Maxine Winona Trippensee, 85, of Middleport, NY, went into the arms of God peacefully on Thursday morning, May 3rd, 2018 at her residence in the Villages of Orleans in Albion, NY. Born in Buffalo, NY, she was the daughter of the late Harold and Lulu (Winchell) Trippensee.
Maxine was raised on her family’s farm, Trippensee Garden, where she became immersed in greenhouse grown annuals, and cut flower gardens from age 10 until going into a nursing home. She was iconic in the flower business and sold flower bouquets and plants at the Niagara Falls and North Tonawanda City Markets for over 50 years. In her leisure time, Maxine enjoyed playing bingo, going to church and listening to music. She was an extremely hardworking, loving, caring family member and friend. Above all, Maxine loved flowers, nature, people and always had an appreciation for others in life.
Maxine is survived by her adoring niece Lisa (Gregg Jackson) Trippensee and nephews Robert Mott, Steven (Jenn) Trippensee, as well as her brother Roswald Trippensee. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Roberta Trippensee; niece Cheryl Adams; great-niece Tammy (Earl) Anderson, along with many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. She was predeceased by her sister Elaine Trippensee, brother Royce Trippensee, and niece Dawn Mott. We will always deeply miss you! We will always love you! You will forever be in our hearts!
Visitation will be on Monday, May 7th from 12 – 2 & 4 – 6:30 P.M. at M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 Military Road, Niagara Falls, where Maxine’s life will be celebrated at 6:30 P.M.
