    Janice Ruth Dick
    June 7, 2023

Janice Ruth Dick, 67, of Jacksonville FL, passed away on June 7, 2023.
Janice was born in 1956 in Niagara Falls, NY. She was the first of 3 children. Her brother, Paul was the middle child and Raymond was the youngest of the three. Janice and the family lived there until 1968 when the family moved to Long Island, NY. Here Janice went to junior high and high school graduating in 1974.
Later, in 1980, the family moved to Jacksonville, Florida, always living in the Mandarina area. Janice became a Registered Nurse and began what was to become approximately 30 years of nursing in both area hospitals and nursing homes.
Janice liked the beach, going to the beach, riding her beach cruiser and only occasionally getting stuck in the sand. She also liked gardening and really kept up her lawn, shrubs and flowers. She was a big pet lover and almost always had a rescue dog and cat or two in her home. Later she would "adopt" 2 rabbits also. She also really liked decorating her home for whatever holiday was approaching but Halloween and Christmas were her favorites.
Over the year, Janice traveled to Hawaii, the US Virgin Islands, Europe and Canada.
Janice was not married and did not have any children. Her father and mother (Pops and Mops) predeceased her having both passed away in the late 90's and her youngest brother, Raymond. The family would like to especially thank Janice's good friend Maretha who has been a close friend for years and who has been so helpful to Paul since before Janice passed away.
A graveside committal service and interment will be held on Saturday, June 24 at 11 AM in Oakland Rural Cemetery, 1121-1131 Lake Road, Youngstown, NY 14174. In lieu of flowers, the family request that you consider a donation to The Jacksonville Humane Society.  Visit mjcoluccifuneralchapel.com for online condolences.
