY, where funeral services will begin on Wednesday, October 12th at 11:45 AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial, at 12:30 PM, at Holy Family of Jesus, Mary and Joseph Parish at Our Lady of Mt. Katherine A. (Argy) Mullins, 55, passed away on Wednesday, January 16, 2013 at her home in Bradenton, FL. She was born on February 27, 1957, the daughter of the Patricia (Morris) and the late Paul E. Argy, Sr.
Katherine attended local schools and graduated from Madonna High School. She worked at several medical offices in Niagara Falls. She was the wife of the late Gene Mullins.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by one daughter, Kari Mencl of Woodbridge, VA; one grandchild, Julia Mencl-Morton; one sister, Joanne (late James Sr.) McClincy of Lewiston; two brothers, Paul (Ellen) Argy, Jr. of Niagara Falls, John (Lynn) of Grand Island; aunt of James, Jr. and Patrick McClincy, Michael (Jennifer), Matthew Venditti and Julie (Sean) Lanigan, Ashley (fiance' Michael) and Robert Argy, Nicholas and Natalie Argy; and first husband, Roger Mencl.
