Michael Buckley, 82, of -885
Bleecker, died Mar. 12, 1953 at
his home after an extended illness.
Born Oct. 28. 1870 in Macroon.
County Cork, Ireland, he
waa *- son of Timothy and Mary
Callahan Buckley. In 1892 he came
to this country and settled In this
ivicinity. For many years he was
in business for himself as a tailor.
For 22 years he had operated a
restaurant in UUca, retiring many
years ago. On Oct. 5. 1898 he married
Ida C. Vaeth in St. Marys
Church. Mr. Buckley was a member
of St Agnes' Church and
Holy Name Society
He leaves his wife, four sons,
John C.,, Eugene M., W. Gerald
and Timothy J. Buckley, all of
Utica; two daughters, Miss Mary
E. Buckley and Mrs. Charles Mc-
Cleary, both of Utica; one sister,
Mrs. Hannah Williams, Ireland;
eight grandchildren and two great
grandchildren, and several nieces
and nephews.
The funeral will be at 9 a m.
tomorrow from the Ortner Fu-
neral Home, 130 Eagle and at
9:30 a.m. from St. Agnes Church
where a solemn requiem high
Mass will be offered. Burial will
be in Calvary Cemetery.

on Tuesday. January- 6.1987. in
St. Luke's Memorial Hospital Center.
He was bom August 26. 1903, in
Utica. the .son of Michael and Ida
Vaeth. Buckley. On June 23.1925. he
married the former Minnie J. Smith.
in St. Agnes Church. Utica. He has
resided here all of his life. Mr.
Buckely was employed with the J.A.
Firsching & Sons. Inc. Textile Ma-
" chinery- retiring in 1970. Mr. Buckleywas
a member of The Church of Our
Lady of Lourdes and a former member
of its Holy Name Society.
Surviving besides his wife Minnie.
is one son. Eugene M. Buckley. Jr.. of
Wadsworth. OH: one sister. Loretta
M. McCleary. of Utica; three grandsons.
Dennis. Michael and Daniel
Buckley; and also several nieces and
nephews.
Funeral services will be Friday at
1:30 from the Quinn. Ryan & Nunn.
Inc. Funeral Home. 2212 Genesee St
under the direction of Christopher J
McGrath and 2 o'clock from The
Church of Our Lady of Lourdes,
where a Mass of Christian Burial
will be celebrated by the Rev. Monsi-
gnor H. Charles Sewall. Intermment
will be at Calvary Cemetery. Rela-
tives and friends are invited and may
call Thursday 2-4 and 7-9. Remem-
berances in Mr. Buckley's name may
be made to The Church of Our Lady of
Lourdes.

Miss Mary E. Buckley, 75. of 1925
Sunset Ave., died unexpectedly May
24.1961 in St. Luke's Memorial Hospital
Center.
She was born March 2.1908, in Utica.
the daughter of Michael and Ida
Vaeth Buckley. She was educated in
Utica Schools and was a graduate of
the Utica School of Commerce. Miss
Buckley was a Bookkeeper for the
Buckley Cigarette Co., retiring 10
years ago. She was a member of Our
Lady of Lourdes Church and its Altar
Society and the Utica Senior Day
Center.
Surviving is one sister, Mrs.
Charles (Loretta) B. McCleary and
one brother, Eugene M. Buckley,
both of Utica, several nieces and
nephews.
Funeral services will be held
Thursday morning at 10:00 from the
Quinn, Ryan & Nunn Inc. Funeral
Home. 2212 Genesee St, and at 10:30
from Our Lady of Lourdes Church.
Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery'.

Loretta M. McCleary. 73. of 119
Hopson St.. Utica, died Tuesday. June
30.1987, at her home, unexpectedly.
She was born August 13. 1914, in
Utica. the daughter of Michael and
Ida Vaeth Buckley. Mrs. McCleary
attended Utica Free Academy, and
Albany State Teachers College, where
she received a Masters Decree in
Library Science. On June 30.1941, she
married Charles E. McCleary in St.
Agnes Church, Utica, and has resided
here all of her life. Mrs. McCleary
was a teacher and a librarian at Uticca
Free Academy retiring in 1982. She
was a member of the Church of Our
Lady of Lourdes, the Mohawk Valley
Hunt Club, and the New York State
Retired Teachers Association.
Surviving, besides her husband,
Charles, is one daughter and son-in
law, Maureen E. and Roger C. Reath.

Timothy J. Buckley, 45, of
Upper Albany St., Frankfort,
died last night in St. Joseph's
Hospital in Syracuse after an
illness of two weeks.
Mr. Buckley was born in
Utica on Aug,. 4, 1915, son of
Ida Vaeth' Buckley and Michael
Buckley. He was a graduate
of Utica Free Academy,
Class of 1933. Since his graduation
he had been a partner
in the Buckley Cigarette Service.
He married Doris Weeks of
West, Miss on Jan. 14, 1946
in St. Agnes Church. During
World War II he served with
the Army Air Corps. He was
a member of S t Patrick's
Church, Clayville and of its
Holy Name Society. ,
He also was a member of
the Frankfort Center Volunteer
Fire Department and of
Whitestowh Post 1113, American
Legion.

and mother are a daughter,
Linda N.. and a son. Timothy
James, both at home; two sis

neral Home, 130 Eagle St.,
and at 9 from St. Patrick's
