    Mrs. Ethel Warner, 67, died of. a
    heart attack Monday at her home
    in this village.
    Born October 25, 1885, at Oak
    Field,she was the daughter of the
    late John and Sarah Hexton. She
    was past noble grand of Sanborn Rebekah

    lodge and a member of Sanborn
    Methodist church.
    Surviving are two sons, Wesley
    and Robert, Sanborn; two daughters,
    Mrs. James Thompson, Lockport,
    and Mrs. Wilson Townsend, Sanborn;
    two sisters and three brothers

    Services will be held tomorrow at
    2:30 pjn. at the Pike Funeral home
    with burial in Mt View cemetery,
    Pekin.

    SANBORN — Robert E. Warner, of Sanborn, NY, passed away on Tuesday, August 21, 2012, in Mt. St. Mary's Hospital, Lewiston, NY. He was born in the Town of Cambria, on October 21, 1916, the son of the late Robert and Ethel (Haxton) Warner.

    Mr. Warner was employed with the I.E. du Pont Company for over 20 years, before retiring in 1973. He was a member of the Sanborn Fire Co. Band and enjoyed playing golf, gardening around his home and was an avid sportsman.

    Mr. Warner is survived by his daughter, Carol (late Raymond) Osswald; three grandchildren, Dianne (Steve) Flay, James (Debbi) Oswald and Donna Oswald. He is also survived by Raymond's wife, Joyce Wienke; six great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. He was the grandfather of the late Raymond Oswald; brother of the late Wesley "Kelly" Warner, Maria Townsend and Dorothy Thompson.

    Private funeral services will be held at the wishes of his family. Interment in Mt. View Cemetery, Town of Cambria, NY.

    SANBORN — Wesley "Kelly" Warner, 90, of Sanborn, NY, died Thursday, July 1, 2010, in the Niagara Hospice House, in Lockport, NY, following a brief illness. He was born in Buffalo, NY, on September 21, 1919, the son of the late Robert and Ethel (Haston) Warner, a life long resident of Sanborn, NY, where he attended local schools and the Bryant & Stratton School, in Buffalo, NY. He served in the U.S. Army as a M/Sgt. during WW II. Kelly was employed as a mail carrier at US Post Office in Sanborn, NY, for over 20 years prior to retiring in 1979. He was a member of American Legion Post # 969, Sanborn, NY, for over 50 years. He enjoyed golfing, hunting and fishing. He is survived by a sister, Marie Townsend; and a brother, Robert Warner, both of Sanborn; also survived by also survived by several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Dorothy Thompson. The family will be present on Friday from 6-8 PM, at the RHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 5893 Hoover Road, Sanborn, NY, where funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Saturday. Interment will be private at convenience of the family in Mount View Cemetery Town of Cambria, NY.     SANBORN — Marie E. Townsend, a lifelong resident of Sanborn, NY, passed away on Friday, December 30, 2011, at her home under the care of her family and Niagara Hospice. She was born in Sanborn, on September 12, 1922, the daughter of the late Robert and Ethel (Haxton) Warner.

    Mrs. Townsend served with the Red Cross during World War II. She was employed with Harrison Radiator in Lockport for 25 years, before retiring in 1973. Mrs. Townsend was a member of the former Sanborn United Methodist Church, the Rebekah Lodge, the Sanborn Friendship Club and the Sanborn Historical Society. She enjoyed wood carving, baking, sewing and knitting.

    Mrs. Townsend was the wife of the late Wilson R. Townsend, who died in November of 1986. She is survived by two sons, Gary W. (Chris) Townsend of Sanborn and Gerald D. (Cindy) Townsend of Youngstown, NY; one daughter, Gail M. (Charles) Flay of Vernon, NY; one brother, Robert Warner of Sanborn; also ten grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Townsend was the sister of the late Wesley Warner and Dorothy Thompson.

    The family will be present on Monday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the RHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 5893 Hoover Road, SANBORN, NY, where funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 AM, with the Rev. John Timmerman officiating. Memorials may be made in her name to the Sanborn Historical Society or to Niagara Hospice. Interment at Mount View Cemetery, Town of Cambria, NY.

    Gail M. Flay, of Sanborn, NY, peacefully went to the Lord after a long illness on Saturday, September 5, 2015, under the comfort of her husband and son by her side, in Bertrand Chaffee Hospital, Springville, NY,
    She was born June 15, 1940, in Niagara Falls, New York, daughter of the late Wilson "Bud" and Marie E. [Warner] Townsend.

    She was a 1958 graduate of Wilson High School and Trott Vocational Nursing School.
    Gail was a private woman who devoted her entire life to the care of others. She was a Licensed Practical Nurse with a career spanning over two decades serving hospitals in Ransomville, Niagara Falls, and Oneida and was active in private duty and on call nursing services as well. She retired in 1985 to care for her young son.
    She tirelessly served the Lord her entire life, being active in churches in western New York, Redeemer Lutheran, Oneida, NY, and its successor, Grace Lutheran, Canastota, NY, where she also taught Sunday School.
    She enjoyed numerous hobbies to include reading and cooking being at her families cabin in the Adirondacks, but most importantly, cherished her time spent with her family and friends.

    She is survived by her husband of 53 years Charles J. Flay, Sr., they were united in marriage on June 2, 1962 in Cambria, NY, three sons, Charles J. (Cris) Flay, Jr. of Ronda, NC, John C. (Kathy) Flay of Dallas, TX and Jason C. Flay of Lexington, KY. three grandsons, Charles J. "Buddy" Flay, III, Daniel C. Flay, and "Beau" Hunter Flay, two brothers, Gary (Chris) Townsend and Gerald (Cynthia) Townsend, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and grandnieces and grandnephews.

    Her family will be present on Wednesday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the RHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 5893 Hoover Road, SANBORN, NY. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday at 11:00 AM at Holy Ghost Lutheran Church, 6630 Luther Street, Niagara Falls, NY, with Rev. Philip N. Sallach officiating.

    The entire Flay family would like to extend a special thank you to the dedicated doctors, nurses, and staff of Bertrand Chaffee Hospital for the exceptional final care rendered towards mom.
