11451 Mary E. Seelbinder, 78, of the Town of Niagara, NY, passed away on Friday, February 1, 2019 in Mount St. Mary’s Hospital.  Born on October 7, 1940 in the Town of Niagara, she was the daughter of the late Mack and Pearl (Beatty) Gibbons.  In 1961, she married William J. Seelbinder.  He predeceased her in 1994.
 
Myrt, as she was known to family and friends, was a lifelong area resident and attended local schools. She enjoyed a 50 plus year career in waitressing. At the time of her retirement in 2010, she was a 25 year employee of Pete’s Market House. Prior to this, she owned and operated Bill’s Grill and The Arterial Lounge. Myrt enjoyed shopping, camping, traveling and above all, taking care of her family.

Myrt is survived by sons, Norm (Becky) Seelbinder, Jeff (Cheryl) Seelbinder, Kevin (Lynn) Seelbinder and Randy (Tammy) Seelbinder; 13 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; a brother, Sam “Shorty” (Marcia) Gibbons; her niece, who was like a daughter, Deb Dufour, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.  In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a son, James “Bim” (late Debbie) Gibbons; 5 brothers and 3 sisters.

11452 Mary Elizabeth Proefrock "Betty" 83, of North Tonawanda Tuesday, (May 19, 2015) in DeGraff Memorial Hosptal. Betty was born in Malone, New York on October 31, 2015 to Frances and Beatrice (DesJardin) Machaby. Betty was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother to her family.
Betty is survived by her husband Robert Allen Proefrock, mother of Robert A. (April) Proefrock, Beth (Kama) Patterson, Jan (the late Donald) Loeffert-Foss, sister of the late Patricia, Frances, and Hector, grandmother of Melissa (Mike), Nicole (Jay), Amber, Gary, Katie, Nicholas, and Robbie, great grandmother of Brandon, Dillon, Emily, and Jordan. also Surviving are many nieces and nephews.

11453 Mary Ellen Fish, 65, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Tuesday, October 11, 2016 at her residence. After growing up in New York, Mrs. Fish moved to Cleveland and has lived in the area for the past 25 years. She was of the Nazarene faith and a retiree of Peyton's Southeastern.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred Fish; parents, Edgar Morgan and Dorothy Ackerman Morgan; brothers, Eddie Morgan and Phillip Morgan; and sister, Sally Brumfield.
She is survived by two children, Holly Brock and husband Jeremy, and Todd Fish and girlfriend Abby Fish, all of Cleveland; five grandchildren, Chayton Williams, Jacy Williams, Mini Fish, Gabriel Fish and Izabelle Fish; two sisters, Susan White of Pelham, AL, and Dorothy 'Dory' Morgan of New York; former daughter-in-law, Teri Fish; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive.
A memorial service will be conducted at 4:00 PM on Saturday, October 15, 2016, in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Reverend Gene Brock officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM on Saturday prior to the service.

11454 Mary F. Certo Morinello Rolle, 100, of Lewiston, NY, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 17, 2022 surrounded by her loving family while under the care of Niagara Hospice. Born in Niagara Falls, NY, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Catherine (Antonucci) Certo.
Mary attended local schools and graduated from Niagara Falls High School. She was employed at her family’s business, Certo Brothers Distributing Company, for over 50 years as the payroll specialist. Mary took great pride in working fulltime, but never losing sight as being a devoted mother. She also cherished the time spent in Phoenix, AZ, being a caretaker to her father for many years.
Mary was a devout Catholic and longtime member of the Third Sunday Sodality Group, as well as the St. Joseph’s Mother’s Club.
Mary was an avid reader and enjoyed completing word scramble puzzles daily. She also loved playing the lottery and going to the Casino. Above all, Mary centered her life around her beloved family. She will be greatly remembered as a wonderful person who was like a mother to everyone.
Mary is survived by her children, Hon. Angelo J. (Rose) Morinello, NYS Assemblyman, Laura (late Frank) Morinello-LaVia and Vincent (Karen) Rolle; her grandchildren, Melissa (Joseph Genovese) Morinello, Matthew (Grace Labbe) Morinello, Maximos Rolle, Karoline Rolle, Niko Rolle and Marco Rolle; her-greatgrandchildren, Giuliana and Raffaela Genovese; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews, all of whom she cherished as her own children. Mary was predeceased by her first husband, Manny Morinello and her second husband, Aldo Rolle; and her siblings, Margaret (late Frank) (late Palmer) Serianni, Ken (late Katie) Certo, Albert (late Josephine) Certo, Henry (Natalie) Certo, Hon. Anthony (late Rita) Certo and Elizabeth M. (late Robert) Pfleger.

Mary Fegatilli, 85, of Niagara Falls, NY passed away on Wednesday November 4, 2015 at Niagara Hospice House in Lockport, NY. Born in Niagara Falls, NY she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Aniela (Bak) Beczkowski.

Mary attended local schools and on February 26, 1949 she married Salvatore J. Fegatilli in Niagara Falls, NY. Mr. Fegatilli predeceased her on September 13, 2003. Mary worked as an unemployment clerk for the New York State Department of Labor in Niagara Falls, NY for over fifteen years. She enjoyed going to the casino, and spending time with family and friends.

