He was a successful florist for the

business in 1902.
Mr. Treichler was a former member
ot Pekin Grange, a member of
Lewiston Rotary club, of which he
Was I past president, a member and
past president of Sanborn Volunteer
Fire-company and a member of San-
born Lions club. He was a trustee
of Sanborn school, District 8, for 27
years and a member of Lewiston
Town Board for 23 years.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday
at 2 p. m. at the Pike Fu-
neral home, Hoover road, where
friends may call this evening and
thereafter. The Rev. George Bost,
Lewiston. will officiate. Interment
will be in Mount View cemetery
Pekin.

SANBORN - Wilbur E. Treichler Sr. 77, of 2863 Saunders Settlement Road, died Saturday (July 3, 1982) at Memorial Medical Center, Niagara Falls, after a brief illness. He was a lifelong resident of this area where he had owned and operated the W. E. Treichler & Son Florist since 1945. He was a member of the Sanborn United Methodist Church and served on several church committees. He was a charter member and past president of the Sanborn Lions Club, and was a member of the New York State Flower Growers Association, the Niagara County Cooperative Extension and the Niagara Falls Area Chamber of Commerce. He is survived by his wife, Helen; son, Wilbur E. Jr. of this town; daughters, Mrs. Marilin Truesdell of this town and Mrs. George (Sandra) Armitage of Niagara Falls; brothers, G. Mark and C. Lloyd, both of this town, and Harold E. of Virginia; sister, Mrs. Leora Campbell of Newfane; and eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Of Sanborn, NY, passed away on Saturday, February 11, 2017, in Niagara Hospice House, Lockport, NY. She was born in Niagara Falls, NY, on August 20, 1929, a daughter of the late Harry and Mildred (Bridgeman) Treichler.
Mrs. Ingraham was a floral designer with Treichler's Florist for over 35 years, before retiring in 1999. She was an active member of Hope United Methodist Church, the Friendship Club and the lunch bunch. Gray will be remembered as a care giver to others in the Sanborn community over the years. She loved spending time with her family and friends who were very important to her. She also enjoyed playing cards, gardening and taking care of her plants.
She was the wife of the late Richard L. Ingraham, who passed away in January of 1988.
Mrs. Ingraham is survived by two daughters, Cherie (Ricky Feuerman) Ingraham and Janice (Mark) Walck, two granddaughters Tara (Sekou) Henry and Shanna (Ron) Hackett four great grandsons Luke and Ellis Henry, Landon and Cooper Hackett.
Her family will be present on Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM RHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 5893 Hoover Road, SANBORN, NY, where funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 AM with the Rev. Matthew Kofahl officiating.

Armitage, Sandra L. (nee Treichler)

