NORTH TONAWANDA—Alvin
W. Wendt, 79, of 10700 Cayuga
Drive, Niagara Falls; a self-
employed carpenter, died unexpectedly
Tuesday (June 24, 1969)
of an apparent heart attack.
Mr. Wendt was stricken in
his home -and was pronounced
dead on arrival at DeGraff Memorial
Hospital. Born in Bergholtz,
he lived in this city for
the last 25 years and was a
member of St. Paul Lutheran
Church and the Lutheran Lay-
men's League of the church.
He is survived by his wife, the
former Olive Gooley; two
sisters, Mrs. William B. Wendt
Sr. of Sanborn and Mrs. Vernon
Steel of Sarasota, Fla.
Funeral services will be con-
ducted at 1:30 p.m. Friday at
the Hamp Funeral Home, the
Rev. Enna A Schmoock offi-
ciating. Burial will be in White
Haven Cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 to 4
and 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral
home.
