Mr. and Mrs. Ralph R. Bell of
Barker, announce the engagement
ci their daughter, Norma May, to
Albert Elliott Avery, of Oakfield,
the marriage to take place September
10.

Bell, daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Ralph R. Bell of Barker to Albert
Elliott Avery, son of Mrs. Bertha
Avery of Oakfield. was quietly solemnized
at 12:30 o'clock Monday,
September 10 in the Somerset Union
Methodist Episcopal church. The
Rev. Ernest Fillmore Scott performed
the ceremony.
Mr. and Mrs. Frank Stevensky of
Rochester, the latter a sister of the
bride, were the attendants.
The bride was gowned in brown
with matching hat and accessories
and aha wore a shoulder corsage of
Talisman roses. Her attendant
wore a rust colored gown with a
brown bat and brown accessories
and her corsage was of Talisman
roses.
A luncheon at the Aln Lieu at OIcott
followed the ceremony and
covers were laid for only members
of the immediate families including
Mr. and Mrs. Ralph R. Ball, Mrs.
Avery of Oakfield and Mr. and Mrs.
Glenn Anthony of Syracuse.
Mr. and Mrs. Avery left Immediately
on a western trip to Cleveland,
the Century of Progress Exposition
in Chicago and Madison,
Wis., where Mr. Avery la a law student
at the University of Wisconsin.
The bride is a graduate of Barker
High school and Brockport Normal
and was a member of the Oakfield
High school faculty for the past five
years.
