Bickle, 66, of Lyndonville, died Monday night at the Arnold Gregory Memorial Hospital, Albion, after having been in ill health for the past three years. Bom in Lyndonville on March 17, 1922, the son of Roy and Eva (Klino) Bickle, he had spent his whole life in Orleans County. Mr. Bickle had been employed by the Lapp Express Co. for 27 years prior to his retirement in 1977. He was a veteran of World War II, having served in the 506lh Bomber Squadron of the U.S. Army. Survivors include his wife, Margaret A. (Stahl) Bickle; a son, Alfred L. Bickle of Barker; four daughters, Joan Skernick of Medina, Mario Bickle of Lyndonville, Pat Jepson of Middleport, and Mary Lamonte of Lyndonville; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a brother, Leonard Bickle of Dansville; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was pre-deceased by two sisters, Helen Bujalski in 1987 and Verdella Bickle in 1988. Relatives and friends may call at the Houseman Funeral. Home, 228 Park Ave., Medina, today (2-4, 7-9). The Rev. Mr. Snowdon was born Feb. 1,1946, in Niagara Falls, N.Y. His parents are William Snowdon and Beverly (Weigand) Snowdon. Mr. Snowdon was a former resident of Albion, and a graduate of Albion High School. He had Uved in Medina for the last eight years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force having served from 1965-1969. He attended the Presbyterian Church and was a member of the Frontier Skydivers Club. Mr. Snowdon was employed as an inspector at the Harrison Radiator Company in Lockport. He is survived by his wife, Victoria (Brolinski) Snowdon; one son, Christopher Joseph; his mother, Beverly W. Snowdon of Albion; his father, William Snowdon of Venice, Fla.; one sister, Debra Snowdon Cook of Blue Springs, Mo.; his mother- and father-inlaw, Mr. and Mrs. Edward (Mary Jane) Brolinski of Lockport. Deceased was born in Somerset 54 years ago and was the daughter of the late Aaron Coleman. She is survived by her husband, George M. 11898 | Melanie George passed away on May 14, 2019 at the age of 73. She was born in Niagara Falls, NY to Jacob and Martha Wozniak. She graduated from La Salle Senior High School in 1964 and received her Associate of Arts degree from Niagara County Community College in 1967. Later that summer she married John George, also from Niagara Falls, and they moved to Omaha, NE where John attended law school. John, Melanie and their young daughters moved to the Bay Area in 1971. Melanie began working for Santa Clara Unified School District in 1978 as an instructional assistant at Kathryn Hughes Elementary School. She later worked at Scott Lane Elementary School in both mainstream and special education classrooms. When her daughters were older, she took a full-time position as the receptionist at the school district office. She retired in 2002 in order to spend more time with her grandchildren. Melanie is survived by her daughters Leslie (Chris) Kloes of Santa Clara and Merrill (Brian) Turner of Capitola; grandchildren Caroline and Vincent Kloes of Santa Clara; sister-in-law Rosemary (David) Gleason of Greensboro, NC and brother-in-law Joseph (Barbara) George of Niagara Falls, NY. 11899 | Melinda Hicks Jenkins, age 50, passed away peacefully at home on August 5, 2017 with her family by her side. Her journey with cancer was an example of strength and courage to all who knew her. Born on July 5, 1967 in Lewiston, New York, Melinda grew up in Bristol, Tennessee. She graduated from Tennessee High School and East Tennessee State University. In addition to her bachelor's degree, Melinda earned her master's degree in social work from Virginia Commonwealth University and worked as a social worker for the VA Medical Center in Johnson City, Tennessee. Melinda married her husband, Neff Jenkins, on October 17, 1998. They relocated to Jacksonville, Florida in June of 1999. In Jacksonville she continued her career in social work at the Children's Home Society and Baptist Medical Center until her first child was born. Melinda was a devoted wife, a loving and dedicated mother, a skilled cook, and the best friend anyone could have. She was quick with a smile, adventurous, fun loving, thoughtful, and a loyal friend. Melinda had a strong faith in God and lived her faith through her family and friends. She also had a generous spirit for her community, serving through the Junior League of Jacksonville and the Women's Board of Wolfson Children's Hospital. Born in Lancaster, NY, she was the daughter of Michael Lorkowski and Susan (Walter) (late Gary) Purpora. Melissa was raised in Lancaster where she graduated from Lancaster High School in 1995. She obtained her Bachelor’s Degree and Master’s Degree in Education from Buffalo State College. On September 22, 2012 she married her husband, John Venne II at St. Michael’s Church in Buffalo, NY. Melissa was a longtime elementary school teacher for the Buffalo Public Schools until her illness. Above all, Melissa centered her life around her beloved children who will miss her dearly. In addition to her husband and parents, Melissa is survived by her two children, Melania and Jaden Venne; her siblings, Melanie (Kevin) Meller and Jessie Lorkowski; her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Cheryl and John Venne, as well as many beloved nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
