11251 Marie A. DeMartino, 95, of Plano, TX, formerly of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on Thursday, May 14, 2020. Born in Niagara Falls, NY, daughter of the late Joseph and Catherine (Iacopino) Palermo.
Marie attended local schools, graduating from Niagara Falls High School. She married Dominick T. DeMartino on June 28, 1947 in St. Joseph Church. Mr. DeMartino predeceased her on July 31, 1992.
Marie was employed at the former Marine Midland Bank for several years. She later went to work as the office manager for Dr. R.S. Barry in Niagara Falls for 20 years, retiring in the late 1980's. In 1994 Marie moved to Plano, TX, with family.
Her life was centered around her devotion to her family and above all enjoyed spending precious time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Marie is survived by her children, Murray J. (Alberta) DeMartino, Joseph R. (Sarah) DeMartino, Thomas J. (Maria) DeMartino and James C. DeMartino; grandchildren, Joseph (John Quattrocchi) DeMartino, Elizabeth (Rocky) Rivera, Marie Catherine DeMartino, Catherine Edge, Sarafina (David) Clayton, Lauren DeMartino and James DeMartino; great-grandchildren, Sofia, Eva, Titus, Elise, Silas, Francesca; and several step-great-grandchildren; one sister, Janette (late Rene) LePage; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Due to recent circumstances there will be no prior visitation. Funeral services and entombment in St. Joseph Cemetery will be held privately for the immediate family. A public memorial service will be held at a future date to be announced.

11252 Marie A. Filicetti, 99, of Niagara Falls, NY went home to be with her Heavenly Father on July 14, 2020 at Schoellkopf Health Care Facility.  Born in Niagara Falls, NY, she was the daughter of the late Salvatore and Grace Vilardo.
Marie attended local schools graduating from Trott Vocational High School.  On October 6, 1945, she married Louis F. Filicetti.  Mr. Filicetti predeceased her on April 2, 2013.  During the 1940’s Marie worked at Grant’s Department Store and Kimberly Clark.  Marie was later employed as a lunch monitor from the mid 1960’s to the mid 1980’s at 66th Street Elementary School and finally LaSalle Senior High School.
Marie loved being an active part of her community.  She knitted and crocheted newborn hats and blankets to donate to the babies in local hospitals.  Marie volunteered at Artpark as an usher and at her church.   She was a member of the Altar Rosary Society as well as the Parent Teacher Association at Prince of Peace, serving as President in 1963 - 1964.    Marie centered her life around her family.  When she wasn’t cooking for her family or volunteering at her church, you could find Marie dancing the night away. 
Marie is survived by her children, Gloria (Chris) Stanz, Gilda Bonnevie and Patricia (late Serofino) Giambattista; her grandchildren, Michael (Joanne Willard) Stanz, Annemarie (Marc) Selvitelli, David (Amanda) Urbaniak, Teresa (Christopher) Chapman, Phillip (Danielle) Bonnevie, Julie (Christopher) Scott, Michele (William) Vaughn, Andrea (Gordon) Stevens, and Sammy Giambattista; eighteen great-grandchildren, and her brother, Thomas (late Rosemary) Vilardo as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.  Marie was predeceased by her daughter, Marcia (Stephen) Urbaniak, and her siblings, Sarah (late Philip) LaSpisa, Jennie (late Angelo) Muscarello, Nicholas (late Mary) Vilardo, Larry (late Lucy) Vilardo, Carrie (late Joe) Agugliaro, Josephine (late Alex) DiPaolo and Lucy (late Joseph) DeDario.
Marie enjoyed her activities at Schoellkopf and was truly helpful to the residents there.  The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at Schoellkopf for their excellent care and compassion to Marie.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 17 from 4 - 8 PM at M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY 14304 where services will begin on Saturday at 11:45 AM followed by Marie’s Mass of Christian Burial at 12:30 PM at Prince of Peace Church, 1055 N. 11253 Marie Annette (Lang) Soos of North Tonawanda entered eternal rest November 22, 2020 – the eighth anniversary of the passing of her husband Alexander “Al” Soos. She was born in Nutley, NJ where she lived until moving to Buffalo as a teenager.
Marie met Al in Buffalo at the Madison Avenue Armory where he and her brother were practicing for Drum Corp shows. Throughout their life together they continued to follow the Drum Corp in the company of friends they met during that time.
Married for fifty-four years, they raised five children together. They were active members of their North Tonawanda community including Ascension Church and the Knights of Columbus. She and Al loved to travel, across the country and around the world, with several trips to Europe and many cruises including Alaska and the Caribbean. Their children enjoyed extended visits with them as career and service stations had them living in all parts of the world.
While she loved to travel, time spent sitting on her front porch, looking out at Pine Woods Park, with family, her cat Emma or her neighbor “Aunt” Barb, was also a source of great joy.
Marie is also predeceased by her parents, Herbert and Mary (Gaughan) Lang, her brother Joe Lang, and sister-in-law Marge Lang. She is survived by her children; Annette Hodgens (Stephen), John (Ellen), Louis, Patrick (Lori), James, two special nephews, Tim and Andrew Lang, brother-in-law Larry Soos (Linda), and many other cherished family members.
To her 14 grandchildren and five great grandchildren, she was simply “G”, one of the best grandma nicknames ever.
Left to cherish her memory are grandchildren: Alex Hodgens (Erika), Patrick Hodgens, Mary Kate Hunt (Joe), Brendan Hodgens (Lindsey), Jack Soos (Kerrie), Laura Ott (Ian), Daniel Soos, Matthew Soos, Michael Soos (Nicole), Benjamin Soos, Nicholas Soos, William Soos, Meghan Policella (Mike), Stephen Soos (Courtney) and great grandchildren Sloane and Perry Hodgens, Madeline Hunt, Avery Ott, and Harrison Soos, with three more great grandchildren to come very soon.
Friends will be received by the family at Wattengel Funeral Home, 533 Meadow Drive, North Tonawanda on Tuesday evening from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. A private family Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday at Saints Peter and Paul Roman Catholic Church. Services will be live streamed at ssppchurch.com. Internment at Mount Olivet Cemetery.