Mary is survived by two daughters, Paula (Anthony) Guetta and Nancy (John) Mastromatteo; four grandchildren, Anthony J. (Shanna) Guetta, Danielle (Neal) Urban, Adam (Elizabeth) Mastromatteo, and Natalie Mastromatteo; four great-grandchildren, Julia and Elena Guetta, Gabriella and Emmalynn Mastromatteo; a sister, Irene (late Peter) Bak, and nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two brothers, Henry (late Millie) Beczkowski and Stanley (late Jennie) Beczkowski.

There will be no prior visitation. 11456 Mary G. (Fantrazzo) Oliver, 92 of Youngstown, NY passed away on Thursday October 22, 2015 at Elderwood at Grand Island Health Care Facility. Born in Niagara Falls, NY, she as the daughter of the late Charles and Katy (Ciraolo) Fantrazzo.

Mary was a lifelong resident of the Niagara Falls area. She attended local schools, and was a graduate of Niagara Falls High School. She later attended the Wilton School of Cake Decorating and Design in Chicago, IL. On October 3, 1942, Mary married Tony Oliver in St. Joseph’s Church in Niagara Falls. Mr. Oliver predeceased her on March 29, 1993. For several years, Mary worked at the Carborundum Company in Niagara Falls. Mary had a passion for cake decorating and baking. She also enjoyed cooking and was an avid rose gardener.

Mrs. Oliver is survived by her two daughters, Annette (George) Streb of Youngstown, NY and Jane Geracci of Texas, and was predeceased by two sons, Tony Oliver and Dominick Oliver. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren, Michael (Lori) Streb, Julie (Dr. Robert) Meyer, Anthony Oliver, Kristina (Anthony) Hajak, Amy (Charles) Sanfilippo, Angela Geracci and Vincent Geracci, 3 great-grandchildren, Christian Michael Streb, Jack William Meyer and Brittany Hajak, as well as several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins. She was also predeceased by six brothers and two sisters, Joseph (late Phyllis) Fantrazzo, Dominick (late Freda) Fantrazzo, Samuel (late Bernice) Fantrazzo, Charles (late Betty) Fantrazzo, Angelo (late Rose) Fantrazzo, Frank Fantrazzo, Tona (late George) Ayotte and Freda Dolce.

There will be no prior visitation. 11457 Mary G. Agnello, 93, of Niagara Falls, NY passed away at Niagara Rehab on May 5, 2020. Born in Niagara Falls Ontario, Canada, she was the daughter of the late Frank F. and Constance (Borelli) Accetta.
Mary married Arthur J. Agnello, Sr. in 1949.  Mr. Agnello predeceased her on January 22, 1980.  Mary was a loving homemaker who always had an open door to family and friends for hospitality.  She enjoyed baking and cooking and in her younger years playing Bingo.
Mary is survived by her children, Elaine (Robert) Noake and Arthur Agnello, Jr; her grandchildren, Marcus (Michelle) Palazzo, Jason (Carla) Palazzo, Anthony Agnello, and Alexandria (Michael, N.F.P.D.) Badolato; great grandchildren, Nigel, Gianna, Nina, Dominick and Angelo; sisters, Helen Cowell and Constance (late Bert) Heksch; brother Pat (Sandy) Accetta, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.  She was predeceased by her son Dominick J. Agnello and her siblings, Rose (late Sam) D’Agnelo, Vincenette (late George) Kostyo, Vincent (late Julie) Accetta, Frank F. Accetta, Catherine (late Ruben) Burns, Jeanette (late Bill) Miller, and Frances (late Matthew) Bernat.

11458 Mary G. “Dee” (Quigliano) Kubas, 91, of Niagara Falls, NY passed away on Monday, September 26, 2016 at N.F. Memorial Medical Center. Born in Niagara Falls, NY she was the daughter of the late Joseph A. and Annette (Runfalo) Quigliano.

Dee, as she was known to everyone, was a lifelong resident of Niagara Falls, NY and attended local schools. On April 24, 1948 she married William J. Kubas at Sacred Heart Church. Mr. Kubas predeceased her on September 4, 2002. She was employed at Carborundum Co. in Niagara Falls. Mary and her husband actively supported the Knights of Columbus and the Niagara Falls Senior Group. Most of all she loved spending time with her family.

Mary is survived by five sisters Annette (late Mil) McCormick, Lena (late Claude) Morningstar, Carrie (late Dick) Gibbons, Alice (late Dom) Elia and Delores (Guido) Mistriner and was loved by several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two sisters Ann (late Leo) Cicero and Josephine (late Ed) Zahno and three brothers Frank (late Angie) Quigliano, Salvatore (late Jean) Quigliano and Lawrence (late Shirley) Quigliano, Sr.

