  1. 1.  Lena was born on 23 Apr 1852 in Lockport, Niagara County, NY; died on 23 Jan 1922 in Niagara Falls, Niagara County, NY.

    Mrs. Lena Long, 69 years old, of No.
    1636 Eighth street, died suddenly yesterday
    afternoon about 5.30 o'clock at
    the family residence. Mrs. Long suffered.
    an attack of heart trouble about
    two weeks ago but recovered and ap-
    parently was getting along well. Yes-
    terday afternoon she was sitting in
    the living room conversing with sev-
    eral members of the family when she
    suddenly sank in her chair and the
    end came within a very few minutes,
    She was born in the city of Lock-
    port on April 23. 1852. Thirty years
    ago when her husband. John Long,
    entered the United States custom service,
    the family, moved to this city
    and have resided here ever since. Besides
    her husband Mrs. Long is survived
    by three sons. Benjamin, Frank
    J. and Harry C, all of this city, and
    one daughter, Mrs. Charles A. Weber,
    also of Niagara Falls, one sister. Mis.
    Elizabeth McCormlck, of Lockport.
    and two brothers. Frank C. Carr, Of .
    lockport, and Michael Carr of Buf-
    falo. There are also three grand- 12
    children. Bernice and Marion Weber,
    and Betty Long.
    The funeral services will be held
    Thursday morning at 8.30 o'clock from
    the family home, and at 9 o'clock from
    the Sacred Heart church. The Rev.
    James J. Roche will officiate. The
    body will be placed temporarily in the
    mausoleum at Oakwood cemetery.
    Burial will be at the convenience of
    the family.

    A resident of Niagara Falls for
    more than 50 years and an employe
    of the Niagara Falls Power company
    for 37 years, Francis J. Long, 1938
    Eighth street, died suddenly of a
    heart attack this morning at 10
    o'clock while at work In the Power
    company's Schoellkopf station where
    he was a supervisor.
    Born In Lockport. a son of the
    late Mr. and Mrs. John Long, Mr.
    Long came to this city with his
    parents when a child. He was 58
    years old. In his youth and early
    manhood he was prominent in athletics
    In this city and throughout
    the Niagara Frontier. He was a
    member of the old Stars and Stripes
    Athletic club and played outfield
    with the club's baseball team and
    was also active in Its football team
    and track team. He was a member
    of the old 43d Seperate aompany.
    Mr. Long was a member of Niagara
    Falls Lodge, NO. 342. B. P. O.
    Elks. During his long residence in
    this city he had teen active In
    many civic and athletic enterprises.
    He had been In failing health for
    some time past. Surviving Mr. Long
    axeThis wife, Mrs. Frances Long, a
    daughter. Mrs. Robert Patten, and
    a granddaughter, Miss Barbara
    Patten, all of this, city: a sister.
    Mrs. Charles Weber, also of Niagara
    Falls, and a brother, Harry O. Long,
    of. Lewlston, N. Y. He was a brother
    of the late Ben Long, for many
    years a leader in athletic events
    in this city. Funeral arrangements
    were being completed this afternoon.