11254 Marie C. Sansalone, 90, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on August 7, 2020 at her residence under the care of Niagara Hospice. Born in Brooklyn, NY, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Florence (Catrini) Vicari.
Marie was born an only child and raised in Brooklyn, NY, with her parents and aunt, all living in the same brownstone. Most of her family lived on the same block, making memories that she treasured for the rest of her life. Marie loved New York City and never wanted to leave her beloved city.
She met Nicholas J. Sansalone and on July 1, 1951 they were married. They then moved to Niagara Falls where they started and raised a family. Mr. Sansalone predeceased her on January 17, 2018 after 66 years of marriage.
She enjoyed shopping, cooking, swimming and music. She is remembered by her enjoyment of entertaining her family and friends with love and laughter.
Marie is survived by her children, Joseph Sansalone (Janice Meiler), Chris M. (Timothy) Bax, Theresa A. (Lenny) Privitera, Nick (Linda) Sansalone, and Anthony (Darlene) Sansalone; her grandchildren, Michael Sansalone, Nicolas Sansalone, JoMarie Sansalone (Carm Zito), Timothy (Kara) Bax II, Jesse Bax (Rob Leo), Savannah (Paul) Getty, Caitlin Sansalone, Jenna Sansalone, Danielle (Travis) Kimble, and Stephanie Sansalone (Chris Bald); six great-grandchildren, Olivia, Charity, Carson, Aurora, Ryder and Selah. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by a great grandson, Landon.

11255 Marie D. Wienke, of Sanborn, NY, passed away on Monday, August 13, 2018, in Our Lady of Peace Nursing Care Residence.
She was born in Los Angeles, CA, on January 27, 1938, the daughter of the late Cecil and Esther [Mueller] Strehlow.
Marie moved to North Tonawanda in the 1940's with her family and graduated from North Tonawanda High School.
She worked in the Melody Fair box office and sports box office at Niagara University where she became the payroll clerk in the Human Resource Department for 23 years, before retiring in 2002.
Marie was a founding and long time member of Abiding Savior Lutheran Church in North Tonawanda where she served faithfully as an organist for 49 years.   Her love of music was shared with many through choir, Sunday school, vacation Bible School and instrumental duets.    She helped start and participated in many of the church women's organizations.
Marie was the first crossing guard for the West Street School in Sanborn and a dedicated charter member of the Sanborn Historical Museum.
She is survived by her husband of 62 years Glenn L. Wienke, three daughters Karen (Bryan) Richardson, Kathy (Rob Sobczyk) Richardson and Kris (Rick) Schrader, six grandchildren Craig (Ashley) Richardson, Julie (Kyle) Stevener, Michelle (Lance) Rolston, Kimberly Richardson, Brittany (Christian) Nole and Brandon Schrader, three great grandchildren Alexis, Natalie and Jackson, a brother Donald (Clara) Strehlow and a sister Donna (Tony) Ventresca, also several nieces and nephews.
Her family will be present on Friday from 3-7 PM at the RHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 5893 Hoover Road, SANBORN, NY.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday at 11:00 AM at Abiding Savior Lutheran Church, 1534 Ruie Road, North Tonawanda, NY.

11256 Marie D. Wright (Nee Schecterly), age 87, of Lewiston died Sunday, December 4th, 2022, at the home of her daughter in North Tonawanda. Marie was born July 23rd, 1935, in Nescopeck, PA. She is the daughter of the late Boyd W. and the late Erla (Hess) Schechterly. Marie graduated from Riverside H.S in Buffalo. She married Franklin L. Wright on September 26th, 1959, he predeceased her on December 3rd, 2017. She was employed by Coutts Library Service in Lewiston, NY as a Clerk from 1979 to 1999 previously working at Pratt and Lambert Paint from 1953-1960. Marie enjoyed wood carving, oil painting and was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Youngstown. She is survived by her children; Susan (Bradley) Milleville and David (Jessica) Wright of Youngstown; her brother, William (late Nancy) Schechterly; grandchildren, Sarah, Christpher and Nicholas Wright and one great granddaughter Norah Gerber- Wright, also several nieces and nephews. 11257 Marie E. (Moore) Camann, of Williams Road, died on Tuesday, September 1, 2009 in Our Lady of Peace Nursing Care Residence. She was 95.She was born in Lewiston, NY on November 20, 1913, a daughter of the late Charles and Edith (Howe) Moore. She attended area schools. On July 3, 1949, she married Earl Camann. They celebrated 47 years of marriage before his death in January 1997. Mrs. Camann was a billing clerk for Moore Business Forms from 1933–1943, and later worked for Baker Optical as a receptionist and bookkeeper from 1961 until her retirement in 1980.She was a longtime member of Grace Lutheran Church, the Hyde Park Golf League, the LaSalle Yacht Club and its Ladies Auxiliary, and served as Treasurer of her Bridge Club. She enjoyed watching golf on TV, knitting and crocheting. Survivors include three children, Judith (Camann) Blackmon (Jeffry) of Eaton, OH, Beth Camann VanHorn (Paul) of Penfield, Terry Camann (Madeline) of Niagara Falls; five grandchildren, Tonya and John Blackmon, Terry Camann, Jr., Christopher Camann and Meghan Dyster–Colosi and two great-grandchildren, Abby and Minda. In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her son, Gary Charles Camann.There will be no prior visitation. Fry passed away November 20, 2022 in Eastern Niagara Hospital.  Born March 18, 1937 in Lewiston she was the daughter of Albert and Ella (Kupke) Witkop.  Marie worked for 29 years at Harrison Radiator Div of GM in production, retiring in 1991.  She enjoyed the Buffalo Bills and Sabres, playing BINGO, gardening, crocheting, and especially enjoyed being with her family.  Marie was predeceased by her husband, Marvin “Dutch” Fry, daughter Debora Wagner, and sister Sara Witkop.
Marie is survived by her children Donna (late Shorty) Massaro, Joy (late Randy) Cummings, Tom (Sherry) Dunn, Marvin (Linda) Fry, Brenda (Jim) Glaser, and Gail (Ralph) Friedrich; son-in-law Frank Wagner; eight grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, and five great-great grandchildren; also several nieces and nephews and Charlie the cat.