Signorelli, 85, of Niagara Falls, NY passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 18, 2022.  Born in Niagara Falls, she was the daughter of the late Mitchell and Aniela ‘Nellie’ (Smist) Patronski; and the beloved wife of the late Frank ‘Munchy’ Signorelli, U.S. Navy, whom she married June 30, 1962 at Our Lady of Lebanon Church.
Mary was a graduate of Niagara Falls High School.  She was employed by the City of Niagara Falls as the Senior Account Associate in the Accounting and Public Works Departments and served as the Financial Secretary and Benefits Coordinator for the United Steel Workers of America Union.  Mary was an inspiration to her co-workers, as one mentioned, “her boundless energy and profound dedication to helping others was something her mother instilled in her early in life”.  She was also a committed volunteer and coordinated countless fundraising activities in support of Camp Good Days and Special Times, in an effort to improve the quality of life for families impacted by cancer.   
Mary was a devout Catholic and longtime member of the former Holy Trinity Church, and a current parishioner of and volunteer at Divine Mercy Parish.
Mary enjoyed working in her garden, canning foods, making jewelry and refinishing furniture.  She loved sharing her passion for baking by delivering her famous Christmas cookies each year along with countless freshly made cheesecakes for showers, weddings, work and family gatherings.  She was well known for preparing income taxes for friends & family, helping others with estate planning and enjoyed immersing herself in interpreting complicated tax laws. Above all, Mary centered her life around her beloved family and cherished the times spent together on adventures and traveling, especially with her grandchildren.
Mrs. Signorelli is survived by her children, Angela Signorelli-Bianco and Michael J. (Paula) Signorelli, U.S. Navy; six grandchildren, Paul (Erin) Bianco, Eric (Grace) Bianco, Adrienne Bianco, Nicholas Signorelli, Brayden Signorelli and Avery Signorelli; her siblings, Dorothy (Ron DeSchalit) Boager, Jane (late Gordon) Alden and Robert ‘Tony’ (Kelly) Patronski, as well as nieces, nephews, cousins, dear friends and neighbors.  She was predeceased by her beloved siblings, Mitchell ‘Sonny’, Teddy, Joann, Linda, Barbara and Sharon.

11460 Mary Helen Gruppo, 87, of Lewiston, NY, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 27th, 2016 at Niagara Hospice House. Born in Punxsutawney, PA she was the loving daughter of the late Harvey Blake and Neeley (Bowers) Brooks.

Mary attended schools in Punxsutawney and moved to Niagara Falls in 1947. On June 23, 1951, she married Neil M. Gruppo at St. Joseph Church and spent 65 wonderful years together. Mary was employed as a secretary in the human resource department at Mount St. Mary’s Hospital for over 25 years until her retirement in 1991. She was an avid reader, enjoyed completing crossword puzzles and baking delicious pies. She also had many dear friends and was loved by all.

In addition to her devoted husband, she is survived by her children, Linda (Keith) Radford, Cheryl (Mario) Nardelli, Neil (Rhonda) Gruppo and Nancy (John) Colucci; eight grandchildren, Noelle (Eric) McGuire, Adam (Michelle) De Fazio, Daniel Gruppo, Mario (Jillian) Colucci, Cara Nardelli, Anthony (Danielle) Gruppo, Alexa De Fazio, Katie Gruppo and was predeceased by her grandson Eric De Fazio. She is also survived by her great-grandchildren Maximus McGuire, Mia McGuire, Azzurra De Fazio, Lucia De Fazio, Liliana Colucci, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was also predeceased by her two brothers Dale (late Katherine) Brooks and William (late Henrietta) Brooks.

11461 Mary Helen Wyatt, age 85, went home to meet Jesus at her Sanborn, NY, residence on November 3, 2016. Mary was born in North Tonawanda, NY on May 15, 1931 to the late William and Louise (Broeker) Mueller. In 1953, she married J.P. Wyatt, who passed away in 1990. Mary was a lifelong and devoted member of St. Andrew's Lutheran Church. She was an avid gardener and St. Andrew's Ladies Aid member. She enjoyed bird-watching, baking and spending time with her family.
Mary is survived by her six children, Mattie (Peter) Wallace, Betty (Charles) Johnson, William (Marcia) Wyatt, James Wyatt, Sr., Mary Jane (Donald) Guyette and Donna (Matthew Pisarski) Wyatt; as well as many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Mary is also survived by her loving sister, Ruth DeVantier of Sanborn, NY. She is predeceased by her brother, Arthur Mueller; and dear friend, Phyllis Stoelting.
Visitation will be held at DuBois Funeral Home, Niagara Falls on Sunday, November 6th from 1:00-5:00 PM. Services will be conducted by the Rev R.P. Vogeler at St. Andrew's Lutheran Church on Monday, November 7th at 10:00 AM with burial immediately following at Acacia Park Cemetery. 11462 Mary J. Hoover (Braegas) age 81, of North Tonawanda, September 25, 2017 in Beechwood Nursing Home, where she has resided for the last five years. Mary along with her late husband Paul Hoover founded P&M Printing in 1966, which became Pioneer Printers in 1986. Mary had been a former member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church, the Ladies Guild and had been a former youth counselor. She is currently a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church. She had been a member of the V.F.W. Drum Corps.
Beloved mother of Tracy (William) Schultz of Grand Island, Carl (Valerie) Hoover of North Tonawanda, and Peter (Janet) Hoover of Waterford, MI. Grandmother of Cortny Frank, Roberta (Patrick) Callocchia, Billy (Katie) Schultz, Jacqueline Berecz, Paul (Candy) Hoover, Joshua (Vittoria) Hoover, Stephen Hoover. Great grandmother of 11 great-grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Doris Brody and Janet Duquette. Aunt of Cecile Boyle and Kevin Duquette and several other nieces and nephews.

11463 Mary Jane (Bennis) Berthot, 67, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, January 28th, 2018 at Mount St. Mary’s Hospital in Lewiston, NY. Born in Niagara Falls, NY, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Jinoski) Bennis.

Mary Jane was a lifelong resident of Niagara Falls, graduating from Madonna High School in 1968. In 1971, she graduated from Gowanda State Hospital School of Nursing. Mary Jane was employed as a nurse for several local physicians in the Niagara Falls area until her retirement to care for her husband. She had a true passion for the Christmas traditions of decorating, gift giving and getting together with family and friends. Mary Jane also enjoyed summers by the pool, gatherings, parties, and dances with family and friends.

