Mrs. Tierney
Mrs.. Mary J. Tierney of
2493 Military Road died Monday
(Oct. 21, 1963) at Memorial
Hospital after an illness
of about a year. She was
45.
Mrs. Tierney was a lifelong
resident of this city.
Surviving are her husband,
James Tierney; two sons,
James and Michael Tierney,
both of this city; her father,
George Pfeifer, this city; two
brothers, Frederick Pfeifer, of
Boston, N. Y., and George
feifer, of Sanborn; three sisters,
Mrs. Frank Shomers and
Mrs. Norman Dawe, both of
Niagara Falls, and Mrs. Allen
Bentley, of Bradford, Pa.; and
one grandchild.
Services will be held at
8:30 a.m. Friday at the Lane
Funeral Home and 9 a.m. at
St. Leo's Church. Burial will
be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
The Rosary will be-recited
at 8 p.m. Thursday at the
funeral home.

Notes:

Michael F. Tierney, 63, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on April 8, 2021 at Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center.  Born in Lewiston, NY, he was the son of the late James and Mary (Pfifer) Tierney.
Michael was employed as an EMT with Frontier Ambulance and also as a laborer with Laborer’s Local #91.  His life centered around his family, and he loved being a Papa to his grandchildren.
Michael is survived by his wife, Janine L. (Scarcelli) Tierney; his daughters, Maria (John Serbert) Tierney and Amanda Scarcelli (Blake Napierla); his grandchildren, Mia, Giavanna, Max, Molly, and Baby Blake; as well as several other close family members and cousins.  He was the Dearest Uncle to Wendy (Joe) Kiszewski, and also survived by his loving friend, Georgia Kiszewski, and was the son-in-law of Joanne (late James) Scarcelli.  He was predeceased by his brother, Pete Tierney.
