A period gown with train of clotted nenon fashioned with
fitted bodice and bishop sleeves over white taffeta was worn
by Miss Doris Loraine Brandt of Newfane for her marriage
Saturday to A. Buell Arnold of Troy in Newfane Methodist
Church. The Rev. Daniel A. Place officiated at the 2 o'clock
ceremony.
Baskets of white gladioli, fern and
a pair of seven branched candelabra
with white tapers decorated
the church. Cathedral candles were
placed on the communion table and
pews were marked with white gladioli
tied with white ribbon.
Miss Marguerite Crawford of
Croswell. Mich., college friend of
the bride, was organist, and Miss
Ruth Maskes of Buffalo, soloist.
VEIL OF ILLUSION
The bride, who is the daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. Edward H. Brandt
of 31 South Main St., Newfane, was
given in marriage by her father.
A tiny off-the-face hat which
matched the material of the gown
and a cathedral vei1 of illusion completed
her costume. She carried a
white leather bound New Testament
covered with a white orchid.
The couple was unattended. Carolyn
Arnold, niece of the groom,
was flower girl, wearing a floorlength
gown of white dotted swiss

breath tied with white ribbons.
Serving as ushers for the groom,
who is a son of Mrs. Henry C.
Arnold of East Bioomfield, were his
brothers, Horace C. Arnold and Wll

B. Bixler of Mlddleport, cousins
of the bride.
The mother of the bride was attired
In a gray sheer gown with
black accessories and a shoulder
corsage of pale pink roses. The
mother of the groom chose a pink
sheer gown with white accessories
and a shoulder corsage of pale yellow
roses.
HOTEL RECEPTION
A reception followed in Park Hotel.
Floral decorations were of
white gladioli, and the table was
catered with a three-tiered wedding
cake and candelabra with
white tapers.
For her traveling costume, the
bride chose a dusty pink suit with
hrt to match and white accessories.
They will make their home in
96 North Pine Ave., Albany.
The bride is a graduate of the
University of Michigan and holds
a Master's Degree from Columbia
University. She has been a member
of the faculty of Irondequolt
Hitfh School for the past four years.
The groom, a graduate of the
University of Rochester has a Masters
Degree from New York State
College for Teachers, Albany, and
Cllfperved
3 1-2 years with the U. S.
Navy. He is employed by the Veterans'
Administration Center. Albany.
Out-of-town guests were present
