Born Dec. 9, 1875 in Gruenow Prussia, in the Uckermarck. In 1880 his parents with 3 children came to America to Walmore, NY. Son of Julius Mante and Albertine Mehls. Confirmed April 28, 1884 by Rev. J. N. Grabau; Married Mar. 1, 1916 to Miss Lena Blumreich, she died June 21, 1936; lived alone on his farm until Feb 1949 when he became ill, in hospital. After living 5 mo. with his 2 sisters he lived alone again for another 2 years. Ailing since 1951; stroke Oct. 1951. Had a stroke Jul 11 which caused sudden death. Survivors: two sisters, Mrs. Philip Williams and Mrs. Henry Schultz, and nieces and nephews.

SANBORN, July 12-Albert G.
Mante, 78, died suddenly yesterday
at his home in this village. Mr.
Mante came to this country from
Germany as a child, owned and
operated a farm In the Lockport
road until ill health caused him to
retire several years ago. For the
last year he had made his home
with Mr. and Mrs. William Wendt,
this village, where he died. He was
an active member of St. Peter's
Lutheran Church, Walmore.' His
wife, the late Lena Blumreich
Mante, died in 1936.
He is survived by two sisters,
Mrs. Philip Williams, Niagara
Falls, and Mrs. Henry Schulz,
Lewistofi, arid several nieces and
nephews.
Friends may call at the Pike
Funeral Home, Hoover Rd., Sanborn,
where services, will be held
Wednesday at 2 p.m. and at St.
Peter's Church, Walmore, at 2:30
p.m. Interment will be in St.
peter's Cemetery.
