NORTH TONAWANDA - Ardis R. DuBois, age 89, of Wheatfield, was called peacefully to her heavenly home on Sunday, July 27, 2014, at DeGraff Memorial Hospital. Born in North Tonawanda, NY on October 4, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Victor and Ida (Ellman) Haseley. A graduate of North Tonawanda High School, she was a lifelong member of St. John Ev. Lutheran Church in Wheatfield, where she served on the Altar Guild and member of the Women Of The Church. Ardis was also a member of the Wheatfield Seniors and did volunteer work at ElderWood Health Care at Crestwood, and the Niagara County Nutrition Program. She enjoyed reading and gardening.
Survivors include a son, Gary Wolf of Wheatfield; daughter, Barbara (Russell) Grillo of Riverside, CA; two stepsons, Douglas (Barbara) DuBois of Amherst, and Cal (Lisa) DuBois of Sanborn; six grandchildren, Kristy (Brian) Williams, Stacy (Chris) Grubbs, Stephen Grillo, Kelley Grillo, Danielle DuBois, Jeffrey DuBois; two great-grandsons, Brandon and Jacob Williams; a sister, Beatrice Wolf of Baltimore, MD; sister-in-law, Louise Bish of Tonawanda, and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her two husbands, John Wolf and Herbert DuBois.
Friends may call at the DUBOIS FUNERAL HOME, 2436 Niagara Road (Bergholz), in Wheatfield, on Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM. Services will be conducted on Thursday (July 31), at 10:30 AM in St. John Ev. Lutheran Church, corner Niagara Falls Blvd. and Ward Road. Interment will follow in St. John Lutheran Cemetery, Wheatfield. Memorial contributions may be made to the church.
