MISS NANCY RANKIE
b e c a m e the bride of
Clarence B. Poteet in a
double - ring ceremony
Saturday (March 2, 1963)
at Colonial Village United
Presbyterian Church.
Rev. William J. Devine,
pastor of Niagara United
Presbyterian Church, officiated.
The former Miss Rankie
is the daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. Clayton Fowler, Saunders
Settlement Road. Mr.
Poteet is the son of Mrs.
Bertha Poteet, Bedford, tfa.,
and the late Emmit Poteet.
Given in marriage by her
father, the bride wore a
gown of candle white velvet
and lace. The princess style
skirt fell to a chapel length
train and a queen's crown
of lace and pearls held her
four-tiered bouffant veil of
silk illusion. She carried a
prayer-book adorned with
white carnations and an orchid.

MISS DONNA RANKIE
was her sister's maid of
honor in a red velveteen
dress. She wore a white fur
pillbox headpiece and carried
a white fur muff centered
with red carnations.
Mrs. Edward Matson was
bridesmaid. She was attired
similarly to the honor attendant.
The Misses Cheryl Loughrey
and Brenda Matson
were flower girls wearing
white velvet ensembles trimmed
with red satin. They
also carried white fur muffs
centered with red carnations.
William King was best
man and Edward Matson
ushered.
A late afternoon reception
was held at the Lewiston
Volunteer Fire Co. No. 2
Hall.
Mr. and Mrs. Poteet will
motor through the Shenandoah
Valley to their future
residence in Bedford, Va.