11259 Marie M. Becker, of the Town of Wheatfield, passed away on Saturday, August 1, 2015, in Northgate Manor, North Tonawanda, NY. She was born in North Tonawanda, NY, on June 9, 1927, the daughter of the late Lawrence and Alice (Rae) Miller.

Mrs. Becker was a graduate of North Tonawanda High School. She enjoyed spending time with her family and doing ceramics.

Mrs. Becker was the wife of the late John W. Becker, who died in November of 2006. She is survived by one son David (Robin) Becker of Sanborn, one daughter Linda (Ronald) Brown of Rochester, NY, two grand daughters Mary (David) Barber and Jennifer Willis, a great grandson Jackson and a brother Don (Barbara) Miller, also many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Becker was the grandmother of the late Kevin Brown.

Private funeral services were held at the wishes of her family.

Marie N. Hewitt, 95, of Pierce Avenue, entered into rest on Wednesday, September 27, 2006 in ElderWood at Crestwood Nursing Home, Wheatfield, NY. Born on June 6, 1911 in Niagara Falls, Niagara County, NY she was the daughter of the late Peter and Else (Bjerrgaard) Nielsen.

Mrs. Hewitt was a lifelong resident of Niagara Falls, Niagara County, NY and attended local schools. Marie will best be most remembered as the owner and operator of the Anne Aquaint Shop.

Mrs. Hewitt is survived by one daughter Kirstin H. (Gerald) Stack of Pequannock, NJ, four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren all of New Jersey. Marie was predeceased by one sister Karen E. Smith.

Marie worked for Armstrong Pumps, a long time member of Our Lady of Czestochowa Parish, serving in various different ministries. In her spare time over the years Marie volunteered for various organizations. Marie was predeceased by her father  Stephen F. Marie E. Shafer, 81, of 1810 Saunders Settlement Road was pronounced dead on arrival at Mount St. Mary's Hospital Wednesday (May 10, 1978) after suffering an apparent heart attack. She was born in Carnegie, Pa., and was a longtime resident of this area. She was employed for several years by the Nabisco Co. Surviving are her husband, Roy, one son, William (Billy) Springfleld of Alexander, Va., one stepson, Roy J. (Hazel) Falkner of Youngstown and Mrs. Loren (Dolores) Dick of Centerport, N.Y.; 11 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at the Otto Redanz Funeral Home, Michigan Avenue at 10th Street, with the Rev. J. David Mumford officiating. She graduated Niagara Falls High School, attended Buffalo State College and received her Masters in Education from Dowling College in Long Island, NY. Marie taught elementary school in the William Floyd School District in Long Island for 20 years. She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Donald P. Donahue; two daughters, Theresa and Mary (Dan Fuglewicz) Donahue; a grandson, Cody Kuhnle; she is predeceased by her brother Vincent (Rachel) Pallaci; also survived by nieces and nephews. 11264 Marietta Janik, 82, of the Town of Wheatfield, NY, passed away peacefully on December 11, 2024 at her residence under the care of Niagara Hospice.  Born in Niagara Falls, NY, she was the daughter of the late Mario and Lena (Capolupo) Masocco.
Marietta was a graduate of LaSalle Senior High School.  She later earned her Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in Education from Buffalo State College.  On July 10, 1965, she married Paul J. Janik at St. Joseph’s Church in Niagara Falls, NY.   Marietta was employed for over 30 years in the Niagara-Wheatfield Central School District as an Art Teacher, spending her entire career at Edward Town Middle School, until her retirement in 2002.  She had the unique honor of being able to teach her own children. 
Marietta had a true passion and love for art.  She also enjoyed gardening, attending Buffalo Bills games, bowling in various local leagues, and traveling.  She battled Parkinson’s Disease with grace, and even selflessly volunteered to mentor and advocate for others while she was in the height of her own illness.  Above all, she will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, and especially cherished attending her grandchildren’s sporting and recreational events.
The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff of Niagara Hospice for the care and compassion shown to Marietta and the family.

11265 Marilyn (Wamhoff) Volkman, 84 of Kasson and formerly of Lewiston, passed away on Monday, June 15, 2020 at Mayo Clinic Hospital, St. Mary's Campus after a brief illness.
She was born August 27, 1935 in Winona to William and Vera (Markwardt) Wamhoff. Marilyn graduated from Winona High and began working at Watkins until she met and married the love of her life, Donald, on July 30, 1960. They moved to the "Arches," outside of Lewiston in 1970 to raise their four children. They moved to Kasson, MN in 2017 to live with Lori, Glen and Noah Thesing. Marilyn worked at Camera Art for 20 years before retiring in 1999.
She loved to read, enjoyed Bingo, going to the casino, bowling, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. Marilyn had a strong faith and was a member of St. Martin's Lutheran Church in Winona.
She is survived by her husband of almost 60 years, Donald; four children, Robert (Judy) of Beaver Dam, WI, Tammie (Gary Rossin) Volkman of Dover, MN, Lori (Glen) Thesing of Kasson, MN and Dan (Betsy Beech) of Altura, MN; two grandchildren, Cole Volkman Hall and Noah Thesing; one step-granddaughter, Haley (Leon) Evans of Beaver Dam, WI; two sisters-in-law, Pat Barnum of Pine River, MN and Margaret Wamhoff of Upper Michigan; and mother-in-law, Florence Ronnenberg of Pine River, MN.
Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Elaine (Clarence) Block; brother, Gene Wamhoff and step-granddaughter, Megan Creed.
Funeral Service will be 11 a.m., Saturday, June 20, 2020 at St. Martin's Lutheran Church in Winona with the Reverend Richard A. Moore officiating. Visitation will be 10 a.m., until the time of the service. Burial will follow at Oakland Cemetery in Minnesota City.

