MODELTOWN, N. Y.-Reuben
Widmer, 74, retired farmer, of this
village, died Saturday at Memorial
hospital, Niagara Falls, after a long
period of failing health.
Mr. Widner had been a successful
fruit farmer for many years but
retired when his farm was taken;
over by the government as part of
the site of the Lake Ontario Ord-
nance Works. Since then he had
been making his home here. He
was a member of the Lewiston
Presbyterian church and in former years
took an active part in local
affairs.
Mr. Widmer is survived by three
sons, Fred, of Modeltown. John.
of Newfane, N. Y., and Alfred, of
St. Albans. L. I.; one daughter,
Miss Virginia Widmer, of Brooklyn,
N. Y.; one brother, Oscar, of Wap-
pingers Falls, N. Y.; two sisters,
Mrs. William Martin, of Watertown,
N. Y., and Marion W. Widmer,
of Wapplngers Falls, N. Y,
and six grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at
the Hardison and Beattie funeral
chapel, 1136 Main street, Niagara
Falls, tomorrow afternon at 2:30
o'clock. Thf Rev. George H. Bost,
pastor of the Lewiston, N. Y., Presbyterian
church, will officiate. Interment
will be in Memorial Park
cemetery.

John married VOLK, Alice L on 10 Feb 1934 in Town of Lewiston, Niagara County, NY. Alice (daughter of VOLK, Wallace A and SCHULTZ, Matilda) was born on 1 Aug 1911 in New York; died in Mar 1984 in Appleton, Niagara County, NY. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

(Widmer) October 2, 2011; wife of the late Harold Miller; mother of Mark (Chris) Miller, Beth (Bill) Ruminas and Karl (Anna) Miller; grandmother of Caitlyn Miller; sister of Leonard and Arnold Widmer. A memorial service will be held at the Youngstown Presbyterian Church on October 16th at 4:00 PM. Obituary of Arnold P. Widmer
Arnold P. “Arnie” Widmer, age 81, of Ransomville, died Wednesday, February 23, 2022, at Buffalo General Medical Center in Buffalo, Ny. Arnie was born on January 31, 1941, in Niagara Falls, NY. He is the son of the late Frederick and the late Lillian (Zahno) Widmer. Arnie graduated from Lew-Port CSD in 1959. He enjoyed snowmobiling, stock car racing, hunting, fishing, and helping out Don McGinnis Racing.He served in the U.S Army from 1963 to 1965 and was employed by Washington Mills in Niagara Falls, NY as a Millwright for 37 years retiring in 2002. He is survived by several nieces, nephews, and dear friends.No services will be held. Burial will be in Niagara Falls Memorial Park, Town of Lewiston, NY.Memorials may be made to Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center, PO Box 631, Buffalo, NY 14263, www.roswellpark.org/giving.
