McBriar Chapel of the
Church of the Covenant in
Erie, Pa., was the setting for
the Aug. 11 wedding of Miss
Betty June Lund, daughter
of Mrs. Mildred Lund. 105
Keil St., and the late Warren
Lund, and Henry Braddell,
son of Mrs. C. F. Braddell of
Mullen St.
The Rev. Weir Hartman performed
the nuptial ceremony beifore
an altar lighted with tall
white tapers.
Given in marriage by her uncle,
DeWayne Hall, the bride was
dressed in a gown of white Chantilly
lace over taffeta fashioned
with princess lines, short sleeves
and a sweetheart neckline offset
with iridescents. Her bouffant skirt
terminated in a chapel-length
[train. A close-fitting Juliet cap embroidered
with iridescents held her
fingertip veil ot illusion. She carried
a bouquet of white carnations
and stephanotis with pink rosebuds.
Mrs. LaVerne Sommers attended
the bride as her matron-of-honor.
She wore a princess-style dress of
blue lace over taffeta trimmed
with bands of satin ribbon. Her
bouquet was of yellow gladioli.
Mrs. Roger Lund, bridesmaid,
wore an orchid gown similar to
the honor attendant's and carried
orchid gladioli. Both were close
fitting feathered caps of matching
colors.
John R. Braddell. brother of the
bridegroom, attended as best man.
Roger Lund, brother of the bride,
was an usher. .
For her daughter's wedding Mrs.
Lund selected a dress of dusty rose
nylon chiffon over taffeta with navy
accessories. Mrs. Braddell
chose a black and white silk print'
with black accessories. Both were
presented with corsages of white
roses.
Immediately after the ceremony,
a luncheon was served for the wed-
ding party and guests in the Scot-'
tish Rite Masonic Temple in Erie.
Pa. A reception for 300 guests was
given that evening at the Eldredge
Club, Tonawanda.
Out-of-town guests were present
from Hanover. N.H . Boston,
Mass.. Glens Falls and Ithaca.
After a wedding trip to New
York City and Hanover, N.H., Mr.
and Mrs. Braddell are at home in
41 Rumbold Ave.
Pre-nuptial parties for the bride
were given by Mrs. LaVerne Sommers.
