    ELINOR MAE SIEGMANN, age 90 of Wheatfield, NY, was called peacefully to her heavenly home on September 9, 2018, while at the DeGraff Skilled Nursing Facility. Born on September 17, 1927 in Pennsylvania, and came to Western NY in 1945. She was the daughter of the late Raymond and Gladys (Jackson) Severance. She was united in marriage to Melvin E. Siegmann on August 12, 1950, and he entered into rest on March 20, 2002. Elinor was a long time member of St. John Lutheran Church, in Wheatfield, was employed as a nurse's aid at DeGraff Memorial Hospital, and enjoyed reading a variety of books. 
    Survivors include six children, Karen Chaffee, Gayle (John) Carmody, Laurie (Dennis) Schmidt, Eric (Lori) Siegmann, Andrew Siegmann, and Ross (Lisa) Siegmann; 13 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
    She was predeceased by four brothers, Howard, Gerald, Jay, and Frank Severance; and four sisters, Geraldine Zubrikis, Loretta Siegman, Betty Martin, and Darla Herstek.
    Friends may call at the DuBois Funeral Home, 2436 Niagara Road, (Bergholz) in Wheatfield, on Friday (September 14) from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Services will be conducted by the Rev. Michael Borgstede, on Saturday (September 15) at 10:00 a.m. in St. John Lutheran Church, corner Niagara Falls Blvd. and Ward Road. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Niagara Hospice.

    NORTH TONAWANDA — Loretta J. Siegman (Severance), age 83, of Wheatfield, was called to her heavenly home on January 14, 2014, while at the Northgate Health Care Facility, under the care of Niagara Hospice. Born on February 23, 1930 in Wilcox, PA, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Gladys (Jackson) Severance. Loretta was a long-time member of St. John Ev. Lutheran Church in Wheatfield, and a member of the St. Johnsburg Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary. She was a devoted mother and enjoyed spending quality time with her family. Loretta was predeceased by her husband, Howard Siegman on May 2, 1995; and a son, Jeffrey Siegman on December 6, 2005.

    Survivors include two children, Kathleen Greenland and Jay (Kim) Siegman, both of Wheatfield; four grandchildren, Laura, Sarah, Joseph and Nickolas; one great-grandson, Gavin; a sister, Eleanor Siegmann; and several nieces and nephews. Also predeceased by seven brothers and sisters, Geraldine Severance, Betty Martin, Darla Herstek, Howard, Gerald, Jay and Franklin Severance.

    Friends may call at the DUBOIS FUNERAL HOME (731-3234), 2436 Niagara Road, (Bergholz) in Wheatfield on Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM. Services will be conducted by the Rev. Karl Koch on Saturday at 11:00 AM in St. John Ev. Lutheran Church, corner Niagara Falls Blvd. and Ward Road. Interment will follow in St. John Lutheran Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. John Lutheran Cemetery Fund or Niagara Hospice.

    Russell A. Severance, age 68, of Batavia, died peacefully Dec. 3, 2019, at Crossroads House. He was born in North Tonawanda on August 6, 1951, to the late Gerald and Mary (Devlin) Severance. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Jean Severance. Russ served his country honorably with the US Navy and was retired from Harrison-Radiator in Lockport. His time and love was for family, especially his grandchildren. Surviving is his wife of 15 years, Barbara (Kingdon) Severance of Batavia; his loving daughters, BethAnne (Joseph) Nicholas of Le Roy and their children, Emily and SophieAnne; Mary Margaret Gugino and her children, Cameron, Tyler, Ryleigh and Aniston; sister, Dale (Edward) Moll of Wheatfield; dear friend, Laura Dutton-Pontillo of Byron, along with several nieces and nephews. The Severance family will be present from 3-8 p.m. on Monday, December 9th, at the Michael S. Tomaszewski Funeral and Cremation Chapel, LLC, 4120 West Main Street Road Batavia, New York 14020, where a Remembrance Service will begin at 7:30 p.m. Russ will be laid to rest in White Chapel Memorial Cemetery in Amherst with his parents. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Crossroads House PO Box 403, Batavia New York 14021.

She attended and Graduated from Niagara Wheatfield Senior High School. She obtained an associate degree in court reporting from Stenographic Institute of Western NY. Dale worked for Sherwood Harsco on Liberty Drive in Niagara Falls for 30 years and was the UAW 686 union President. Dale also worked at United Health Care until her retirement in 2016. Dale was an avid book reader and loved her Danielle Steele novels, She loved to do flower gardening in the spring, Always teaching her children the art of how to make flowers look amazing. She also loved to draw and paint, She always set aside time be the cool Grandma and play online Xbox and put together Lego’s with her grandchildren. You could usually always find her at a sporting event of her children during their high school years and as well as her grandchildren weather that be at a soccer game, a football game, swimming meet, cross country run, track meet, Dance or Band meet. Dale was also always into a DIY project of some sort weather it be a new deck or some interior remodeling project. Dale was married to H. Edward Moll in 2007, who passed away in 2020. Dale was a loving mother of three children, Jennifer L. Stoddard (Severance), William G. Severance, And Amanda L Clayson (Severance), Along with seven Grandchildren, Reilly J Coleman, Kyle E Stoddard, Xavier G. Severance, Zachary M Stoddard, Morgan E Clayson, Lucas L Clayson, and Ariella R Severance. Dale is survived by many loving cousins who were like brothers and sisters to her. Friends may call at the DuBois Funeral Home, 2436 Niagara Road, (Bergholz) in Wheatfield, on Sunday (December 11) from 1-3 p.m., with services immediately following at 3:00 p.m. In Lieu of flowers the family asks that all donations be made to SERV Niagara which is a foundation that Dale had raised money for in the past.

Jay was employed at Snyder Industries, as a machinist for 33 years, until his massive stroke in 2019. A life long member of St. John Lutheran Church, in Wheatfield, also a member of St. Johnsburg Volunteer Fire Company for 39 years, the NYSVF Judging Association- Western Division, and enjoyed deer hunting.Survivors include his wife, Kimberly (Prantera) Siegman; two children, Nicholas Henneberger and Sarah Siegman; three fur children, Bear, Roxy, and Duke; a sister, Kathleen Greenland (Wally Rowell); uncle, Pete (Judy) Siegman; many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins, and in-laws. Jay was preceded in death by a brother, Jeffery Siegman.Friends may call at the DuBois Funeral Home, 2436 Niagara Road, (Bergholz) in Wheatfield, on Saturday (April 23) from noon until 4:00 p.m. Members of the St. Johnsburg Fire Company will conduct a memorial service at 3:30 p.m. Funeral service will take place following the visitation at 4:00 p.m., with the Rev. Michael Borgstede, officiating. A private interment, along with the family, will take place in St. John Lutheran Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. John Lutheran Church, or St. Johnsburg Fire Company.