11266 Marilyn A Rougeux, 86, of Easton, PA, formerly of Liverpool, passed away on Friday morning, July 5, 2019. She was the beloved wife of the late Thomas J. Rougeux. They were married for 47 years prior to his passing. Born in Niagara Falls, she was a daughter of the late Adelard and Elise (Flanagan) Bergeron.
She graduated St. Mary's High School in Niagara Falls Class of 1951. She enjoyed working at ATT as a telephone operator after high school and later in retail at Chappell's department store.
Marilyn was proud of living and contributing to the Bayberry Community for over 50 years. She was involved with all the activities of her five children, a faithful parishioner of Christ the King Church and a 20-year volunteer at St. Joseph's Hospital in Syracuse. Creative, faithful, and fashionable she will be remembered through her bunny collection, her lime green Jell-O mold at Thanksgiving, her chocolate chip cookies, making magic happen at Christmas and birthdays, and encouraging curiosity.
Her sister Marguerite Kerwin predeceased her. Survived to cherish Marilyn's memory are her sisters, Shirlee (Robert) Berry of Pittsford, NY, Joanne Corsaro of Albany, NY; and brother, William (Francine) Bergeron of NV and OH. Her enduring love will be felt by her surviving children, Richard (Kaaren) of Las Vegas, NM, Francis of Londonderry NH, Joanne (Christopher) Nadovich of Easton, PA, Patricia (Mark) George of Middletown, NJ, and Douglas (JoAnne) of Syracuse, NY. Grandchildren, Robert, David, and Brian George, plus Thomas and Julia Nadovich, along with several nieces and nephews, will miss Grandma Camera. A special great-grandson, Harry Jeter Caplan also survives her.

Born on January 31, 1927 in Niagara Falls, NY, she was the daughter of the late Reubin and Florence (Nichols) Martin. Marilyn was a lifelong resident of her South Avenue home and attended local schools. On March 18, 1945, she married Walter R. Hartman, Sr. Mr. Hartman predeceased her on March 8, 2015. Marilyn enjoyed her sweets, playing bingo for many years and in most recent years, playing the NY Lotto Double Cash Word Scratch Off. Marilyn is survived by a son, Walter R. (Carolee) Hartman, Jr.; granddaughter, Emily; adopted grandson, David Winters; dear friends, Lori Jo Pellow and Janice Moffett and several nieces, nephews and cousins. 11269 Marilyn G. Licht , of Sanborn, NY, passed away on Wednesday, January 4, 2023, at Northgate Health Care Facility. She was born in Niagara Falls, NY on December 12, 1928, a daughter of the late Wilbur E. and Helen [Albertson] Treichler.
Mrs. Licht was employed with the W.E. Treichler Greenhouses, in Sanborn, Jones Flower Shop and Glar-Ban, both in Tonawanda, before retiring as home health care aide in 1993.
She was the church organist for many churches throughout the area.
Mrs. Licht was a foster grandmother at Errick Road School from 1994 until 1999.
She enjoyed socializing, reading, Bible study and traveling.
She was the wife of the late John A. Licht, Jr. and Donald W. Truesdell.
Mrs. Licht is survived by three sons James P. (Marta), Joel W. (Elizabeth) and Jerald D. (Robin) Truesdell; a daughter-in-law Ann Truesdell; her brother Wilbur E. (late Janice) Treichler; a sister Sandra Armitage; eight grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren, also many nieces and nephews.
She was the mother of the late Rev. John Truesdell.
Her family will be present on Friday, February 3rd from 10-12 PM at the RHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 5893 Hoover Road, Sanborn, NY, where funeral services will follow at 12:00 PM.

11270 Marilyn Grace Corp, 83, of Rotonda West, FL, passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side on Thursday, March 30, 2017. Marilyn was born to Clarence and Myrtle Shafer on July 6, 1933 in Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada 
She was employed and retired from GM in Lockport, NY after 20 years of service. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star in Ransomville, NY. She enjoyed traveling, camping and yearly fishing trips with her family and friends. Holiday gatherings with family were always a special occasion for her. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend and will forever be missed by all who loved and knew her. 
Survivors include her loving husband of 67 years, Carl, Jr.; two sons, Robert Corp of Hamburg, NY and Steven (Lori) Corp of Rotonda West; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Born on July 24, 1940 to loving parents Harold and Pauline Brumley. Life-long resident of North Tonawanda, NY. Loving mother of Crystal (Michael) Breier, Carl (Llane) Guidotti, Michael (Maureen) Guidotti. Beloved sister of the late Donald (Mary) Brumley, Juanita (late Frank) Joyce). Loved dearly by the late Richard Fessler.
Marilyn will be sadly missed by her niece and nephew, her ten grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, and friends.
Marilyn devoted nearly 38 years of her life to helping others through her career in the healthcare field, as a registered nurse. She was a devoted Bills fan, an avid animal lover, and loved travelling to Hiltonhead, SC with her friends and loved ones. She was a resilient woman with a great sense of humor and fashion that will be remembered by all. She was a member of St. Mark Lutheran Church.

