Alan C. Greinert, 61, of Amherst, controller of Newtown Computer Printing of Buffalo for the last 30 years, died Sunday (Sept. 2, 2001) in Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital, Amherst, after becoming ill at home.
Greinert was born in Lockport and moved to Niagara Falls in the 1950s. He graduated from LaSalle High School. He later earned degrees from Kelley Business Institute and Niagara County Community College.
Greinert served in the Army Signal Corps from 1961 to 1963 and was stationed in East Africa.
He was a member of St. James Lutheran Church, Bergholz, and was devoted to his dogs, according to his family.
Survivors include his wife, the former Kathy D. Wade, and a brother, Roger J. of Grand Island.
Services will be held at 11 A.M. Thursday in St. James Lutheran Church, 2437 Niagara Road, Bergholz. Burial will be in St. James Lutheran Cemetery, Wheatfield
