Mr. and Mrs. Louis Jacobs of
67 Gibson St. announce the marriage
of their daughter, Nellie
Margaret, to Roger Williams son
of Mr. and Mrs. George Pankow
of Ward Road on June 5 at 4
o'clock in St. John's Lutheran
Church, St. Johnsburg. The Rev.
Walter Thiemecke performed the
double ring ceremony.
The ultar of the church was
decorated with red and white
carnations and palms and the
family pews were marked with
white satin ribbons.
Miss Hildegarde Dunnbier, cousin
of the bridegroom, sang "Because"
and Miss Jane Gillman
sang "The Lord's Prayer" accompanied
by Mrs. Elizabeth Smith,
organist
Given in marriage by her
father, the bride wore a gown of
silver satin styled with a round
neckline outlined with a ruffle of
Chantilly lace, and long sleeves
gathered at the wrists and edged
with lace. A lace peplum featured
the full skirt which was caught
up with blue ribbons over a
matching slip, and extended into
a long train. Her fingertip veil
was attached to a tiara of seed
pearls. She wore a triple strand
of pearls, the gift of the bridegroom
and carried white roses,
carnations and sweetpeas in a
cascade bouquet.
Attending were Miss Bessie
May, maid-of-honor, Miss Hildegard
Dunnbier of Detroit, and
Miss Mildred Regener, bridesmaids.
They were gowned in
white taffeta with square ruffled
necklines, fitted bodices and
skirts caught up with white satin
bows. The maid of honor carried
a bouquet of red and white carnations,
and the bridesmaids
carried red carnations. All wore
tiaras of red and white shattered
carnations.
Edward Williams attended his
brother as best man and The
ushers were Nicholas Jacobs, brother
of the bride and Don Schroeder
of Rochester, Mich.
The bride's mother chose a
black and white print dress with
white accessories and the bridegroom's
mother wore an aqua
dress with white accessories. Both
wore corsages of roses and sweet
peas,
A wedding dinner for 45
guests was served at Waldek's
Tavern, Payne Ave., and a reception
followed in St. Johnsburg
Fire Hall.
For her wedding trip the bride
wore a pink gabardine suit with
white accessories and at corsage of
white roses and carnations.