Marilyn J. DiPasquale, 83, of Winter Haven, FL, passed away August 4, 2024 at Forsythe Hospice House in Auburndale, FL.  Born in Niagara Falls, NY, she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Lillian (Paltino) Colosi.
Marilyn graduated from St. Joseph Grade School and was a 1958 graduate of Niagara Falls High School. In 1963, she married Joseph R. DiPasquale. Marilyn was employed as a Secretary at Moore Business Forms and later as a Medical Receptionist for Dr. Henry P. Merletti.  She was a member of Saint Matthews Catholic Church in Winter Haven, FL.   Marilyn volunteered with various organizations where she lived throughout the country, including the Welcome Wagon volunteer work in Blackwood, New Jersey, Carrolton, Texas, and Niagara Falls, New York.   She was also active in the Red Hat Society.   Marilyn loved travelling, entertaining, going out with friends, playing Mah Jong and enjoying other clubhouse activities.
In addition to her husband of 60 years, Marilyn is survived by her son, Anthony (Jennifer) DiPasquale; her grandchildren, Anthony Joseph (Taylor) DiPasquale and Mia DiPasquale; her sister, Patricia (late Larry) Harpster, as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

11273 Marilyn J. Mathew, 88, of Monticello, passed away on Saturday, March 27, 2021 at her residence.

She was born on December 23, 1932 in Muncie, IN to the late Thurman and Violet (Larimer) Hilton. On October 21, 1950, she married Gerald H. "Gerry" Mathew at the St. Joe Catholic Church in Reynolds and he preceded her in death on August 30, 2016.

She was a graduate of Monticello High School and was a homemaker. She was a member of Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Church.

Marilyn was a member of the Mother's Night Out Home Econ. Club in Reynolds. She enjoyed her aerobic club, bird watching, sewing, square dancing, traveling, crocheting and knitting. She won several 4-H awards for crocheting and knitting. She served as a volunteer at the library and for the White County Literacy Council and she loved her flowers.

Surviving are five children; eight grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Gerald Herman Mathew; a sister, Gwen Whitlow; and a brother, Jan Hilton.

Visitation will be on Saturday, April 3, 2021 from 11 AM until the time of services at 1 PM celebrating Marilyn's life at Springer-Voorhis-Draper Funeral Home in Monticello.

Burial will follow in Riverview I.O.O.F. Cemetery

11274 Marilyn J. Schoenherr, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on Thursday, March 1, 2018 in the Schoellkopf Health Center.   She was born in Niagara Falls, NY,  on October 25, 1928, the daughter of the late George and Eloise [Swann] Neville.
Mrs. Schoenherr graduated from Niagara Falls High School in 1946. She was employed at Olin Matheson and J.N. Adams & Co. department store and later as a dental assistant for Dr. McDonnell after having raised her five children.
She became a partner with her dear friend, Gretchen Broderick, opening the very first Bed & Breakfast reservation service in Western New York in 1981, "Rainbow Hospitality".
Mrs. Schoenherr loved to travel to Siesta Key, FL, Colorado and New York City.
She is survived by her loving husband of 68 years Robert J. Schoenherr, they were married on August 20, 1949 in Sacred Heart Church, two sons James R. (Brenda) and Thomas J. (Donald Bertucci) Schoenherr, three daughters Sue A. (Steven) Hosey, Karen L. (Stephen) Roberts and Patricia J. (Jeffrey) Beresheski, ten grandchildren Jessica and Benjamin Hosey, Zachary (Ari) and Robert Schoenherr, Elizabeth, Colleen, Kaitlin, and Maureen Roberts, Alex and Allison Beresheski, four great grandchildren Chad Michael, Olivia, Ezekiel and Reed, one sister Mary Beth Miller, two nieces  Jennifer (Garrett) Olds and Lisa (James) Woods.

Marilyn enjoyed learning about her Iroquois heritage. She enjoyed researching the culture and traditions of her Mohawk/ Tuscarora lineage, and was an avid supporter of her brothers and sisters who continue to fight against the North Dakota pipeline. In her younger years, she enjoyed dancing and gardening.
 
Marilyn is survived by children, Liana Evert, Nicole Terrana and Bobby Terrana; grandchildren, Michael, Anthony and Zachary Durham; siblings, Darlene Limber, Wayne (Victoria) Chew, Timothy Chew and Angela (Kenneth) Wagner; several nieces and nephews, her fur-baby, Ace and her former spouse, Robert Terrana.

11277 Marilyn Loge passed away April 15th at the age of 90. She was born and raised in New York, where she met her husband, Howard. They were happily married for 70 years.
Settling in Western New York, they raised their family of four children. Marilyn and Howie enjoyed their retirement years in Grand Junction.
Marilyn was an RN, a talented artist, and loved gardening and animals, especially dogs. People were drawn to her sweet spirit and kind heart. She was very active in her faith, serving in Christian Women's Ministries and Stonecroft Ministries.
She is survived by her husband, Howard; daughter, Judy (Jack); sons, Dan (Ellen), Jim (Teresa) and Dave (Jill); along with 10 grandchildren. Marilyn is preceded in death by her parents, Gertrude Hilkert and Howard Johnson; and her brother, Ron Nelson.
A celebration of her life will take place at Canyon View Vineyard Church's Chapel at 11:00 AM Saturday, April 28. The address is 736 24 1/2 Road, Grand Junction.

