Ascension Church was the aettnig for a pretty Summer
wedding, Aug. 2, at 10 a.m., when Miss Twilva Lee Broecker,
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence A. Broecker, 191 Predericka
St., became the bride of William B. Meagher, son of
Mr. and Mrs. Basil Meagher, 35 Ganson St.
The Rev. Francis J. Hunt performed the double ring
ceremony before an altar graced with gladioli, palms and
branch candlebra.
During the ceremony lira. John
McNeraey of Augusta, Ga.» the
bride's aunt, sang Ave Maria and
Miss Katherine Stalteri sang Mother,
At Thy Feet Is Kneeing. Mrs.
William Brick was at the organ.
A gown of white Chantilly lace
over nylon tulle
bride when her father
styled with an illusion neckline, a
lace bertha and long sleeves edged
with lace ruffles. The bouffant
skirt formed a cathedral length
train. Her fingertip veil of French
illusion fell from a Dutch cap of
matching lace. She carried a bouquet
of white carnations centered
'With a white orchid.
Miss Maureen Cox, maid of honor,
wore a Chantilly type lace
gown of white over shrimp taffeta
fashioned with a fitted bodice and
a lace cape. Her white bouffant
skirt was appliquod with the de-
Sign of the lace. A picture hat
mitts completed her' attire. She
carried a cascade of orchid gladioli.
The bridesmaids, Miss Jacquelyn
Andrees and Miss Margory Straf-
ford, and junior bridesmaid, Miss
Lynn Poerschke, were similarly
•owned in orchid. Their cascade
bouquets were of shrimp gladioli.
littie Cheryl Ann Thorn, the
flower girl carried white lace
basket with orchid flowers which
complimented her shrimp colored
costume.
Best man was Gerald
brother of the bridegroom;
Broecker, brother of the
and Jack DeFranceseo ushered.
Ring bearer was David Dale, nephew
of the bridegroom.
For her daughter's wedding, Mrs.
Broecker selected t beige lace bal
ierina length dress with dark
brown accessories and a corsage
of white gardenias with yellow
roses. The bridegroom's mother
chose a teal blue dress with white
accessories and a corsage of yellow
roses and baby pom poms.
A wedding breakfast for 'the immediate
family was served, at the
Horse Shoe GrilL A four tiered
wedding cake and vases of white
gladoli and carnations decorated
the brides table. Later, a recep-
tion for 150 people was given in
Ascension Hall.
Traveling through the New England
States, the bride wore a grey
gabardine suit trimmed with white
and accented with black accessories.
Her corsage was a white orchid.
Mr. and: Mrs. Meagher are
now living at 965 Oliver St.
.Showers honoring the bride were
given by Mrs. Sally Keller, Mrs.
Kay Pappas, Mrs. Katherine Gagnon,
Mrs. Vi English, Mm. Clara
Clinch, Mrs. Verona Poerschke,
Miss Maureen Cox., Miss Margory

Mrs. Basil Meagher, Mrs.
