- Norman R. Steblein, of Lockport, NY, passed away in Endicott, NY, surrounded by his loved ones on Friday, April 15th, 2022, at the age of 88. Born on July 26th, 1933, in Lockport, NY.
He was a graduate of L.S.H.S., veteran of Korean Conflict, Assistant VP at Marine Midland Bank, member of Olcott Yacht Club, Tuscarora Club, Eastern Niagara United Way, Family and Children's Services Niagara, Elks Club and American Legion. He was one of the original coaches of Lockport Little Loop Football. Also, past Chairman of the Board of Directors of Lewiston Trail Council, Boy Scouts of America, Trustee at the Newfane Inter-community Hospital.
He is survived by his wife, Marcia G. Steblein (Bloomberg), of 65 years; and siblings, Ralph Steblein, Roger (Marilyn) Steblein, Brenda (Tony) D'Angelo, and Geraldine (Bill) Wasik; children, Jeffery G. (Patricia) Steblein of Deltona, Florida, Suzanne E. (Randy) Howell of Endicott, NY, Kira L. Dewey of Lockport, NY; his granddaughters were his six princesses, Courtney (Chad) Miller, Ashley (Christian) Pascucci, Samantha (Christopher) Howell-Cubells, Elizabeth (Christopher) Laubisch, Kelsey Dewey, and Kaley Dewey; great-grandchildren, Kennedy Shepheard, Oliver Pascucci, Avery Miller, Eleanor Pascucci and Cameron Cubells. Predeceased by his parents, Ralph P. Steblein and Dorothy M. Calkins (Steblein); and his sister, Dolores (Phil) Birdsall.
At Norman's request, his body will be donated to the University of Buffalo's Anatomical Gift Program for the advancement of science. A celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.
