    She retired in 1945 after
    being employed at Harrison
    Radiator Division, General
    Motors Corp. She was born
    May 21, 1888, at Orangeport,
    daughter of Charles and Ber-
    tha Berndt Hofert. She had
    lived in Lockport for 46 years.
    In addition to her husband,
    she is survived by a daughter
    Mrs. Edward Noon; a sister,
    Mrs. Laura Chase; a brother,
    Walter Hofert, all of Lockport,
    a grandson and two
    great-grandchildren.

    She was the widow of Glenn
    W. Chase, who died in 1945. He
    was the founder of the Service
    Window Cleaning Co., and
    since his death she has been a
    partner in the firm.
    Born Dec. 28, 1890 in t he
    Town of Hartland, she was the
    daughter of Charles and Bertha
    Berndt Hofert, and had lived in
    Lockport most of her life.
    She was a member of Companions
    of Foresters L o d g e,
    Women's Benefit Association
    and the Senior Citizens.
    She is survived by a daughter.
    Mrs. Charles O. Tall; two
    grandchildren, Charles D. Tall
    and Mrs. Laura Natter, of Lockport
    and seven great - grandchildren.

    Betty Irene Farina passed away February 9, 2016 in Niagara Hospice. Born in January 24, 1928 in Warsaw she was the daughter of Walter and Edna (Brooks) Hofert. Betty worked for Harrison radiator in production for 27 ½ years retiring in 1990. She enjoyed knitting and crocheting. Betty was predeceased by her husband Dominick Farina on May 29, 2015.


    Betty is survived her children Kenneth (Sharon) Bowerman of Middleport, Daniel (Sharon) Bowerman of Barker, Marie (Donald) Walters of Gasport, Mark Farina and Dominick (Pamela) Farina both of Lockport. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren; sister of Donald (Norma) Hofert of Lockport, Ruth Lewis of Albion and predeceased by several brothers and sisters; also survived by several nieces and nephews.

    Obituary of Donald C. Hofert

    Donald C. Hofert passed away October 24, 2021 under the care of Niagara Hospice.  Born May 23, 1933 in Geneva, NY he was the son of Walter and Edna (Brooks) Hofert.  Donald served in the US Army from 1953-1955 during Korea.  He was also a Coast Guard Licensed Captain as well and was also aa private pilot owning his own plane.  Donald worked for the City of Lockport where he was a fireman from 1957-1995.  He will be remembered as a beloved family man.
    Donald is survived by his wife of 68 years, Norma (Cleveland) Hofert, whom he married August 22, 1953; sons Duane (Pat Crawshaw) Hofert and Douglas (Donna Baron) Hofert; grandchildren Elisha Hofert, Shawna (Greg) Bancroft, and Derrick (Samantha) Hofert; six great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, and several nieces and nephews.
    Relatives and friends are invited to a memorial service Friday, October 29th at 7 PM in Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport.  A graveside service will be held Saturday, October 30th at 11 AM in Hartland Central Cemetery.  Visit pruddenandkandt.com.
