    Kristen M. Berak, 48, of Niagara Falls, NY, entered into rest peacefully at her home on Friday, October 19, 2018.  Born and raised in Niagara Falls, NY, she was the daughter of Sharon (Salvatore) DeMarco and Carl (DeSales) Berak. 
    Kristen attended local schools and graduated from Niagara Catholic. She worked as a waitress for numerous restaurants in the area and recently worked for Niagara Mohawk in customer service. She was loved by her family and friends and was always there to lend a helping hand.
    In addition to her parents, Kristen is survived by her sister and best friend, Karri Berak (Vincent Bonura); and her cherished nephew, Vin Bonura who called her, “Aunt Kursey.” She is also survived by her step-brothers, Jordan Toohey and Joseph Toohey; her uncle Tony (fiancé Diane) Berak; and many cousins, as well as her dear friends, Rob and Sarah who referred to Kristen like a Mother; and her beloved dog, Diamond.
    Visitation will begin on Wednesday, October 24th from 3 – 7 p.m. at M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY. Kristen's Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday at 10:00 A.M. in Holy Family Parish at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 27th Street and Independence Ave, Niagara Falls. Interment will be held at the convenience of the family. Visit mjcoluccifuneralchapel.com for online condolences.
