Dies at 67
Leon J. Taylor, 67, of 2397
Old Falls Boulevard, Town of
Wheatfield, died this morning
(Dec. 26,1969) in Roswell Park
Memorial Institute, Buffalo, after
a lengthy illness.
Born in Watertown, he had
lived in this area for.50 years.
He was a brakeman with the
New York Central Railroad and
retired in 1958. Mr. Taylor was
a member of the Switchmen
Union and of the Bergholtz
Volunteer Fire Co.
Survivors include his widow,
Mae Starner Taylor; two
daughters, Mrs. M e 1 v i n
(Shirley) Motzler, Youngstown,
and Mrs. Roger (Carol) Moretz
of Grand IsJand; a son, Eldwin
Tay'or of Sanborn; a sister,
Mrs. Roy Towne of Newfane,
and five grandchildren.
Private funeral services will
be held in the Chapel of
Memorial Park Cemetery Monday
at 11 a.m. The Rev. Willard
A. Mason of the Free Methodist
Church will officiate.
Contributions to Roswell Park
Memorial Institute will be ac
ceptoble as tribute, the family
said.