February 15, 1940 - April 16, 2024

age 84, of Buffalo, formerly of Sanborn, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 16 after a long illness. She spent much of her final days with her loving children. She is remembered for her sharp mind and sharper sense of humor, which endeared her to all. Sandy was born in Silver Creek, NY on February 15, 1940. She grew up in Sanborn and graduated from Wilson High School in 1958. She raised her children in Lewiston, balancing homemaking with an interest in photography (which led to her frequently commandeering the bathroom for use as her darkroom) and schlepping her kids to various music concerts and athletic competitions. She also worked as a bookkeeper for various Western NY accounting firms and small businesses. A lifelong animal lover, Sandy volunteered at the SPCA in retirement, spending much of her time with cats who were up for adoption. This naturally led Sandy to adopt some of those cats, who became her constant companions. She also loved to stay in touch with, and visit, her nieces, nephews and cousins, many of whom were thoughtful enough to move to beautiful places (Hawaii, California, Virginia). Sandy is survived by her children, Deborah Maloney Hicks of Getzville, NY and Bruce of Pittsburgh, PA, her granddaughter Lara Maloney of Woodland Park, CO, her brother Wilbur (Bill) Treichler of Wheatfield and her beloved cats, Jack and Lily. She was preceded in death by her parents, Wilbur and Helen Treichler of Sanborn, her sister Marilyn Truesdell of Buffalo and her grandson Christopher Maloney of Lockport and Conway, SC. No Visitation. A celebration of Sandy's life will be scheduled for later this year. Mrs. Licht was employed with the W.E. Treichler Greenhouses, in Sanborn, Jones Flower Shop and Glar-Ban, both in Tonawanda, before retiring as home health care aide in 1993.
She was the church organist for many churches throughout the area.
Mrs. Licht was a foster grandmother at Errick Road School from 1994 until 1999.
She enjoyed socializing, reading, Bible study and traveling.
She was the wife of the late John A. Licht, Jr. and Donald W. Truesdell.
Mrs. Licht is survived by three sons James P. (Marta), Joel W. (Elizabeth) and Jerald D. (Robin) Truesdell; a daughter-in-law Ann Truesdell; her brother Wilbur E. (late Janice) Treichler; a sister Sandra Armitage; eight grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren, also many nieces and nephews.
She was the mother of the late Rev. John Truesdell.
Her family will be present on Friday, February 3rd from 10-12 PM at the RHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 5893 Hoover Road, Sanborn, NY, where funeral services will follow at 12:00 PM.

Leon C. Campbell 100, of North Tonawanda formerly of Lewiston and husband of the late Ruth Moss Campbell died Thursday February 21, 2019 in the Mount St. Mary's Hospital Lewiston, NY.
Born in Niagara Falls, NY on March 16, 1918 he was the son of the late Clifford and the late Lenora Treichler Campbell.  He served in the European theater during World War II as a member of the United States Army. Leon was a Pipefitter, employed by Union Carbide Niagara Falls, NY for 35 years retiring in 1976. He enjoyed the outdoors and working in his yard.
 
Leon is survived by two daughters Diane (Donald) Welch of Liverpool, NY and Pamela (Late Gregory) Alfes, of Blasdell, NY. Also surviving is his grandson Matthew Alfes. Leon is predeceased by a brother Earl Campbell and a sister Doris Annible.

Treichler Green house over the years. Mrs. Hedden was a charter member of Tri-Community Ambulance and a was  member of the Sanborn Historical Society. She enjoyed quilting and attending church while living in Virginia. She was the wife of the late Gilbert D. Hedden, who passed away in December of 1997.    Mrs. Hedden is survived by her daughter, Suzanne M. Allan, two sons Timothy D. (Linda P.) and Jack E. (Maryann) Hedden, Sr.,  a brother Galen M. FARMINGTON — Karen Irene Treichler, age 71, passed away Saturday, November 9, 2013.

She is survived by her mother, Jennie Treichler; daughter, Starr Hurst; four siblings, Rita (Richard) Cronise, Charles Treichler (Karen Russell), David (Karen) Treichler and Judith Pratz; five nephews, Jon Cronise, Dennis (Lana) Johnson, Russell Johnson, Bryon and Ian Treichler; two nieces, Susan (Dale) Harper and Dawn (Bud) McHargue; "adopted" sons and daughters. She was predeceased by her father, C. Lloyd Treichler.

Karen was a member of the first graduation class at Niagara Wheatfield Central School. Karen retired from Harris, RF Communications in 2009, after 42 years of dedicated service. She was a storyteller and writer of children's stories. Karen was a NASCAR enthusiast and was a fan of Jimmie Johnson, #48 car. When she was in her teens, she drove in powder puff stock car races at Ransomville Speedway and loved fast cars all her life. She loved animals, especially horses and was known for taking in all types of strays. Karen enjoyed Canandaigua Lake, whether fishing or just sitting and watching the water. She believed in magic and miracles, had a heart the size of Texas and loved many people deeply. Karen was known for her hugs and "if you got hugged by Karen, you stayed hugged".
