79 years; Widow of the late Herman Winter and mother of Edward. Alfred.
W.. Mrs. Esther Mathews, all of

of Buffalo. Also survlved by seven grandchildren.
Funeral will be held Thursday,

Michigan Avenue, Dr. Arthur H. Sch-
moyer officiating. Riverside Rebecca
Lodge No. 125 will conduct services at
the grave in Oakwood cemetery.

P.m. from the Otto Redanz Funeral
Home, Michigan and 10th. The Rev.

A retired police patrolman
here, Edward Winter, 69,
Church St., Youngstown, died
Tuesday (Dec. 13, 1960) in
Roswell Park Memorial Institute,
Buffalo, after a two month
illness.
Mr. Winter was born in
Niagara Falls. He joined the
police force Nov. 5, 1926 and
retired April 28, 1952.
He was a past president of
the Niagara Falls Kennel Club
and a member of the Niagara
Falls Police Club Inc.
Surviving are his wife, Alice
Winter, who has been confined
in Mt. St. Mary's Hospital
since Nov. 28; a brother,. Alfred
Winter, of the city fire
department; and a sister, Mrs.
Esther Mathews this city.-
The Rev. John E. Wickenden,
Episcopal Church, of the
Epiphany, will officiate at the
service at 1, p.m. Saturday
at the Otto Redanz Funeral
Home. Burial will be in Riverdale
Cemetery.

Miss Elizabeth Winter, 46 years
old, of 56 Elmwood avenue, Buffalo,
died in Mount St. Mary's hospital
here at 12:25 o'clock this morning
after a long illness. The funeral will
be held from the home of her
mother, Mrs. Anna Winter, 1311
Willow avenue, at 2:30 p.m., Saturday,
with burial to the family plot
In Oakwood cemetery.
Miss Winter was born in Niagara
Falls and spent most of her life
to this city. Besides her mother,
she to survived by three brothers,
Patrolman Edward Winter, of the
city police department, and Engineer
Alfred Winter and Captain Arthur
Winter, of the fire department;
a sister, Mrs. Esther Matthews, wife
of Patrolman Martin Matthews;
three nieces, the Misses Marlon,
Elizabeth and Eileen Matthews, and
two nephews, Martin Matthews, Jr.,
and Richard Winter.

Funeral services for Mrs. Florence
Winter Keenan, wife of Richard
Keenan and widely known former Niagara
Falls young woman who died in
Scranton, Pa., on Tuesday, were held
Saturday afternoon at the home of
her mother, Mrs. Anna Winter, 1311
Willow avenue, with many friends
and relatives in attendance. The
services were conducted by the Rev.
Dr. Charles Noyee Tyndell. rector of
St, Peter's Episcopal church. Many
beautiful floral tributes were received
at the home. Interment was
made in Oakwood cemetery.
The pell bearers were John Quimby,
John Powers, Walter Keenan,
Charles Chappie, Timothy Toohey and
Louis Boeldt.
