Miss Anna Althea. Walker, of 303
Eighty-third street, this city, member
of the LaSalle high school faculty,
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lewis H.
Walker of Dale road. Royal ton, and
Claudius J. Walker, son of Mr. and
Mrs. James C. Walker, of S t Petersburg,
Fla., were united in marriage
at 3:30 o'clock Saturday afternoon,
Sept. 4, at the borne of the bride's
parents, the Rev. E. A Dutcber of
Oasport. officiating.
Mrs. Raymond J. Walker at the
piano, played appropriate selections
as prelude to the wedding march
which ushered in the wedding party.
A ribbon aisle to the oriel, which was
banked with Japanese palms, where
the groom, attended by his brother,
Bradley F. Walker, was stationed, was
formed by Miss Faith Walker, Miss
C. Jane Hurd, Mrs. Avery W. Walker
and Mrs. John R. Walker.
Preceding the bride came her attendants,
her sister. Miss Shirley E.
Walker, gowned to wine-colored
velvet with Battenberg lace collar
and attractive corsage. The bride
was attractive In mldnlght-blue velvet,
with grey accessories and becoming
shoulder corsage.
A prominent guest at the reception
was Mrs. Sarah A. Bradley, of Niagara
Falls, 87 years of age, grandmother
of the groom. Her gift was a handmade
butterfly applique quilt.
A wedding breakfast, buffet style,
was served to 70 guests. The two
large three-tiered bride's and wedding
cakes being cut ceremoniously
by bride and groom respectively.
The dining room was presided over
by Mrs. Ruth Rlcker, a cousin of the
groom, and Miss Doris Howes, assisted
by sisters and brothers of the groom.