In addition to the love of her life and husband of 47 years, James ‘Jim’ Berthot, Mary Jane is survived by her children, Paul Berthot, Jill Berthot, and Angela (Brian) Gregory, her two granddaughters, her sisters, Stephanie Bennis, Joni Bennis, and Francine Bennis as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Mary Jane was a lifelong resident of Niagara Falls and attended LaSalle High School.  She was employed in the environmental services department of Mount St. Mary’s Hospital, for 10 years, and previously for the Roadway Inn on Buffalo Avenue.  Mary Jane was a communicant of Prince of Peace Church.  She loved bowling and above all caring for her family.
 
Mary Jane is survived by sons, Thomas I. (Sheri) Dier, Jr. and Timothy J. (Jennifer) Dier; grandchildren, James, Jeffery, Brittany and Stephany and many great-grandchildren.  She is also survived by siblings, Shirley A. (late Donald) Hughes, Wilfred R. “Buddy” (Patricia) Bockmier, Robert J. (Shirley) Bockmier, Patricia Irene “Patty” (William) Lacy and Marjorie J. Kelly; an aunt, Marjorie J. (late David) Kennerknecht and several nieces, nephews and cousins.  In addition to her parents, Mary Jane was predeceased by a son, Mark Dier and her former spouse, Thomas I. Dier, Sr.

She was born July 14, 1936, in Wolcott, IN, the daughter of George Elmer and Nora (Hattabough) Schuman. She attended school in Wolcott, IN. She was married to Arnold W. Burman in 1955, and he predeceased her in 1957. Mary Jane moved from Goodland, IN, to North Tonawanda, NY, in September of 1957. She married her husband, Edward D. Sydor in 1962. She was a former trustee of the First Baptist Church of Sanborn. Mary Jane was a member of the Sanborn Fire Co. Ladies Auxiliary, for over 35 years, where she had served as vice president. She was a member of the Sanborn Historical Society, the Sanbornite Senior Citizens, where she served as vice president for two years, ending May 21, 2003. She loved playing bingo. She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Edward D. Sydor; four children, Sherry (Willard) Haseley of Niagara Falls, Bonnie (Rick) Morrison of Tonawanda, NY, David E. Sydor of North Tonawanda, NY, Barbara (Thomas) Heldwein of Lockport, NY; six grandchildren, Kristen, Dannielle, Darlene, Amanda, Jacob and Lucas; four great- grandchildren, Aiden and Tyler Shattuck, Sydney Galas and Evan Hanel two brothers, George E. (Doris) Schuman, Jr., Jack (Pearl) Schuman; sister-in- law, Delores Schuman; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her sister, Lois Haney; and brother, Robert Schuman. 11467 Mary Jane Kelsch, 95, went home to God on Friday, March 6th, 2015 as she desired..peacefully in her chair, in her home. She was born in Niagara Falls on October 11, 1919, the second of eight children of Lloyd and Edna Bloomstine. Her parents and all five brothers, and one sister pre-deceased her. Her beloved husband of 72 years, Walter, passed from this life in October, 2013.

She attended local schools and graduated from LaSalle High School, before entering the work force in Niagara Falls as a Collector. She met the love of her life, Walter, while in High School and soon married him. They endured the loss of their first born, and years of separation caused by WW11. After the war, she became a full-time housewife, and part-time grape farmer. She was noted for her excellent baked goods, especially grape pie, and homemade yeast rolls. She went out of her way to make birthdays, Valentines' Day, and other holidays special...going so far as to let one of her daughters, while in Jr. High, wear her wedding dress for Halloween. Though she never believed it, her skills in the kitchen were extraordinary and everything she made was culinary gold. Mary Jane was a generous woman, industrious, selfless, charitable, and friendly.When her daughters were young, she would spend regular time reading to them, teaching them letters, and numbers, playing with them, and teaching them how to pray. She was involved for many years with the Ladies of Charity at St. John de LaSalle Parish, and their annual Lawn Fete., After joining Immaculate Conception Parish in Ransomville, she became active in the Rosary Altar Society,a member of the Parish Council and for 20 years, with her husband, Chaired and worked the Bingo games at the parish. She also belonged to the Caritias Society, and regularity donated baked goods for parish events. Not afraid of physical work, she and her husband grew and sold produce , including grapes, at the N. Tonawanda City Farmers Market, starting in their 60's and finally "retiring" from ii in their early 80's.

She is survived by two daughters, Donna Kelsch, and Sharon Patton, her sister "Tootie" Laws, sister-in-law, Kathleen Bloomstine, and many nieces, nephews, and godchildren.

The family will be present on Monday from 4-8 PM at the RHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 5893 Hoover Road, SANBORN, NY. 11468 Mary Jane OberMuller, 69, of Niagara Falls, NY passed away on Friday, November 22, 2019 at home with her loving family by her side. Born in Dunkirk, NY on December 31, 1949 she was the daughter of the late Edward and Sandra (Tokarz) Zielinski and attended local schools.
Mary Jane entered the United States Marines on September 20, 1968 and received the National Defense Service Medal for her service. She was honorably discharged on January 5, 1970 as LCpl.
After serving her country she returned home and started a family. Sticking to her military roots, she continued to serve others, as she began her 21-year career as a Certified Nurse's Assistant starting at St. Mary's Manor in Niagara Falls, NY in 1991 and ending upon her retirement in 2012 at Our Lady of Peace Nursing residence.
She is survived by her daughter, Andrea Michel; sons, Jeffery (Stacy) OberMuller and Michael (Michele) OberMuller; grandchildren, Christina, Kenny, Ashlie, Eric, Theresa, Alexsandra and Anthony; six great-grandchildren; sisters, Geraldine (Dennis) Grose and Pamela Almon.

