GOWANDA - The United
Methodist Church here was
the setting for the marriage
of Miss Mary Ann Kniese and
Albert Edward Prudom Aug.
9, 1969.
The Rev. David E.' Jelliff
officiated at the noon double
ring ceremony uniting in
marriage the daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. John Kniese, Col-
lins, and the son of Mr. and
Mrs. Herbert "R. Prudom, 2570
Carmen Road, Middleport.
Given in marriage by her
father, the bride was attired
in a gown of peau de soie
and organza which she made,
A headpiece of organza petals
secured her veil and she car-
ried a bouquet of orchids, red
roses and ivy.
Miss Marcia Kniese, who
was maid of honor for her
sister, was attired in a yellow
gown also made by the bride.
She wore a matching veil and
carried a basket of yellow and
white pompoms. similarly at-
tired in Nile green were the
bridesmaids, Miss Elaine
Elsen, Washington, D.C., and
Miss Joan Fisher, Rochester.
Winston Prudom was best
man for his brother. Ushers
were John Orynowke,
Niagara Falls and Robert
Maughan, Sayre, Pa.
A reception was held im-
mediately after the ceremony
in the church hall.
Upon their return from a
wedding trip to New England
and Canda the couple will
reside in College Station,
Tex., where Mr. Prudom is
a senior at Texas A and M
University. Both the bride and
bridegroom are graduates of
the State University of New
York Agricultural and
Technical College at Alfred.
