    LEWISTON - Evelyn (nee Powell) Neubauer, 88, of Lewiston, NY, went to her eternal home on Sunday, October 31, 2010 at her residence, while under the care of Niagara Hospice, surrounded by her loving family and friends. Born on December 17, 1921 in Summerville, PA, she was the daughter of the late David and Mabel (Crawford) Powell.

    Mrs. Neubauer attended schools in Pennsylvania and came to Niagara Falls, NY during World War II. On September 28, 1946 Evelyn married Richard G. Neubauer in Holy Trinity Lutheran Church. He predeceased her on November 26, 2003. She worked for the former Spirella Company and later was a Manager for Jo-Ann Fabrics in Lewiston. Mrs. Neubauer was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church in the Town of Niagara, NY as well as the former Home Extension Club. Evelyn enjoyed singing in the church choir, playing piano and sewing.

    Mrs. Neubauer is survived by one daughter, Roberta "Robin" Neubauer of Lewiston, NY; one sister, Jean (Clair) Miller of Florida; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

    The family will be present to receive friends on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM in the Chapel of the OTTO REDANZ FUNERAL HOME, 2215 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY (297-9007). Family and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Service on Friday, November 5th at 10:00 AM in Our Savior Lutheran Church, 2759 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY, with Rev. Glenn Richardson officiating. EVERYONE PLEASE ASSEMBLE AT CHURCH. Interment will follow in Niagara Falls, Memorial Park Cemetery, Lewiston, NY. If desired memorial offerings may be made to Our Savior Lutheran Church, 2759 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY 14304, Niagara Hospice, 4675 Sunset Drive, Lockport, NY 14094 or to Upper Mountain Fire Company, 839 Moyer Road, Lewiston, NY 14092.
