    Edwin G. Winker, 53, of 2215
    21st St., employe of the J. P. Pike
    Construction Co., died yesterday
    suddenly at his home of a heart
    attack.
    A lifelong resident of this city,
    Mr. winker was a veteran carpen-
    ter and had worked for several
    construction firms. He was a mem-
    ber of Local No. 322, Carpenters,
    AFL.
    Ssurvivors include his wife, Mrs.
    Esther Winker; a son, James Wink-
    er; a daughter, Mrs. Marilyn J.
    Fitzsimmons; two sisters, mrs.
    John Holder and Mrs. John Rainer,
    and two brothers, Joseph K. Wink-
    er and Harold W. Winker, all of
    this city. Four grandchildren also
    survive.
    Funeral services will be held
    Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Grid-
    ley Funeral Home with the Rev.
    Richard J. Davey, pastor of St.
    Paul's Mathodist Church, officiat-
    ing. Burial will be in Oakwood
    Cemetery.

    LOCKPORT — Lynn Fitzsimmons, of Niagara Falls, died on Wednesday, July 20, 2011, in Niagara Hospice House, following a lengthy illness. She was 61.

    Born in Niagara Falls, NY on June 25, 1950, a daughter of Marilyn J. (Winker) Fitzsimmons of Niagara Falls and the late Donald L. Fitzsimmons. Ms. Fitzsimmons graduated from the former LaSalle Senior High School, Class of 1968. She worked for Chemical Waste Management as a dispatcher.

    An avid and dedicated Buffalo Sabres fan, she and her sister regularly attended the home games. She was very optimistic that this season they would bring home the cup. Lynn also loved the music of the 1960’s-1970’s, especially the Moody Blues and Three Dog Night. Lynn was a devoted caregiver to her mother and loved her cats, Bruin and Spooky.

    In addition to her mother, she is survived by her sister, Donna Crawley (late George) of Niagara Falls; dearest friend, Sue O’Mara of Niagara Falls and her dear aunt, Lois Rainer Weinberg of Houston, TX. She is also survived by many cousins. She was predeceased by her twin brother at birth, Christopher.

    Friends may call Friday from 4-8 PM in the LANE FUNERAL HOME, INC., 8622 Buffalo Avenue, Niagara Falls, where funeral services will be held Saturday at 10 AM. The interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Lewiston, NY. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Niagara Hospice House, 4675 Sunset Drive, Lockport, NY 14094.