Marilyn enjoyed baking, gardening and the scenes of nature. Her main joy in life was spending time with her loving family. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
She was predeceased by her husband, Russell J. Kress, who died on February 28, 2012.
Mother of the late David Kress and sister of the late Clifford Vanderwalker. Survivors include her daughter, Jean Bedford of Akron; four sons, James (Beverly) Kress of Lockport, Robert Kress of Lockport, Edward (Sandy) Kress of Gasport and Brian (Brenda) Kress of Newfane. She graduated in 1952 from Niagara Falls High School. Marilynn worked at the Kimberly Clark Paper Mill, and in 1957, married Thomas F. Brownell. Marilynn enjoyed many hobbies, including reading and crafting ornaments

11282 Marilynn Herowski, 90, of Niagara Falls, NY passed away on October 28, 2022 in her home, surrounded by loved ones.Marilynn was the owner of Cataract Printing Service in Niagara Falls, a family business for 98 years. She was also very active in the community as a Real Estate Broker, a Judge for Canadian figure skating, the first woman President of the Echo Society, Chairman of the Niagara Falls Republican Party, a lifetime member of the Red Jacket Club, and worked with both Girl and Boy Scouts. She founded the Echo Polonia Tancerze, a Polish folk dancing group, and was thrilled to be invited to take the group to Disney World to perform at Epcot Center's International Music Days.She was happiest when her family came together, which they did for weekly movie nights, Buffalo Bills games and every holiday. Marilynn was co-founder of The Explorer's Club, which brought her extended family and friends together to visit and enjoy the wonderful events, places and activities in Western New York.She is survived by daughters Marcia Malizie, Kathryn Serianni and Elizabeth Williams, and sons Stanley and John (Carolyn) Herowski; grandchildren Sara (David) Englander, Bridget and Brian Williams and Jacob Sesto; and great-grandchildren Salvatore and Emily Bianco; sister Karen (Joseph) King and sister-in-law Mary (William) Alberts; several cousins, nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.Marilynn was preceded in death by her husband Stanley in 1997, parents John and Verna Alberts, and brothers John and William Alberts.The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to Niagara Hospice for their compassionate care. 11284 Mario Francis Callara of Medina, NY, age 94, passed away on Thursday, March 9th, 2017. He was born in Medina, on February 13, 1923 to Peter James and Rose (Grossi) Callara. He married Margaret M. Barnes of Lockport, NY on January 3, 1948. Mario and Margaret just happily celebrated 69 years of marriage.
Mario served in the United States Navy during WWII. His passion in life was cars. He started his own auto collision repair business on East Center Street in Medina. From there, he went on to manage the auto body collision shop at Barton Oldsmobile in Lockport until his retirement. After his retirement, Mario and Margaret spent their winters in Florida. Mario also enjoyed spending time with his family, camping, fishing, swimming, yard work and walks along the Erie Canal Towpath.
He is survived by his beloved wife Margaret Callara; his children, Bonnie Callara, Richard Callara and Diane Schnackel; his grandchildren, Joseph and James Callara, Tracy Callara, Jill Weston, Brooke (Ralph) Duryea, Courtney (Clay) Morgan, Zachary (Sara) Schnackel, Kayleigh (Zachary) Teachey; great-grandchildren, Alexander Callara, Conner and Adelyn Duryea, and Camden Morgan; sister-in-laws, Charlotte (Barnes) Blewett and Joy Barnes; special nephew, Vincent VanDetta; several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded by his siblings, Violenta Callara (who died as an infant), Josephine VanDetta, Mary Stornelli, Jacob Callara, Viola Armstrong, Frank Callara and Anthony Callara.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, March 14, at St. Mary's Church in Medina, celebrated by The Rev. Daniel J. Fawls. Military honors will be accorded at the church following the Mass by members of Lincoln Post #1483, VFW and Butts Clark Post #204, American Legion. A private family committal will be held later in the week at St. Mary's Cemetery for his inurnment in the family columbarium.

11285 Mario Zuccari, 95, of Bergholtz, NY, passed away on Tuesday, July 5, 2016 at Our Lady of Peace Nursing Care Residence in Lewiston, NY. Born in Niagara Falls, NY he was the son of the late Pietro ‘Peter’ and Francesca ‘Frances’ (D’Angelo) Zuccari.

Mario was a lifelong resident of the Niagara Falls area and attended local schools. On August 17, 1957 he married Elia A. (Ricchio) Zuccari at St. Joseph Church in Niagara Falls, NY. Mrs. Zuccari predeceased him on October 5, 2003. Mario worked at the Zuccari Brothers Dairy Farm, which his father started in 1922 in Niagara Falls, NY. The farm later relocated to its current location in Bergholtz, NY where he continued working until retiring after more than seventy five years. As a youngster, Mario enjoyed playing baseball.

Mario is survived by two children Mary Jo (Judy) Zuccari of Charlotte, NC and Albert L. (Kim) Zuccari of Niagara Falls, NY; five grandchildren Mario Zuccari, Nicholas Zuccari, Vincent Zuccari, Dom Zuccari and Tara Casey, Five great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by three sisters Paradise (late Luigi) Eugeni, Emma (late Joseph) Siracuse and Pauline (late Mario) Cortellini and three brothers Paul Zuccari, Louis (Marie Zuccari of Los Angeles, CA) Zuccari and Alfonso ‘Frank’ (late Teresa) Zuccari.

11287 Marion A. (Eustice) Thiboult, lifetime area resident, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 10, 2016 after a lengthy illness. She was 94. She was born in Lewiston on February 6, 1922, a daughter of the late Thomas and Bertha (Rieckhoff) Eustice. She attended Lewiston schools and graduated from the Red Brick School.

Mrs. Thiboult was a homemaker until the passing of her husband Arthur P. Thiboult in 1965 at which point she began her career as a legal secretary with the Niagara County Legal Aid Society.

Mrs. Thiboult was a longtime member and Eucharistic Minister at Prince of Peace Church, was a member of the American Legion and the Moose Lodge and she loved bowling, arts and crafts and attending movies.

She is survived by 6 children: Peggy (late John) Hazlett, Judy (James) Cornelius, Arthur (Denise) Thiboult, Gary Thiboult, William Thiboult and Donna (fiancé Clayton Dimmick) Benedict. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her daughter Carol (late Richard) Pendleton and a grandson Roger Carlisle.