Mary Jane was a member of St. John Ev. Lutheran Church, Wheatfield, the Wheatfield Seniors, enjoyed knitting and was a devoted homemaker.

Mary loved living in Florida after retirement, loved her pet dogs, especially Bullitt. 11471 Mary Kathleen "Kathy" Sonberg, age 67 of Newfane, died Wednesday, August 24, 2016, at Niagara Hospice House in Lockport surrounded by and under the loving care of her family.


Kathy was born November 27, 1948 in Niagara Falls, NY, the daughter of the late John J. and Mary Louise (Woomer) Sever. She was raised a Catholic in Niagara Falls and was a 1967 graduate of Niagara Falls High School. Kathy was employed by NY Telephone/Verizon for almost 30 years, most of which was as a Customer Service Representative and her most memorable years were out in the field as a lineman. She then served as a Customer Service Representative with the Niagara County Department of Motor Vehicles, retiring in 2012.


Kathy married Richard W. Sonberg on September 6, 1975 and they have resided in Newfane the past 40 years. They enjoyed their horses, pets dogs, and watching the hummingbirds and butterflies so abundant on their property. Kathy enjoyed woodworking as well. Most of all she loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. Kathy will forever be remembered as the Matriarch of her family. Her concern and love for her entire family prompted her to quietly work behind the scenes to see that everyone's needs were addressed and resolved to the best of her ability. To call her the "ultimate caregiver" would not be an exaggeration.


She was predeceased by her step father, Francis Donato. In addition to her husband, Rick, she is survived by her daughters, Lori (Michael) Tolli of Newfane and Barbara (Mitchell) Wright of Lyndonville, NY; her beloved grandchildren, Michael and Christina Tolli, Haylee and Evan Wright. Kathy's family also consists of her siblings and their children; the late Richard "Dick" Sever and his children, Johnny, Karen, Nancy, and the late Beverly; the late Sandy (John) Rovison and her children, Jimmy and Jack; Francis (Jane) Donato and his children, Kristin and Erick; Rickie (Debra) Donato and his children, Michelle, Vanessa, and the late Joseph; and Virginia "Ginny" (David) Dehn and her children, Melody and Chuckie. Kathy also leaves behind great nieces and nephews as well as many, many friends.

Mary Lois (Swearengen)Timm, longtime resident of Niagara Falls, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 31, 2015. She was 91. She was born in West Virginia on July 29, 1924, a daughter of the late Clarence and Marguerite (Williams) Swearengen. She and her family moved to Niagara Falls when she was a child and she attended local schools, graduating from LaSalle High School.
She married Alvin Timm in 1943 in San Antonio, Texas and they remained happily married for 66 years until his passing in 2009. Mrs. Timm worked at the Wurlitzer factory and then as a bookkeeper and traffic manager for Clarence Hackett and Carmen Pariso trucking for many years. She was a longtime volunteer at the Kavinoky Theatre at D’Youville College and DeGraff Hospital (25 years) and was a member of the Mother’s Club, the Lakeshore Ladies Club. She was an avid reader, loved to travel, enjoyed shopping, puzzles and dominos and, along with her husband, spent the winters in Tavares, Florida.
Mrs. Timm is survived by two daughters: Bonnie (Paul) Driskel and Rebecca (Sandy Sidell) Timm, three grandchildren: Paul(Katrina) Driskel, Barbara (Jeff) Zellner and Suzanne (Daniel) Clock. She is also survived by 6 great-grandchildren: Nicole (Tim) Scesney, Jake Driskel, Jeffery, Jonathon and Justin Zellner and Samuel Clock, two great-great-grandchildren, two siblings: Donald (Ellen) Swearengen and Pete (Michelle) Swearengen. In addition to her husband and parents she was predeceased by her son Daniel Timm and three siblings: Richard (late Jane) Swearengen, Rebecca (late Richard) Dent and Mildred (late Jim) Whitmarsh.

11474 Mary L. Bax, 76, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on June 1, 2024 at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center in Buffalo, NY.  Born in Ringgold, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Iris Wyant and step-daughter of the late Red Barnett.
Mary came to the Niagara Falls Area at the age of 13 with her family.  She graduated from Niagara Falls High School and later earned her Associates Degree from Kelly Business School.          On February 12, 1966, she married Guy A. Bax at Sacred Heart Church in Niagara Falls, NY.  Mary was employed as an administrative and executive secretary at Carborundum Corporation for 20 years and later worked as a purchasing agent at Occidential Chemical Corporation for 20 years prior to her retirement in 2010.  
Mary enjoyed gardening, art, attending theatre shows, especially at Shea’s, and traveling extensively with her husband.  She cherished her dear friends and was extremely close to her beloved bulldog, Agnes.  More than anything, her family was her alpha and her omega, and she was happiest when she was taking care of her family, especially her grandchildren.
In addition to her husband of 58 years, Mary is survived by her children, Anthony L. (Sabrina) Bax of New Paltz, NY, Stephanie L. (Rob Chandler) Bax, and Guy C. (Stacy) Bax; her grandchildren, Luca F. Bax, Savino A. Bax, and Carmine F. Bax, as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.

