    Samuel Whitbeck, 76 years old, for
    many years a resident of this city,
    died suddenly of a heart attack
    yesterday at the Moore farm, town
    of Lewiston, where he had been
    making his home for the last six
    years. Mr. Whitbeck was found in
    the Moore yard and was pronounced
    dead upon the arrival of a physi-
    cian.
    Mr. Whitbeck was a papermaker
    by trade and in former years was
    employed in the paper-making trade
    in this city. After his retirement
    he went to make his home in Lew-
    iston.
    He is survived by one son, Ralph
    whitbeck, of this city, and six
    grandchildren. Funeral services will
    be held from the Hardison and
    Beatty funeral home, 1136 Main
    street, at Chilton avenue, Thursday
    morning at 8:30 o'clock, and at 9
    o'clock from St. Mary's church. In-
    terment will be in Riverdale ceme-
    tery.

    LEWISTON, Nov, 28.-Earl J. Whitbeck,
    36 years old, died last night at
    his home here, after an illness of two
    weeks with pneumonia. He was born
    in Niagara Falls on June 22, 1897.
    He Is survived by his parents, Mr.
    and Mrs. Samuel Whitbeck, of Niagara
    Falls; his wife, Mrs. Esther
    Scherber Whitbeck, of Lewiston; two
    children, Robert and Richard Whitbeck,
    twin sons, both At home; one
    brother, Ralph Whitbeck, of Niagara
    Falls.
    Mr. Whitbeck was employed by the
    New York Central railroad as an engineer
    for the past 18 years. He was
    a member of tho Brotherhood of Locomotive
    Englnemen and Firemen, the
    New York Central Mutual Benefit association
    and the New York Central
    Veterans association. He had resided
    in Lewiston for the past six years.
    Funeral services will be held Friday
    morning from the home at 8:30 o'clock
    and at 9 from St. Peter's church here.
    Interment will be In Rlverdale cemetery,
    Niagara Falls.

    survived by 10 grandchildren. Friends
    may call at the Rhoney Funeral
    Home. 1124 Ontario Avenue until
    11 a-m. Thursday at which time
    the remains will be taken to the
    Zlon Lutheran Church. Michigan and
    10th Sts. where funeral services will
    be held at 2 P.m. with the Rev.
    Arthur H. Schmoyer D.D. officiating.
    Interment will be in Riverdale
    Cemetery.
