    Rose M. Simone, 71, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 7th, 2019 at Niagara Hospice House. Born in Niagara Falls, she was the daughter of the late Ivan and Geraldine (Black) Burton; and loving wife of the late Joseph F. Simone, whom she spent over 23 loving years with.
    Rose loved working at Bonton in the Summit Park Mall and Liz Claiborne in the Niagara Falls Outlet for many years. She was very personable and made everyone feel as if they were part of her family. She was also a lover of animals, as well as the outdoors and nature.
    Mrs. Simone enjoyed baking and tending to her garden. Above all, Rose’s life was centered around her family, especially her grandchildren who have fond memories of arts and crafts, and ice cream at her home.
    Rose is survived by her children, Kari (Mark) Schmitt and Kathy Cafarella (Don Schultz); her step-children, Joseph F. (Lynn Metzger-Simone) Simone, II,  and Sandra L. (Kevin) Ireland; seven grandchildren, Alex and Elliana Schmitt, Chelsea Goodwill, Tori Cafarella, Bailey Simone, and Nathaniel, Simone, and Sheyna Ireland; two siblings, Sharon (Vince) Simone and James Burton; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by an infant brother, Richard and her beloved cat, Chloe.
    Visitation will be on Friday, May 10th from 1 -3 & 6 – 8 P.M. at M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY, where funeral services will begin on Saturday at 11:00 A.M. Interment in St. Joseph Cemetery.
