    Whitney, a teacher here for 40
    years and a leader at the First
    Presbyterian church, will be held
    at her home, 552 Seventh street,
    tomorrow afternoon.
    Miss Whitney died at her home
    yesterday.
    A member of one of the pioneer
    families of this area. Miss Whitney
    was born on the Whitney farm.
    Lockport road. Town of Niagara.
    She retired 20
    years ago after
    teaching 40 years
    at the Cleveland
    a v e n u e , Fifth
    street and Third
    street schools.
    She and her sister.
    Miss Emma
    Whitney, were
    lifelong workers
    at the First Presbyterian
    church.
    They were the senior
    members in
    the church and represented a con-
    Unuous family membership in rts
    century and a quarter long history.
    The Whitney family membership
    started in 1831 when Theodore
    Whitney, grandfather of the Whitney
    sisters. Immigrated here from
    England and Joined the First Presbyterian
    Society of Niagara Miss
    Whitney's father. John Whitney,
    was also' a lifelong member of \he
    church and became an elder there
    in 1858.
    Besides her sister Miss Whitney
    is survived by two neices. Mrs. Fred
    M. Ackerson. this city, and Mrs
    Charles Welch. Sarasota. Pla ; three
    nephews. Dr. Clarence Vogt.
    Charles W. Vogt. Tampa. Fit
    and J. Whitney Vogt. Buffalo
    The Rev. Charles C. Berryhill
    will officiate at the services
    Friends may call at the Whitney
    home until noon tomorrow.