Born August 4, 1938 in the Town of Lewiston, she was the daughter of the late George and Dolores (nee Doebler) Beckett and had been a resident of Tonawanda for the greater part of her life. Before retiring, Mary had been employed at Niagara Mohawk. She was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Parish in Tonawanda where she had been involved with the Pro-Life Committee and the Mission and Prayer Groups.
She was the sister of Kathy Brenon, Carol (Greg) Galdon, George (Sandy) Beckett, James (Joan) Beckett, and the late David Beckett, Judy Henderson, Patricia Barth, and John Beckett; and was the loving companion of the late James LaFleur. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews.

Mary was a graduate from Niagara Falls High School.  On June 30, 1979, she married Richard G. Clute, NFPD Det. Lt., in Niagara Falls.  Mr. Clute predeceased her on February 16, 1995.  Mary was employed by Verizon for over 20 years until her retirement in 1993.  She later worked for Niagara University and Niagara Hospice.  Mary enjoyed reading and loved taking her Golden Retriever Maddie for walks.  Above all, Mary’s life centered around her family and grandchildren, and she cherished the time spent with them and attending their sporting events.  She will be remembered most for her selflessness, kindness, and thoughtful and giving nature.
Mary is survived by her children, Scott (Shayna) Clute and Shannon (Michael) Scott; her grandchildren, Ryan Scott, Walker Clute, Kaitlyn Scott, and Baylor Clute; her sisters, Maureen ‘Micky’ (Karl) Schwenkbeck and Marge Collins, as well as by several nieces and nephews.  In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her sister, Patricia (late Charlie) Cascio.

Mary was an executive secretary to the General Manager of Harrison Radiator Divivsion where she worked for 33 years, retiring in 1984. She was born in Cumberland, Maryland on November 20, 1920, a daughter of the late David S. and Mary (Gordon) Grant. She moved to the area as child. She attended area schools and was in the first class to graduate from LaSalle High School.
Mrs. Jagow worked for Chemical Warfare in the 1940’s. She also worked for the Niagara Falls Board of Education as a reading aid. She retired in the 1980’s. She was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church and helped with its newsletter. She enjoyed traveling and socializing with her friends.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Edward N. Jagow in 1988.
Survivors include two children, Robert G. Jagow of Niagara Falls and Nancy Olivero (Donald) of Lockport; a sister, Jean Kelley of Rochester; a cousin, LaVonne Hill of Niagara Falls; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

11480 Mary Louise (Larson) Wade, formerly of Munson Avenue currently residing in assisted living in Virginia, passed from this earthly life on Thursday July 24, 2015 in Sentara Leigh Hospital, Norfolk, VA. She was 91.

Mrs. Wade was born in Niagara Falls, NY on April 13, 1924 the daughter of the late Thure M. and May L. (McRory) Larson. She attended local schools and began her career in banking in 1960 as a bank Teller with the former Marine Midland Bank, retiring in 1981 after 21 years of dedicated customer service.

Mary was a member of St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church since the late 1950 serving on many committees including as treasurer of the Missionary Group for many years.

Survivors include her husband Walter Glenwood Wade, her children: John R. (Donna) Cooper of Virginia Beach, Virginia, and Sharon Docteur of St. Paul, Minnesota, six grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother Robert A. Larson.

Family will be present Tuesday 4-8 P.M. in the LANE FUNERAL HOME, INC., 8622 Buffalo Avenue. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A..M. She is the daughter of the late Victor and the late Julia (Rizzo) Beretta. Mary was a 1956 graduate of Niagara Falls H.S. She married Matthew Laughlin on October 4th, 1958, he predeceased her on May 25th, 2023. Mary was a wonderful cook and loved to feed her family and friends any chance she could get. She also liked to travel and playing cards She is survived by her son, Michael (Julie) Laughlin; her grandchildren, Michael (Courtney) Laughlin Jr. and Andrew (Caitlyn) Laughlin; great granddaughter, Vayda Laughlin. 11482 Mary Louise Wieland, 88, passed away on Friday, January 31, 2025, under the compassionate care of Niagara Hospice after a long decline with Alzheimer's disease. Born on March 15, 1936, in Fort Niagara, NY, she was the beloved daughter of the late Orsino and Margaret (nee Amsdill) Hodge.
On October 24, 1959, Mary married Kenneth W. Wieland in Youngstown, NY. Together, they operated Wieland's Greenhouses on River Road in Youngstown, NY, for many years. She also contributed to the local community by working at several businesses, including Barnum's Pharmacy, Old Fort Niagara, and Bell Aerospace.
Mary was actively involved in church activities at St. John's Episcopal Church in Youngstown, NY, where she served as a lay reader and Warden, and participated in many committees and community service projects over the years. She leaves behind a legacy of service with a smile. Mary Louise Wieland will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and community. Her legacy of service, love, and dedication will continue to inspire all who knew her.
Mary's greatest pride was her family. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her youngest son, Keith Wieland. She is survived by her loving children, Wendy (David) Wieland-Alter, Karen (Andrew) Cline, and Eric (Wendy Shaw) Wieland. She also leaves behind cherished grandchildren, Lauren (Rahul Sharma) Schmidt, Amanda (Jonah) Jueckstock, Erich Schmidt, Kristine (Brandon) Abraham, Kendra (Spencer) Lilly, and Eric (Olivia Reagan) Wieland; and adored great-granddaughters, Mila and Amara Schmidt, Emma and Amelia Jueckstock.