11288 Marion A. Baker, 92 years, of Niagara Falls, NY, June 16, 2021 at Schoellkopf Health Center. Wife of the late Robert M. Baker, she was the daughter of Louis and Mildred Vawter.
Mrs. Baker worked at Francis Optical Co. from 1949 until 1967 when she married Robert M. Baker, then owner of Baker Optical Company. Mrs. Baker volunteered at Niagara Falls Memorial Medical center for over 60 years until Covid 19 became a threat.
Mrs. Baker is survived by her step-daughter, Barbara Nadig of Flower Mound, TX; three step-granddaughters, Blythe (Joseph) Valenzuela of Round Rock, TX, Brittany (Alan) Horn of Nashville, TN, Brianna (Fernando) San Miguel of Flower Mound, TX; six great-grandchildren; several loving cousins and nephews.
In accordance with Marion's wishes her body was donated to UB School of Medicine. The family is planning a future memorial celebration and will let friends and relatives know of the date.

Marion enjoyed basketball, hockey, knitting, sewing and crocheting. She enjoyed spending time with her friends at Guild Care. 11291 Marion F. 'Maggie' (Heim) Thilk of Wilson, August 20, 2016 in Odd Fellow Rebekah. Born on June 7, 1929 in North Tonawanda, NY, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Anna (Deigelman) Heim.
A 1947 graduate of North Tonawanda High School, both Marion and Merritt worked at Sears Roebuck where they met in 1950 and married on October 16, 1954. She also worked at Wurlitzer in the personnel department for seven years and was the bookkeeper for M H Thilk Electric from 1954-2010. A lifetime member of Our Lady of the Rosary, she was also a member for 50 years in the South Wilson Ladies Auxiliary and was treasurer for 30 of those years. Marion loved to work outside gardening, liked to bake, bowling, doing crosswords, and the Yahtzee Club. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
Surviving is her husband, Merritt Thilk of Wilson; son, John (Coleen) Thilk of Wilson, Diane (Thomas) Briner of Arlington, MA; grandchildren, Hazel (Andrew) Marecki, Alexia (Chris) Sroka, Jordan Thilk, Otto Briner, and Tayler Thilk; and several nieces and nephews.

BERGHOLZ - Marion G. (Haseley-Walck) DuBois, 82, of . Niagara Falls Boulevard, died Friday July 5, 1996) in Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center.
She was born Sept. 12, 1913, in Wheatfield, the daughter of Adolf and Eleonore (Retzlaff) Haseley.
On Sept. 21. 1935, she married Arthur P. DuBois in Niagara Falls.
Mrs. DuBois was a member of Holy Ghost Lutheran Church. where she belonged to the Ladies Aide (sic) and Alter Guild for many years. She also was an exempt member of the Bergholz Fire Co. Ladies Auxiliary.
She enjoyed needlepoint and crocheting.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, Duane DuBois of Wheatfield; a daughter, Jane Andrews of Sanborn; two brothers, Melvin Walck of Farmington, Mich., and Norman Walck of Sanborn; two sisters, Helen Waldkoetter of North Tonawanda and Doris Toellner of Madison Heights. Mich.; two granddaughters; and many nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late Chester Walck.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the DuBois Funeral Home, 2436 Niagara Road, where the Ladies Auxiliary of the Bergholz Fire Co. will conduct a memorial service at 7 p.m. today. 11293 Marion Ida (Pletcher) Soforic Osborne, entered into eternal rest on May 25, 2019 in Gasport, NY, at the age of 97, while surrounded by her loving family. Marion was born to the late Orlee and Arena (Musall) Pletcher on August 30, 1921, in North Tonawanda, NY, where she continued to be a lifelong resident until her move to Absolut Care of Gasport in 2012.
Marion was a loving wife to her first husband, the late Edward Soforic, who passed away in 1957, and to her second husband, the late Charlie Osborne, who passed away in 2009.
She was preceded in death by one brother, LaVerne Pletcher; two sisters, Ora Graham and Lucille Goldsworthy; two step-children, Kathy (Don) Smith and Charlie Osborne; an infant grandson, Branden Lee Ohar; and infant twin granddaughters, Christine and Jennifer Warblow.
Marion is survived by three children, Diane (Gary) Popovice of Palmetto, FL, Janice (George) Ohar of Wheatfield, NY, and Ronald (Darcy) Soforic of Lockport, NY.
She will be greatly missed by her grandchildren, Kristin (Jay) Niles, Jill (Richard) Walker, Laura (Derek) Goforth, Aaron (Maureen) Ohar, Rebecca Ohar, Rachael Ohar, Jordan (Mandi) Ohar, Lindsey Soforic, Christien Soforic, and Danielle Soforic; as well as twelve great-grandchildren, one step-great-great-grandchild; four dear sisters in law, Ruth Soforic, Juan Pletcher, Ima Lee Jones, and Betty Lawter; many cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friends.
Marion was known for her sweet disposition. She did not have an easy life, yet never complained. Marion never had a bad word to say about anyone- a beautiful soul. She enjoyed crafting, socializing, and most of all spending time with her family every chance she had.
Marion was employed by Dr. Schopp, in her earlier years and retired from Niswander Eye Center, where she served as an Ophthalmologist Assistant. Marion was a lifelong member of Payne Avenue Christian Church, in North Tonawanda. She was a proud member of the Inter Amicos Club, which was a club that consisted of a continued high school sorority, that remained together as a close group of friends for approximately 65 year.
A memorial service will be conducted by the Rev. Michael A. Keicher, on July 2 at 7:00 p.m., in the DuBois Funeral Home, 2436 Niagara Road, (Bergholz) in Wheatfield, NY. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, in Marion's memory.

