NORTH TONAWANDA, Jan. 13-
Mrs. Johanna Sahr, 84, died suddenly
at her home, 1852 Sweeney street,
Saturday night Wife of the late
William Sahr, she is survived by
five daughters, Mrs. Helena Kumro
and Mrs. Arthur Knack, of Tonawanda,
Miss Esther Sahr and Mrs.
Mildred Toellner, of this city, and
Mrs. Pauline Paul, of Silver Creek;
two sons, Robert and Edward, of this
city; eight grandchildren and five
great grandchildren.
Rites will be held Wednesday at
2 p. m. at the home and at 2:30
at St. Paul's church. The Rev. F. A.
Hlrmers will officiate. Interment
will be in St Paul's cemetery.

Johanna married SAHR, Wilhelm Friedrich on 22 Apr 1884 in Niagara County, NY. Wilhelm (son of SAHR, Karl Friedrich and WURL, Friedericke) was born on 5 Mar 1841 in Ognica, Zachodniopomorskie, Poland; died on 28 Feb 1918 in North Tonawanda, Niagara County, NY. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

KUMRO-Mrs. Helena M. Kum
ro, 69, of 185 William St.. died today,
Dec. 14, 1954, in DeGraff Memorial
Hospital after an illness of
three years. Born in Martinsville.
Mrs. Kumro was a lifelong resi-
dent of the Tonawandas. She is
survived by a daughter, Mrs. Paul
Wolfgruber, of Arkporrt, N.Y.; by
three step-children, Mrs. Charles
Fowler, of Grand Rapids, Mich.,
Daniel Kumro, of Ft. Erie,
Ont.; by four sisters, Mrs. Arthur
Knack, of Tonawanda; Miss Esther
Sahr and Mrs. Mildred Toellner, of
North Tonawanda, and Mrs. Paul
ine Paul, of Silver Creek, and by a
brother, Edward Sahr, of North
Tonawanda. Two grandchildren
also survive. Mrs. Kumro was a
member of Immanuel Lutheran
Church. Friends may call at the
John O. Roth Funeral Home, 60
Morgan St., where services will be
at 2 p.m. Thursday with the Rev
Theodore Schroeder officiating
Burial will be in Elmlawn Cemetery.

Robert Sahr, 62, of 109 Niagara
St., Lockport, a former resident of
North Tonawanda, died yesterday
afternoon in the Lockport City
Hospital after a lingering Plness.
He was born in North Tonawanda
and lived here until going to
Lockport five years ago to live.
He was a member of the St. Paul's
Lutheran Church, Martinsville. He
is survived by five sisters, Mrs.
Helen Kumro and Mrs. Arthur
Knack of Tonawanda, Miss Esther
Sahr and Mrs. Mildred Toellner of
North Tonawanda and Mrs. Pauline
Paul of Silver Creek, N. Y.,
and a brother, Edward Sahr of
North Tonawanda. Rites will be
held Sunday at 2 p. m. in the
home of Mrs. Toellner, 1852
Sweeney St. The Rev. F. A. Hinners
will officiate. Burial will be
in St. Paul's Cemetery.

Miss Lillian E. Sahr. twentynine
years old. died last night at the home
of her mother. Mrs Johanna Sahr of
the Tonawanda creek road. Martins
ville, after an illness of three weeks
Besides here mother, three brothers
Frank. Edward and Man in Sahr of
Martinsville. and five sisters. Mrs.
Christian Kumro of Tonawanda and
the Misses Esther. Rose, Pauline and
Mildred Sahr of Martinsville survive.
The funeral will be held Thursday
afternoon at 2 o'clock at the late home
and half an hour later at St. Paul's
church. Martinsville. Rev. Jacobs of
ficiating. Burial will be in St. Pau'ls
cemetery.

Tonawanda, Sunday (February 10
1985) at Niagara Lutheran Home
Buffalo. A native of North Tona-
wanda, she was a member of St.
Paul Lutheran Church.
She is survived by her sister, Mrs
Pauline Paul of Dunkirk, NY., and
several nieces, nephews ar
great-nieces and nephews.
Friends may call Tuesday evening
only from 7 to 8:30 at John O.Roth
Funeral Home, Inc., Morgan and
William Sts., Tonawanda. Funeral
services will be conducted Tuesday
evening at 8:45 p.m. by the Rev
Richard E. Pape. Burial will be in
St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery. Me
morial contributions to St. Paul's
Lutheran Church, 453 Old Falls
Blvd., North Tonawanda would be
preferred by the family.

KNACK - Rose P. Knack, 64. of
15 Steiner Ave . Tonawanda, died
Wednesday (Dec. 14, 1960) in De
Graff Memorial Hospital after
several months* illness. A native
of North Tonawanda. she had been
a resident of the Tonawandas all
her life. Mrs. Knack was a mem-
ber of I m m a n u e l Lutheran
Church. Survivors include her
husband, Arthur H. Knack; a
daughter, Mrs. Carlton Bjerke of
Tonawanda; three sisters. Miss
Esther Sahr and Mrs. Mildred
Toellner. both of North Tonawan-