Mary and her family lived on the Six Nations Reservation until moving to Niagara Falls, New York in the early 1940's. She married Albert Platt November 11, 1950. Together they bought a farm in Appleton and started a family. She worked at Oldham Saw, retiring when the business relocated. One of her greatest joys was her children, grandchildren and extended family. She loved preparing delicious holiday meals and having all her family at the farm. She was an avid reader and enjoyed sketching and yard sailing. She is survived by her children, David (Tracy Mellott) Platt, Anne Platt, Michael (Susan) Platt, Cindy Bailey, Doug (Peg) Platt, Carrie (Daniel) Hogan, Kim (Andrew) Schuler and Matthew Platt, 25 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren with 2 on the way! 11487 Mary M. Sicoli, 93, of Lewiston, NY, passed away on May 6, 2023 at her Lewiston home.  Born in Niagara Falls, NY, she was the daughter of the late Dominick and Rose (Falcone) Massaro.
Mary was a 1948 graduate of Niagara Falls High School.  On September 27, 1952, she married Benjamin M. Sicoli at St. Joseph RC Church.  Mr. Sicoli predeceased her on September 18, 2010.  Mary and Ben deeply loved each other throughout their 58 wonderful years of marriage.   Mary was employed with her husband as the bookkeeper for Sicoli Masonry Construction Company from 1955 until 1963. 
A loving, faith filled person, she was a long-time parishioner of St Peter's RC Church.   She was an avid golfer and a longtime member of Niagara Frontier Country Club and Niagara Falls Country Club, where she chaired various social committees.  She also volunteered with the Mt. St. Mary’s St. Francis Guild and the Ladies Auxiliary at Niagara Falls Memorial Hospital.   Mary enjoyed playing Bridge and spending time with her lifelong group of friends, affectionately known as "The Charmers”.    She loved her 3 dogs, Pierre, Reggie and Spike, dearly.   Mary also enjoyed spending winters at her Boca Raton, Florida residence.  An avid cook and baker, she showed her love through cooking and baking, especially during the holidays. Above all, her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren gave her the most joy and meaning in her life.   She was cherished in life and will be dearly missed.

11489 Mary M. “Peggy” Butera, 79, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on February 27, 2021 at her residence.  Born in Niagara Falls, NY, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Jean (Zralka) Costo.
In 1966, Peggy married Valentino L. Butera in Niagara Falls.  Mr. Butera predeceased her on February 18, 1995.  She worked side by side with her husband at Valentino L. Butera, CPA, serving as a co-owner and bookkeeper, for over 20 years.  Peggy will be remembered as an extremely hard worker, constantly cleaning, cooking, and helping her family with whatever they needed.  Above all, she cherished the time that she spent with her grandchildren.
Mrs. Butera is survived by her sons, Gregory J. (Valerie) Butera and Christopher M. (Courtney) Butera; her grandchildren, Arianna Butera, Gabriella Butera, Noah Butera, and Helena Butera, as well as several nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by her brothers, Richard (Norma) Costo and John (Lois) Costo.

11490 Mary Marjorie "Marge" Abray of Wheatfield, NY, passed away on June 25, 2022, at the age of 85.
She is predeceased by her husband, Clifford, who passed away May 20, 2022. They had celebrated their 64th wedding anniversary on May 17, 2022.
Survived by daughters, Susan (Craig) Boyce, Allison (Ronald) Gugliuzza; and sons, Thomas (Donna Mahoney) and James (Joan). Also survived by grandchildren, Alexander (Amanda Zranchev) and Andrew Boyce, Jeremiah Abray and Sara Gugliuzza; her sister-in-law, Janice (late Don) DiBacco; niece, Nicole (John) Merletti; and many dear friends.
Marge graduated from Stella Niagara Seminary in 1955. She was a long-time member of Riverside Presbyterian Church in Niagara Falls, serving as church financial secretary, Sunday School Superintendent and teacher. She was a Red Cross volunteer and was employed as a secretary at Union Carbide Corp. and Bacon Memorial Church.
Upon death, her body was donated to the UB Anatomical Gift Program at the Jacobs School of Medicine.
A celebration of life service will be held at Riverside Presbyterian Church at 815-84th Street in Niagara Falls on Sunday July 17 at 1 PM.

