Mrs. Mary B. Benthin, 92, of
Medina, died Sunday morning
at the Medina Memorial
Hospital, where she had been a
patient since June 1978.
Mrs. Benthin was born Sept.
25, 1886, in Wolcottsville, the
daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Herman Korkow
She had lived in Medina for
most of her life and was a
member of St. Peter's
Evangelical Lutheran Church.
Her husband, Albert Benthin,
died April 3,1955, and she was
the mother of the late Howard
Benthin and the late John
Benthin.
Survivors include two sons,
Walter Benthin of Medina and
George Benthin of Waterport;
12 grandchildren and six greatgrandchildren;
a sister, Mrs.
Ella Sy of Wolcottsville and
several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call Tuesday (2-
4 and 7-9) at the Barnes-Tuttle
Funeral Home, 226 Pearl St.,
Medina, where funeral services
will be held Wednesday at 11
a.m., with the Rev. Ronald
Haefer officiating. Interment
will be in Mount Pleasant
Cemetery, West Shelby.

Irene Diane Brown,77, of Middleport went to be with her Lord and Savior, on December 18, 2016 at Buffalo General Hospital. She was born September 30, 1939 in Medina, NY to Walter and Lena Benthin and married Robert Brown on May 7, 1976. Irene attended Medina High School and was a long time resident of Middleport. She retired from Fisher Price Toys. She loved playing bingo with her friends. She is survived by her husband, son, Will (Carolyn) Kropp, of Henrietta; daughter, Kim Kropp Wesley of Summerville, SC; her step-children, Jacqueline (Michael) Jurinich, Medina; and J. Casey (Leah Smithey), Brownstone, MI; five granddaughters, six great grandchildren; and her brother, Fred Benthin of Medina. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, December 30, 2016 at the Calvary Tabernacle Church, 324 Catherine Street, Medina, NY. Rock Hill, SC - Mr. Robert Allan Sy, 58, of Rock Hill, passed way Friday, September 12, 2014, at his home.

A catholic service for Mr. Sy was held at 12:00 Noon, Monday, September 15, 2014, at Saint Mary Catholic Church, 902 Crawford Road, Rock Hill, with Father Augustin Guzman officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the church.

Mr. Sy was born in Niagara Falls, NY and the son of the late Raymond and Elma Reimer Sy. He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and owner of Comfort Systems in Rock Hill, SC. He was retired from General Motors and he was a former officer of the UAW. He was a member of American Legion, a craftsman and loved woodworking. He loved his grandchildren and they adored their Boppa.

Mr. Sy is survived by his wife, Judy A. Payne Sy; his sons, Matthew Raymond Sy (Tara), Daniel E. Ralyea, Jr. (Tina), and Christopher Ralyea (Becki); his daughter, Elizabeth (Eli) Kochilla (John); his brother, Bill Sy (Jody); and his grandchildren, Cameron Sy, Lyvia Sy, C.J. Ralyea, Robert (Bubba) Ralyea, Keeley Ralyea, Cecilia (Cece) Ralyea, Elizabeth Ralyea, John Ralyea, Victoria Kochilla and Lenore Kochilla.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Saint Mary Catholic Church, 209 Crawford Road, Rock Hill, SC 29730. The money will be used for pro-life causes.