Marion was married to her husband, John, for 65 years and he preceded her in death in 2010. Marion is survived by her daughter Patricia (Keller) Huffman and Wayne, Sharon Keller, and son Bruce Keller; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren and a nephew. She attended North Tonawanda schools until 1935 when she moved to Lockport and graduated Lockport High School in 1936. She came to Wilson in 1940 and worked at Ben's Market, Welker & Browns Grocery store in Wilson. She retired from the Wilson Central School District in 1979 after 15 years in the High School Cafeteria. She belonged to the Gnostic Guild of Wilson since 1942. She was honored in 2001 by the Wilson Fireman's Auxiliary for 55 years of service. She also enjoyed bowling with friends loved to go camping especially at the Yogi Bear Allegany Resort. She was a Lifelong Member of St. Bridget's Catholic Church in Newfane.

She is survived by her children, the late Wendell C. (Ellie) Strubing Jr. and Jeffery (Theresa) Strubing; grandchildren, Raymond Strubing, Chad (Kelly) Strubing, Jennifer(Tom) Serrano; two great-granddaughters, Margaret and Rachael Serrano; a sister, Denise (Michael) Driscoll and a late brother, Nick Sebek; a nephew, Scott (Carla) Driscoll and a niece, Kristine (Marc) Brett.

11297 Marion R. (Rafalko) Rosini, 77, of Lewiston, NY, passed away on May 8, 2018 at Mount St. Mary's Hospital. Born October 27, 1940 in Niagara Falls, NY, she was the daughter of the late Edward Rafalko and Josephine (Carmen) Milosich.
Marion was a lifelong resident. She attended local schools and graduated from Niagara Falls High School where she was a member of the Theta Xi Upsilon Sorority. On August 19, 1961, she married Constantino Rosini in St. Joseph's Church. Mr. Rosini predeceased her on November 14, 1988.
She was employed at Niagara University from 1958 until 1962. Afterwards she became a Real Estate Agent for Realty USA working in Lewiston and Lockport until her retirement. Marion was a member of the Hyde Park School Mother's Club and the Council of the Arts in Lewiston. She enjoyed crafts and making porcelain dolls, and was a great cook and decorator. She loved socializing with friends and was always willing to lend a hand. Most of all, she will be remembered as a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother.

11299 Marion, OH - Judith Grace Milleville Stroble, age 94 of Marion, passed away on Tuesday, December 15, 2020 at Marion General Hospital. She was born in Niagara County, New York, on August 7, 1926, the youngest child of Albert and Rosina (Ferchen) Milleville. In 1944, she graduated from LaSalle High School and became a bookkeeper and secretary in the law offices of Phelps, Gray, Mansour & Hewitt, Niagara Falls, New York. On June 15, 1952, she was married to Howard M. Stroble, whom she had met in 1949 on Mount Rainier while both were on a post-convention tour of the National Luther League convention. They moved to Muscatine, Iowa, where Howard served his intern year at Zion Lutheran Church and Judy continued with secretarial work. On their return to Columbus, she was the secretary to the Construction Engineer of the Ohio Turnpike Commission. Following Pastor Stroble's graduation from Lutheran Seminary in 1954 in Columbus, Ohio, and ordination in Zion Lutheran Church, Hartford City, Indiana, they served churches in WaKeeney, Kansas; Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada; Saginaw, Michigan; Alma and Republican City, Nebraska; Union City, Indiana; and St. John Lutheran Church (Windfall) in Cardington, Ohio. In Marion, Judy worked in the law offices of Eugene A. Yazel and Brent A. Rowland, and Pastor Stroble was the ARMS Chaplain until his passing on November 2, 2004. Thankful to be a member of the Holy Christian Church, Judy was very active in her work as a Sunday School teacher, choir member, and ACLW officer. She planned many programs for Christmas, Mother's Day, and special anniversaries. She also spent many hours on Lutheran World Relief projects, especially the quilts and layettes. At her daughter's urging, she wrote "Wasn't it amazing, Judy Grace," which included the story of her German and French-Huguenot (Protestant) background, highlights of their years in the various churches, and favorite recipes she collected along the way. Her cinnamon rolls were the best! Judy is survived by her son, Kevin Luther Stroble, of Marion and her daughter, Ruth Jeannine Roberts, of Moriarty, NM. She is also survived by a grandson, William Howard (Jacque) Roberts; a great-granddaughter, Lahna Jewel Roberts; and a granddaughter, Linden Rose (Bart) Roberts. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and their extended families, as well as special friends like Linda Ruehrmund. She was predeceased by 4 sisters, 3 brothers, 3 half-sisters, and 1 half-brother, as well as 7 nieces and 1 nephew. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, December 22, 2020 at 1 pm at Marion Cemetery with Deacon Kevin Kehn of Emanuel Lutheran Church officiating. Burial will follow. 11300 Marjorie (nee Canham) Hale, age 97, of North Tonawanda, died Thursday, May 21, 2015 at the DeGraff Skilled Nursing Facility after a long illness. Born in Barre, NY, she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Stella (nee Miller) Canham and had been a resident of North Tonawanda for the greater part of her life. She had been a member of North Presbyterian Church, a member of the Senior Citizens and a volunteer for the Clothes Closet in North Tonawanda. Marjorie was the wife of the late Irving C. Hale, who died in 1989, and the mother of the late Beverly A. Baker, who died last year.

She is survived by 2 daughters, Anita (Jim) Stilwell of Florida and Donna (Bill) Fox of Lyndonville, NY; and a son, Gary D. Hale of Grand Island, NY. Also surviving are 9 grandchildren, many great and great-great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews.

There is no visitation. Arrangements were cared for privately at the convenience of the family, followed by inurnment of her cremains at White Chapel Memorial Park, Town of Amherst. If desired, memorials to Niagara Hospice, 4675 Sunset Drive, Lockport, NY 14094, are preferred by the family.