11491 Mary Marten Czamanske, registered nurse and devoted mother, died on Saturday, August 6, at DeGraff Memorial Hospital in North Tonawanda from complications of pneumonia and heart failure. Mary lived in Kansas City and was visiting her family in the Tonawandas at the time of her death. Mary was born in Hazel Park, MI in 1936, the daughter of the late Reverend Paul and Lydia (Marten) Czamanske.
Her father moved the family frequently as he was called to Lutheran churches around the Midwest. The family lived in Michigan, Wisconsin, Missouri, and upstate New York. Mary graduated high school in Warrensburg, MO and attended nursing school at St. Luke's in Kansas City, MO where she received her nursing degree.
Mary practiced nursing in nearly all specialties during her healthcare career, including labor and delivery, emergency care, geriatric care, and in-home healthcare. She had a wonderful gift working with the elderly and helping their families prepare for and deal with death. She was the director of Catholic Charities in-home healthcare division in Kansas City from 1989 to 1998.
Mary spent the majority of her adult life in Arizona and Kansas. Her passions included antiques, old movies, Coca-Cola, and spending time with family. She had an incredibly close relationship with her six brothers and sisters and 20 nieces and nephews. Mary loved the holidays, especially Christmas. She was a devout Christian who loved sharing her faith, and was an eternal optimist.
Mary is survived by her daughter Lydia; two sons, Andrew and Matthew; three siblings, Paul, Caroline Duerr, and Rebekah Muscoreil; 11 grandchildren, Matthew, Jennifer, Lydia, Elizabeth, Caroline, Andrew, Emily, Billy, Nick, Emmy, Jaxon, and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister, Ruth Thomas; and a brother, William.
Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 9th at 10 AM at Immanuel Lutheran Church 107 Scott Street, Tonawanda, NY. Interment immediately following the service at St. Matthew Lutheran Cemetery. Mary graduated from Mt. St. Mary’s High School in the Town of Tonawanda, where she was a member of a sorority.  On July 30, 1960, she married Richard S. Francis, who predeceased her in 1995. Mary was employed as a secretary for Columbus McKinnon Chain Works in Tonawanda, NY.  Mary loved baking and card playing, especially pinochle.  Above all, she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Mary is survived by her children, Melinda Sattelberg (Brian Vouch), Carolyn Francis, and Connie (Timothy) Lemanski; her grandchildren, Jennifer Sattleberg, Richard Kavanaugh, Kenneth Francis, Marilyn Dryburgh, Timothy Lemanski, Jr., and Jonathon Lemanski; great grandchildren, Kaitlin, Cory, Ava, Camden, and Isla; her siblings, Michael (Jeanette) Kloch, Thomas (Lauren) Kloch, Barbara (Larry) Moore, Francis (Jackie) Kloch, Stephen (Lana) Kloch, Margaret (Frank) Lehman, Catherine Kloch, and Theresa Kloch, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.  She was predeceased by her grandson, Gary Sattleberg, Jr., as well as her siblings, Anthony Kloch, Jr. and Anna Gunn.

Mary Rose Boyer, 89, of North Tonawanda, New York passed away on Wednesday, August 31, 2016 at DeGraff Memorial Hospital Skilled Nursing Facility
Born August 30th, 1927 in North Tonawanda, she was the daughter of the late James and Irene O’Connor.
Mary was a graduate of D’Youville College with a degree in Chemistry. She was devoted to her family, and loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Jack David Boyer; one daughter, Mary Beldowicz and husband Edward of Northvale, N, J.; three sons, Dr. David Boyer and wife, Kim of North Tonawanda, N.Y., Joseph Boyer and wife, Joanne of West Seneca N,Y, John Boyer and wife, Teresa; two brothers, John O’Connor of North Tonawanda, N.Y. and Dr. Cornelius O’Connor of Washington, D.C.; nine grandchildren, Edward, Daniel, Cristina, April, Sarah, Bradley, Michael, Christopher, and Thomas and seven great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be conducted at St. Jude the Apostle Roman Catholic Church in North Tonawanda at a later date.

11496 Mary T. Hibbard (Nee Lombardi), age 90, of Lewiston entered into rest on Sunday, February 26th, 2023, at Mount St. Mary's Hospital in Lewiston, NY. Mary was born on October 22nd, 1932, in Lewiston, NY. She is the daughter of the late Felix A. and the late Nora ( Nee Carmasino) Lombardi. Mary graduated from Stella Niagara School going on to Buffalo General School of Nursing RN Program.She was employed by Lew-port CSD as the school nurse from 1974 to 1997. She had previously worked for Dr. Louis B. Kramer from 1954 till 1968 with other brief employments at Ransomville General Hospital and Nursing Home, Niagara Falls Memorial and Buffalo General. She was a member of the Lewiston Service Guild, she enjoyed playing bridge, going to house sales and auctions, and socializing with family and friends. Surviving is her children, Charlotte Star (Steven "Shorty" Printup) and Harold (Pam) Hibbard; her grandchildren, Charlotte (Kenneth) Mitchell, Jason (Cherie) Hibbard, Donald Hibbard, Amanda Hibbard (Lisa Bartolomei); great grandchildren, Maxine and Kenny Mitchell, Kinsley Hibbard, Christopher Hibbard, Julia Hibbard, Joseph Hibbard and Mason Kelly, also several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. 11498 Mary Theresa (Judge) Lenihan passed away October 23, 2023 in Elderwood Lockport.  Born December 24, 1922 in Lockport, she was the eldest of ten children of Richard J. & Mary Ellen (Moran) Judge.  Mary T. was a St. Joseph’s Academy graduate, valedictorian of the class of 1940.  She was predeceased by her husband, C. Daniel Lenihan on October 26, 2006. 
Mary is survived by her son Mark (Cate) and daughter Margaret Evans; granddaughter Laura Evans; sisters Elizabeth Knox Crane, Margaret Danna Kirsch, and Rita J. Haley; also several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings Richard F. Judge, John M Judge, Donald J. Judge, Joanne M Berhalter, Martin Judge and Anna Herlan. 
Mary worked for Harrison Radiator Division from 1941 to 1946 in the personnel department.  She also taught 3rd grade at St. Patricks School for several years and worked at the Niagara County Budget Department.
