    Patrick Smutek, 48. of 1008
    Niagara Fall$ Blvd., died. Wednesday
    (Feb. 10, 1971) at Millard
    Fillmore Hospital, Buffalo,
    after a short illness.
    Born in Lockport, he lived in
    this area most of his life and
    was formerly employed by Remington
    Rand.
    He is survived by his mother,
    Angcline Szeliga, a brother,
    Chester Szeliga, six nephews,
    two nieces and several aunts
    and uncles.
    Prayers will be said at 9:30
    a.m. Monday followed by a requiem
    Mass at 10 a.m. at Our
    Lady of Czestochowa Church.
    Burial will be in Mount Olivet
    Cemetery.
    Friends may call from 2 to 4
    and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and
    Sunday at the funeral home

    A former North Tonawandan,
    Chester W. Szeliga, 22, died early
    Monday in a house fire at his residence
    at 7705 Buffalo Avenue,
    Niagara Falls.
    Officials said the fire was caused
    by careless smoking. The victim
    was an upholstery apprentice in
    Niagara Falls.
    He is survived by his mother,
    Eleanor Szeliga of Niagara Falls,
    and father, Chester Szeliga of Hannibal,
    N.Y., eight brothers and sisters
    and his grandmother.
    A memorial service will be at 2
    p.m. Wednesday at the Cooper
    Funeral Home, 8028 Buffalo Ave.,
    Niagara Falls.

    of Niagara Falls, Monday (May 19,
    1986). Born in North Tonawanda, he
    had been a resident of Niagara Falls
    since 1973. He was an upholstery
    apprentice with Bracken Upholstery
    of Niagara Falls.
    Son of Eleanor Szeliga of Niagara
    Falls and Chester Szeliga of Hannibal,
    NY.; brother of Martin, Anthony,
    Larry, Timothy and Thomas
    Szeliga of Niagara Falls, Ms.
    Marcia Cavagnaro of Lockport,
    Mrs. Dennis (Cynthia) Weber and
    Mary Szeliga of Niagara Falls;
    grandson of Mrs. Angeline Szeliga of
    Lockport; two nieces and a nephew
    also survive.
    No prior visitation. A memorial
    service will be held Wednesday at
    2:00 p.m. at the Cooper Funeral
    Home, 8028 Buffalo Ave., Niagara
    Falls. The Rev. Erwin Brese officiating.
    Burial was in St. Pauls
    Lutheran Cemetery.
