Mary E. (Ferrara) Vilardo, 96 of Niagara Falls, NY passed away on Saturday May 9, 2015 at Schoellkopf Health Care Facility. Born in Niagara Falls, NY she was the daughter of the late Biagio and Liboria (Barone) Ferrara.

Mary was a lifelong resident of Niagara Falls. She attended local schools and graduated with honors from Niagara Falls High School in 1937. On April 19, 1941, she married Nicholas J. Vilardo at Our Lady of Lebanon Church in Niagara Falls. Mr. Vilardo predeceased her on June 19, 1988. Mary was employed at several local companies which included, the former Niagara Searchlight Company, Beir’s Brothers, DiCamillo Bakery and retired from Niagara Mohawk. Mary was a devout Catholic and member of the Anime Sante Del Purgatorio Society of St. Joseph’s Church as well as the Ladies Cristoforo Colombo Society. Above all, Mary will be remembered as a loving and generous mother and grandmother.

Mrs. Vilardo is survived by her two sons, Nicholas S.J. (Barbara) Vilardo and Ronald B. (Cathy) Vilardo both of Niagara Falls, NY, four grandchildren, Michael (Karen) Vilardo, Maria Vilardo, Anthony (Cheryl) Vilardo and Lisa (Daniel) Supon, four great-grandchildren, Miranda Vilardo, Carmella Vilardo, Catherine Vilardo and Lyla Supon, her sisters-in-law, Lucy DeDario and Marie Fillicetti, brother-in-law, Salvatore “Tommy” Vilardo, nieces, Anne Conte, Margie Ballanger, Lucy Taibi and nephew Joseph Saia. She was also predeceased by three sisters, Jessie Tedesco, Jennie Terenti and Constance Scime Conti.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL 2730 Military Road Niagara Falls, NY. Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday May 13th with a time and place to be announced. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery Lewiston, NY. In lieu of flowers, memorial offerings may be made to Niagara Hospice 4675 Sunset Dr. Lockport, NY 14094.

Ronald ‘Ron’ B. Vilardo, 70, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on November 24, 2021 surrounded by his family under the care of Niagara Hospice.  Born in Niagara Falls, NY, he was the son of the late Nicholas and Mary (Ferrara) Vilardo.
Ron graduated from Niagara Falls High School in 1969 and later attended SUNY Geneseo.  On November 26, 1977, he married Cathy V. (Certo) Vilardo at St. Teresa's Church in Niagara Falls, NY.  Ron was employed for 43 years as a Sales Supervisor with Certo Brothers Distributors in Niagara Falls and Buffalo, NY, retiring in 2019.  Ron was a longtime member of Niagara Frontier Country Club, a former coach and member of the Board of Directors for Whirlpool Park Little League, and the former Chairman of the Niagara Falls Boys and Girls Club Auction, as well as a member of the Pine Avenue Business Association.  "Ronnie V" was an avid golfer, and loved laughing with his friends.  Above all, he cherished the time he spent with his family, especially his children and grandchildren.
In addition to his wife of 44 years, Ron is survived by his children, Anthony (Cheryl) Vilardo and Lisa (Dan) Supon; his grandchildren, Carmella Vilardo, Kate Vilardo, and Lyla Supon; his brother, Nicholas (late Barbara) Vilardo, NFFD Ret.; his mother-in-law, Natalie (late Henry ‘Hank’) Certo, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.  He was the brother-in-law to the late Peter I. (Rose) Certo, Hank (Shayne) Certo, Jr., Marie (Ken) DeMont, Joe (Nancy) Certo, Ken (Tracy) Certo, Dr. Margaret (Joe) Certo, and Mark (Kristin) Certo.  The family would like to thank dear friends Joe Sarkees, Anthony Antonacci, and Steve Conte for all their help and love.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 28 from 2 – 6 PM at M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY 14304.  Ron’s Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, November 29 at 10:30 AM at St. Raphael’s Church, 3840 Macklem Ave, Niagara Falls, NY 14305.  Everyone please assemble at church.  Entombment in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lewiston, NY.  In lieu of flowers, memorial offerings in Ron’s memory may be made to the Niagara Falls Boys and Girls Club, 725 17th St, Niagara Falls, NY 14301.  Visit mjcoluccifuneralchapel.com for online condolences.
