    Donald S. "Diesel" Bajorek, 79, of North Tonawanda , after a lengthy illness,Thursday (January 26, 2017), in the VA Hospital Buffalo. Mr. Bajorek was born in North Tonawanda on July 18, 1937 to Alfred and Mary (Ordian) Bajorek. Don volunteered for the draft and served two years active duty in the United States Army. Upon his return from the service he was employed by the Syracuse Supply Company representing Caterpillar heavy equipment for forty years,
    Don enjoyed being a part of Jim Hurtubise's race team, was a member of AMVETS Post 26, and enjoyed fishing and playing cards.
    Donald is survived by his beloved wife of 55 years Majorie (Krueger) Bajorek, father of Susan (Daniel)Duryea, and D. Scott Bajorek, brother of Marilyn (the late Yves) Renuy, Margaret (John) Treese, Daniel (Nancy) Bajorek, also survived by nieces and nephews.
    Friends may call Friday (February 3, 2017) from 3-7 P.M. at the Wattengel Funeral Home, 533 Meadow Drive, North Tonawanda, NY, where a memorial service will follow.
    If desired, memorials may be made to the Veterans Administration Hospital at Buffalo, Palliative Care Unit.
