    Dr. Frank E. Woodley, 421 Walnut
    avenue, prominent Niagara
    Falls dentist and a former sports
    leader here who practiced his profession
    in this city for more than
    40 years, died last night at Mt.
    St. Mary's hospital after a prolonged
    illness.
    One of the most widely known
    dental surgeons ° in this area. Dr.
    Woodley was past president of the
    Niagara Falls Dental association
    and at one time headed the Eighth
    Judicial District Dental society.
    A star football player in his college
    days, Dr. Woodley continued
    his Interest in the game after
    coming here and was Instrumental
    in popularizing the game . locally.
    He aided in the, organization of the
    first regular football team at Niagara
    university and served as its
    first coach. He also coached one
    of the early Niagara Falls high
    school teams.
    Dr. Woodley was active in Masonic
    circles and was a member
    of Niagara River Lodge, F and AM
    and a Shriner. He was a member
    of the Niagara Falls Country club
    and the Niagara club.
    Born , in Hughesville, Pa., Dr.
    Woodley was educated at Susquehanna
    college and the University
    of Pennsylvania Dental school,
    coming to Niagara Falls in 1901 to
    begin the practice of his profession.
    At both Institutions Dr. Woodley
    was a star performer on the foot*
    ball field in many Ivy league games.
    He is survived by his wife, Mrs.
    Harriet Maddever Woodley, and one
    son, Frank E. Woodley, Jr.
    Funeral services wfll be held Monday
    at 2 p. m. at the Woodley home
    with the Rev. Blake B. Hammond,
    rector of St. Peter's Episcopal
    church, officiating. Interment will
    be In Rlverdale cemetery.

    William R. Woodley, 56, of Youngstown, NY, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, July 9, 2019 at Mt. St. Mary’s Hospital in Lewiston, NY. Born in Niagara Falls, NY, he was the son of the late Frank and Arline (Froats) Woodley.
    Bill was a graduate of Trott Vocational High School. He had a strong work ethic and was a great support to his friends and family. He began working at the age of 14 delivering newspapers to numerous homes, as well as mowing lawns. He currently was employed as an electrician for over 30 years at the Niagara Falls Board of Education, and also owned and operated Expert Lawn Care, Inc.
    Bill enjoyed vacationing in Florida and spending time with his family. He also looked forward to his annual fishing trip with his friends and jet skiing in Georgian Bay, Canada with his kids. He was an avid sports fan, especially of the Chicago Blackhawks, but above all, he adored being with his first granddaughter Amaya Mae Benton and his dog Bentley.
    Mr. Woodley is survived by his wife, Sharon (Scrinzi) Woodley, who he married May 5, 1990; his beloved children, Alyssa (Drew) Benton, William R. Woodley II and Kali Woodley; his granddaughter, Amaya Mae Benton; his siblings, Jane (Chuck) Pickens, Judith Auzina, Frank (Cris) Woodley, George (Judy) Woodley, David (Helen) Woodley, Linda Woodley and John Woodley, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
    Visitation will be on Friday, July 12th from 3 – 8 P.M. at M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY, where funeral services will begin on Saturday at 11 A.M. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
