LOCKPORT — Alice J. Bedford passed away November 26, 2010 in Niagara Hospice, after a battle with Alzheimer's. Daughter of the late John and Estelle (Maynard) Wittcop.

Alice was the loving wife of James E. Bedford of Lockport and is also survived by a daughter, Darcy Berasi of Arizona and a son, David and Jackie Starcher of Lockport; and a brother, Lewis (Jean) Wittcop of Gasport. She has 10 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. Alice was also predeceased by her siblings, Kathryn, Agnes, Allen, Pearl, Wilfred, Mary, Elton and several nieces and nephews.

There is no prior visitation. A memorial service will be held at Hartland United Methodist Church, 8017 Ridge Road, Gasport, NY on December 4, 2010 at 2 PM. Donations can be made to Niagara Hospice, 4675 Sunset Drive, Lockport, NY 14094.
